I was thinking about this the other day, wondering what my Inquisitor would put on the bottom of his banners if push came to shove.

 

Probably "Ventum Ad Supremum Est", for that added Tevinter crossover appeal... assuming Latin and Greek both exist in Tevinter in equal measure, of course.

 

t/n: That phrase translates from Latin as "It has come to an end/its resolution." My Trevelyan's a peacenik almost to a fault, so now that he's finally got Thedas almost completely under his thumb through diplomatic means and alliances he wants everyone to be totally clear he isn't tolerating another major flare-up that'll cost lives meaninglessly.

 

The Latin line itself is spoken by Jupiter/Zeus near the end of Virgil's Aeneid. Great poem, read it if you haven't already.

 

So yeah, you all have any thoughts on what your slogans/mottoes would be?

Another less elaborate option is how I imagine my Inquisitor feels about his influence in over Thedas in general by the end of the main quest:

She took the help of anyone and everyone who wanted to join up or ally with the Inquisition. Weird Elven apostate? Stray Tevinter magister? Jaded Ben-Hassrath? Sure, join the Inquisition today! Snooty First Enchanter? Slightly crazed elf? Some kind of murder spirit? You're welcome, pull up a chair! Not to mention the rebel mages, the Grey Wardens, Morrigan and dozens of people from various war table missions. Recruited every agent she met, too.

 

Also "what you did doesn't matter, what you do means everything." I like to think she said that one to Blackwall a lot after, y'know, the thing. Not to mention Leliana and Cullen and Iron Bull and Varric. She was a lot more focussed on closing the !@#$ing HOLE IN THE SKY than on judging anyone's past actions.

You know, since Cassandra's motivation and the inquisition in general has nothing to do with faith ("we can't have these idiots execute the only guy able to close rifts, and this ancient writ will let us do it") nor the civil war really (I suppose templars and mages both getting killed by inquisition forces is so much better than killing each other)
