The title say it all. I don't have any issue with my DA:I on PC before Patch 2, except for occasional crash every 2 hours or so.

But now it's literally very buggy (5 crash in 15 minutes) & that shiny hair makes it impossible to play. Crash if any cutscene is initiated.

Please allow us to not install the patch 2, but get the Patch 1 from Day 1.

Yes please. I'm okay with waiting a bit for the patch. But my game was playing way better BEFORE I got Patch 2. I'll gladly uninstall it and wait for it to be properly implemented. Just... let us do that.

Agreed, there are already players trying to reinstall the game (what are you guys - guys who are reinstalling the game - thinking btw?! Origin will just update it to the latest version when you install)

I was in my game, playing happily on the previous patch, when I noticed all the rage/bugs about this patch on the forums that I infrequently visit while playing. I thought "thank god I haven't quit so I'd have to update. I'll just not quit my game and I'll be able to avoid this mess".Then my game crashed. I stopped the auto-update, pushed play, and was told "you won't be able to play this game until after you've updated the game". What the actual f***?!

Don't tell me I can't play a game I own that's installed and fully functional until after you've forcefully broken it.

Please, just let me push play. That's all I want to be able to do. Please... don't make me break my game.

The ability to roll back patches should be standard functionality, especially when your quality control is as lacking as EA's.

I would try to start a new game - make a new clean save created by the new *.exe.

See how it turns out?

If they're installing from disc and disable automatic updating they might be alright.

I had uninstall & re-install the game, then try to play without any patch (it's possible to ask origin to do automatic update). The problem is that I installed the Day 1 released Patch back in November already so without this Day 1 patch, I can't play my saves.

Guys try this:

I think I found a possible way to uninstall the patch

I found this post on Tumblr. When I get the chance I'll try it myself, but for everyone else seeking a solution here you go. Really hope this works, tell me if anyone gets any positive results.

Spoiler

Guys if you havent installed the patch yet you can play the game by setting origin to offline then playing via a shortcut straight to the .exe in your origin games/dragon age inqusition folder. If you've already patched the game you could try uninstalling then reinstalling with origin offline, good luck.

Testing a patch before the release would mean to spend more time on it and... time is money^^

Luckily I finished the 1st playthrough before this crap came out. Will not touch this instable piece of cake before it's fixed. I also miss the times when users were in the position to decide if they wanted to install a patch or not. I really don't care for the MP part of DAI.

THEY BROKE MY PERFECT GAME! I cannot even navigate the main menu there is so much hanging. It took 20 minutes to select freaking graphics. Why is there not a hot fix yet? The patch has been out all day. WTF happened

I did that, the problem was that when I bought the game it was like 3 days after release & I installed the Day 1 Patch. If I turned off Origin & disable automatic update I cannot open my save files because they all contain items from Day 1 Patch.

I'm trying Jackal's solution right now

Thank you!

Just went offline, made a shortcut, added the '-GameTime.MaxSimFps 60 -GameTime.ForceSimRate 60+' for non-shitty framerates during scenes and it launched no problem.

Guys try this:

I do not see previous versions :(

I regret updating this Game. Clicked yes without hesitation... "of course I want a patch that fixes Bugs (that I didnt encounter) and add functions (that I dont use)"... Whats the worst that could happen?

I bought a hardcopy on Release, so can I just reinstall and be fine, or will the game crush my saves?

The ability to roll back patches should be standard functionality

Name any game that supports this or content distribution system that supports this (not counting things like aptitude because that's like expecting Windows to support symbolic links)

This debacle shows why it should be supported. The ability to uninstall and reinstall up to the patch number you want (rather than the one you are forced to have) would amount to the same thing, but of course that's no longer an option because reasons.

One of which is it's costly to store old versions for people "Just in case"

Sounds bad but thank god others are having issues.  I have serious npc pop ins now, can't change my frame rate anymore and seem to have dialogue trouble that i didn't before.  Basically everything this patch promised has done the opposite on my game lol.  Mine used to only crash while using Mantle but i seem to be getting better performance without it.  Think i'll wait for the next patch because i'm not enjoying it now

don't blindly install patches for single player games if your game is already working fine.

I just want to add my game was running fine until this patch. Now it's completely unplayable.

Game freezes every 10-20 seconds for a period of 3 seconds or more. Absolutely ridiculous. Is this what AAA titles are about these days? Every major release I've bought this year has been a mess of fuckups and just horrible Q&A (I'm looking at you Assassin's Creed Unity)

I love games and I love Bioware games (even after the ME3 ending. Yes I am one of those people) but what the hell....it's 2014 the quality of our games should improve not degrade.
