Found out the hardway that this weapon is bugged and can only have a rune added to it. I could live with not upgrading it but I was very disappointed when I looked at the item level and it was now level 15 and the DPS dropped by 15. Has anyone else ran into this with other weapons?
I would rather not repeat this mistake...

Hey I forgot to post about this I'm glad someone did I ran into this staff a while ago and the same thing happened when I restarted my game the staff had dropped stats and dps a bit and item level. And then this today I got a staff called death ward and the exact same thing happened it was different a cold staff this time and the dps went down to 46 I think. I don't even want to use the it now because my rares are better .. So that's two unique staffs the only ones I've ever got and both bugged out . they fix these staffs kind of a huge let down ..

Anyone else run into one of these or another bugged staff? Please post so they will fix and won't happen to others

Edaly99, they are aware of the bug, and I don't think it is even necessary to take the picture. These weapons that are reducing in level are meant to be high level, and if you have the item still, they should be able to restore them to normal once they decide to patch it.

 

You could also try contacting customer service to let them know that your account is affected by the bug, and they might be able to manually fix the items.

 

Just don't delete the items if you still want them in their original high level. They might yet be fixed.

Veramis, thank you very much. Unfortunately I did salvage the first staff but all is good I kept the second and I will contact them I am glad they are aware as this is a crappy glitch at total level 260 I was very happy to get a unique staff that I can use finally! and will be very happy if they fix
