Every game I play, text chat is only used to insult people. Never had a nice conversation with strangers on text chat.

At least I never heard insults on ME3 voice.

Lots of people use voice chat to insult others. It's not unique to text chat.

Why text chat? We have voice one....and to tell the truth, ppls r usually rude on text chats and somebody would have to look over the chat, i think text chat is not required

You know the voice chat on DAMP is weird. I always get bizarre sounds when people are connecting. I don't use it anymore, as a lot of people don't. And I tend to mute others anyway because some feel the need to blair rap or porn in the background.

I suppose one solution to the demand for text chat is to wait until people no longer play and therefore no longer have any need for text chat. Sometimes sitting on your butt doing nothing works, but when the accountants at EA ask questions about why so few chests of platinum sold I hope they have a good excuse.

If you actually take the time to read the previous 8 pages of this thread, you'll see that there are a number of reasons why we have been asking for text chat.

This really isn't much to ask. Chat commands are awful, and having no choice when it's too late to talk is just as bad. A lack of chat options is a great way to seclude players, and those are the players that are probably going to move on to something else.

Because it's a console game ported to PC, that's why just about any feature the game should have, it doesn't.

 

 

On the other hand, I kind of like no text chat. That way I don't have to endure the idiots who run in and get murdered while the rest of the team is in a treasure room calling us noobs and all kinds of other stuff.

Well. Not quite. Games are made in PC and then ported to consoles. You should call this "Made for Consoles" rather than "Ported to PC".
