there is a hotfix right here: http://forum.bioware...c-in-the-works/
Basically the devs forgot to equate the mesh quality to the shader quality and a simple launch option will fix it. What is wrong with PC gamers nowadays... playing on PC means we have more control than consoles and PC gamer use to be experts in finding these things.

We started getting lazy as soon as we didn't have to change our memory allocation for each game.

I still remember the gratification I felt every time I got a game to run on DOS. Still wouldn't go back to those days, even if my life depended on it.

OS/2 was a godsend. It let me set up memory allocation by application, so I no longer needed to manually switch between EMS and XMS depending on the game.I still remember the gratification I felt every time I got a game to run on DOS. Still wouldn't go back to those days, even if my life depended on it.

Getting the game to run is half the fun! I play some games on Linux on and off. Ah, OpenMW (Open Morrowind) download the code, compile it and get it to run, the experience is awesome!! ![]()

The visual downgrade isn't good, but I'd rather have it for now than continuing to have my mouse stop working at the War Table.
Ir was a good patch.
that happens to me to sometimes, but when mouse does not work then keyboard still does & next time i can use mouse again, but its still a problem

That happens to me as well I usually right click and it works again, happens with dialogue options too, my mouse just stops working.

for me mouse usually starts to work when i push left or right arrow once (unless its crash, its been week sins last crash) when it happens on region selection, & so far it has happened only there, new day's no crash, if anything game just shuts down, game crash has replaced with game shutdown, u know like when u push ALT + F4, & there are good days where nothing happens, sometimes its even a week

Here's fix for your issue:
Hey Everyone,
We're working on getting a hot fix out for the PC graphics issue as soon as possible. In the meantime, here is a workaround you can try:
To start, make sure the quality setting you choose is equal to the setting set for Mesh Quality inside Options>Graphics
You will need to add a new command line parameter. To do this:
Through Origin:
- Right click on the Dragon Age Inquisition title
- Go to game properties
- Type the command line parameter in the Command Line Properties box.
Through shortcut:
- Right Click Shortcut
- Go to Properties
- Under target go to the end of the field and type the command line parameter into the box
Once there, add the following command line parameter: -ShaderSystem.ShaderQualityLevel <quality setting>
In this instance, <quality setting> should be one of the following:
- Ultra
- High
- Medium
- Low
An example of how to set your quality to high would be: -ShaderSystem.ShaderQualityLevel High
Please note that once the hot fix is out, you will need to go back in and remove this workaround from your command line.
It’s also important to note that pre-patch 2, all users on PC were being forced to use the Ultra shader quality. This means that those of you playing on lower settings will notice a decrease in quality, particularly players using low or medium settings.
To achieve the same visuals as pre-patch, users on lower settings will need to change their settings to Ultra, which should likewise be used in conjunction with Ultra mesh quality. Mismatching the mesh and shader settings will result in other visual artifacts like overly shiny hair.
Please be aware that changing settings to Ultra may impact performance on some machines.
Sorry about any frustration this may have caused.
first i understood that explanation bit wrong way & & wrote a bit wrong at the Target, some1 explained it, it was a day or 2 after ur post, "C:\games\Dragon Age Inquisition\DragonAgeInquisition.exe" -ShaderSystem.ShaderQualityLevel High is the full correct line, i wrote: parameter -ShaderSystem...
BDW is there a command line to set all settings to high?, settings that have low medium high & ultra options, i would try how my PC handles that, med is & was my default game settings, mech i changed to high
