Hello.

So I haven'{t played the game yet. But I've seen a cutscene where Bull says Tal va-f*cking-shoth.

I want to ask if this is the only case where the swearing is so strong or if there are other moments?

Now I am no anti swearing posh or st. like that so don't judge me. XD I am just interested dragon age changed that much... Cause the F word does not fit to the world of Thedas for me :/

Edit: Thank you everyone who answered my question. :) I got the picture, Now we're just arguing if the F word should be in the game, at all. Just so you know :D

There are a few moments I have found where swearing is abundant. Like Sera in the fade.

It's not an isolated incident, at least I don't think it is, but I didn't notice it too much. Characters do swear, of course, and one beautifully-titled quest is called "Well, Sh*t", but they're not edgily stuffing in the F-word in every sentence.

Of course, maybe I'm not the best to tell. I really don't notice this stuff unless characters start swearing to the point of hilarity.

EDIT: Oh, yeah! Sera's pretty potty-mouthed, in general. That's part of her character, though. She also interrupts a sagely mage with a burp. It is Shakespearian.

What does this mean? They've used literally everything else. Might as well get to it.

Blackwall says it, too.

Personally, I think the F word sounds cheesy in this setting.

Blackwall says it once to my knowledge, but you know, I consider it normal - or at least, not really weird - when adults and/or seasoned warriors swear. I don't really mind, and frankly, as someone who swears like a truck driver herself...I find it a little weirder when there is absolutely no profanity at all. Seems too sanitized/unrealistic to me if no one ever swears.

Mind you, I'm not saying there should be swearing in every single sentence...just the situation-appropriate, occasional usage of profanity.

I thought the moment in which Dorian used it was precise, pointed and immensely striking and effective.

Profanity, if used at the correct moments, can really add "oomph" to trying to give voice to complex emotional sentiment. It's just that if it gets over-used, it loses its power and effectiveness.

A few of the companions drop the F bomb on occasion, but it's not like a GTA game or anything, no worries. When it's used, the situation is fitting.

Oh god I hate the phrase "the F-bomb"
In Britain it is used every other word, Americans make it seem like it is a massive feckin deal to say it.

Iron Bull uses the F word again if Cullen, Cassandra, and Josephine caught him doing laundry with the inquisitor. Iron Bull and Sera need a swear jar. I swear we would have enough money to fund the entire Inquisition.

It's not really a big deal at all in America actually, it's just a term lol. It's said quite a bit here as well.

There are so many better swearwords in the english language.

Also I'm glad it's not the forced swearing and edgy tone in the witcher.

hmm... Well I don't mind S words and such... but I personally just don't like F word ,especially in this game. I did not mind in this game about a certain Witcher XD That was dark fantasy game...

I guess I have to live with that, but still... F word is nothing like good old bloody swears like Andraste's ass or fuddle-knuckless XD Or simply bollocks or shite XD

I know Varic says S***, in the desart when a High Dragon appers. Which I think is very fitting considering how it shows up.

I'm not really a fan of them suddenly adding more and more swear words. It makes the games not feel as connected as a result. I felt the same way when swearing was added to Mass Effect 2 after pretty much not existing at all in Mass Effect 1.

I find that when a game doesn't include any swearing it seems completely unrealistic. I've never went a single day in my life without hearing a swear word at least once.

His personal quest is titled "Well... ****."
