Sure, I agree with you here, as I have had the same problems. But then again I have added the friends that I play with on Origin, and they then take care of the talking if nescessary and I cant. I can still communicate with people that way. Many times I just add people who I see know the game, and are fun to play with.
Again, when it comes to pugs... I dont really see it too nescessary. I do understand that most do though, and if the majority wants it then I wont complain. But to be honest, I like that Blizzard prevented communication with random people in hearthstone, apart from those on your friendslist. It makes the game more enjoyable to play. I mean, have you ever played LoL? PUGS in that game is a ****** (excuse my french) nightmare, and has made me loose faith in humanity many a times.
The big difference however is that Hearthstone is 1v1, you don't really need communication for that, whereas here you do. Although there too, I sometimes miss it, and yes LoL is Toxic, well, I've heard some toxic behaviour via the mic as well.
There have been quite a few times I wanted to say something. Sometimes you have done quite a few runs with a really good group, you just wanna say, thanks for the runs! Instead of just leaving like that, it feels so rude to me. Then there is the case where you go through routine again to level up a promoted character, there are times I just wanted to help them, by giving some pointers, explaining a tactic or opening a treasure room. Fair enough I could use a mic myself, but since it was constantly on at first, I just didn't want that, also it's totally unfiltered, so you can actually say things you do not mean in the heat of the moment.
