In short, prior to patch 2 there was a fairly easy (with some skill and a bit of practice) exploit that allowed the Arcane Warrior to use his instant spells (such as fade cloak and fade step) for free with no cooldown. This could be repeated every time you used Spirit Blade.
What that meant was, If you knew how to do it, your Arcane Warrior was literally invulnerable. And, you were dropping out 1000% damage fade cloak nukes every time you swung your sword. The only drawback to this was how much screen shaking your damage spells would do.
AFAIK there is / was no video of a competent, patch 1 arcane warrior abusing this exploit in multiplayer... So, I can't point you to a video of it working. And, I don't frequent reddit or any other gaming community boards so I'm not sure if any others were already aware of this exploit. But, I've been into the top teens in the world leaderboard mainly from using this technique and I think if others were doing it I would probably have never gotten so high on the leaderboard. It allowed me to run perilous at level 4-5 when I might have otherwise needed to run Threatening or even Routine. But, all of that is finished with now and I'm absolutely thrilled that Bioware has patched this bug, firstly because I could never resist the temptation to abuse it and secondly because Bioware was able to quickly identify this bug and patch it before all the scrubs started using it.
Anyways, now that it has been patched out we can finally discuss it. I decided to share this info with everyone because there are a lot of people here braying for a nerf who were probably ignorant of what gave the AW such an edge. The Arcane Warrior just lost his secret weapon, today. In my opinion, as of patch 2, AW is still awesome and you could still probably make a proper case for nerfing it but he's no longer "magic". You definitely won't see as many hopeless players face rolling the controls and accidentally getting impossibly good results.
