Fights don't seem as intense or interesting as the battles in Origins and DA2. I feel this is mainly because of the lack of combat music. Sure, dragon fights come with epic music, but what about fighting a group of soldiers or agressive/dangerous creatures? Those battles need music too (although slightly less epic compared to fighting dragons, ofcourse).

I hope this is something BioWare will address, as it's very noticeable. Every entry in the DA & ME series has seperate ambient & combat tracks and now suddenly it got removed? I just can't understand why.

.... I get combat music. :/ Not for fighting bears or anything, but it comes up sometimes when fighting things that are fierce or story relevant.

I'm not sure I'd like it every time I fight something, though. I've always hated that in RPG's.

Their blog specifically states they designed this game to have music apply only to certain situations and for ambience and atmosphere. They even stated that you aren't supposed to hear music that much in areas like the Storm Coast because the ambience is what sets the stage so to speak.

Music is working as intended and certainly isn't the norm, no.
