So on my Inquisitor, I have Twin Fangs and it's upgrade. I'm currently wearing both the 30% damage bonus ring for Twin Fangs as well as a 5% crit chance ring. I just picked up a purple 20% crit damage bonus ring, and am wondering which ring combo I should wear.

Relevant characters stats (without any rings equipped):

Crit chance: 20% (56% when Flanking due to Sneak Attack)

Crit damage bonus: 90%

So if I'm doing the math right:

Crit Chance + Crit Damage Rings:

Standard Attack: Twin Fangs + Flanking + Stealth = 200% + 200% + 50% = 450% Weapon Damage (WD)

Critical Attack: Twin Fangs + Flanking + Stealth + (Critical Damage + Damage Ring) = 200% + 200% + 50% + (450% * 110%) = 945% WD

Average Damage: Crit Attack * (Crit Chance + Chance Ring) + Standard Attack * (100% - (Crit Chance + Chance Ring) = (945% * 61%) + (450% * 39%) = 774% WD

Crit Chance + Ability Damage Rings:
Standard Attack: (Twin Fangs * Damage Ring) + Flanking + Stealth = 266% + 200% + 50% = 510% WD
Critical Attack: (Twin Fangs * Damage Ring) + Flanking + Stealth + Critical Damage = 266% + 200% + 50% + (510% * 90%) = 969% WD
Average Damage: Crit Attack * (Crit Chance + Chance Ring) + Standard Attack * (100% - (Crit Chance + Chance Ring) = (969% * 61%) + (510% * 39%) = 815% WD

Ability Damage + Crit Damage Rings:
Standard Attack: (Twin Fangs * Damage Ring) + Flanking + Stealth = 266% + 200% + 50% = 510% Weapon Damage (WD)
Critical Attack: (Twin Fangs * Damage Ring) + Flanking + Stealth + (Critical Damage + Damage Ring) = 266% + 200% + 50% + (510% * 110%) = 1071% WD
Average Damage: Crit Attack * Crit Chance + Standard Attack * (100% - Crit Chance) = (1071% * 59%) + (510% * 41%) = 824% WD

So it looks like Ability Damage Ring + Crit Damage Ring is the winner from a theorycrafting perspective, but I just want to make sure I havn't overlooked or miscalculated anything.

Would be interested to know if you were able to wear 2x 30% Twin Fangs damage bonus rings (for +60% damage) and if the damage would stack, since the 20% Critical damage (obviously) requires a critical hit to come into play...

No, it's been confirmed elsewhere that identical items of all types do not stack. Note, this applies to stuff like Crit Chance + rings and Masterwork bonuses too.

e.g. 5% crit chance ring + 5% crit chance ring = 5% crit chance, because they don't stack but 5% crit chance ring + 10% crit chance ring = 15% because the items aren't identical

I'm confused - I thought Sneak Attack just doubled your regular crit chance, but yours more than doubles it! Weird.

Uhh, looks like you have the best of it mathematically. However, twin fangs, while a very powerful attack indeed, is not the best use of your ring. It does 500 damage total, but the ring only seems to apply to the base damage, not the bonus damages, so you only get 66% out of it. Since you're hitting twice, that's 132%, which is only okay.

On Spinning Blades, however, you can hit 9 hits, and the 33% there ends up being 25% damage, turning each hit from 75% to 100%. 25*9 = 225% damage, and extra hits mean more chances for crits to get stamina regen on (if you have that skill), and more chance to activate masterwork weapon powers.

The real meat is on Hidden Blades. Each hit there does 300, so the additional 33% is about 100% of your weapon damage added on. Six hits of that is an extra 600% weapon damage! If you use the "attack from stealth" assassin tree effect, each one of this hits will crit. That's where I would put my rings, anyway.
