Dear Maker! D:
I changed the properties in a shortcut for the 30fps cap removal and then added the fix to Origin. Now I have both the 30 cap removal and fix for patch 2. Lol, sounds funny. A fix for a patch they put out to fix bugs. Also, to make it official, confirmed working.
Much appreciated. Looks like I need to move **** around and such to get it working.
I would assume it does but only one way to find out, those who have tried the workaround thus far (admittedly a small number so far) have reported positive results.
The facial textures are close to what they were before, scars and all. And the shiny hair is gone. However, some of the armor / clothing color and texture changes remain. I think we'll have to wait for the hotfix to be sure they've fixed the whole problem.
How about the grass? For my main issue was the grass ![]()
I'm still reinstalling... disk 3 >.<

LOL !!
I am about to start the game, I really hope my herald of andraste doesn't get old either!
well... I didn't get old but... WHAT HAPPENED TO MY HAIR ?!?! it was black I promise! how can I fix it ?!

*facepalm*
Read my OP, where I have quoted Conal Pierse from Bioware who has already offered us a workaround for this issue.

I know, it looked like dumb, but my post was elsewhere, some admin moved it here :-)
Trying the hotfix, thanks!
What? They moved your post to my thread? lol

You do realize the Origins will start to auto update unless you switch the feature off?

Yes but I have no way to roll back the patch as I did not have system restore enabled. So I'm stuck with patch 2 until the next version. This workaround will be the only possible option for me.
It's appreciated, but what if you already have a command line to remove the soft 30fps cap?
Should work by just adding a space
make sure each command starts with a -

Grass is back to normal
THANK YOU!
AND THANK THE MAKER... *phew*
AND THANK YOU CONAL!!!!
Now I can go back to whining about PC controls! ![]()
Hopefully it'll solve my strange loading bug too
I can't even play with my characters anymore... I mean I can't look at them with those stupid and EXTREME UNNECESSARY SHINY HAIR THAT NO ONE ON EARTH HAS ASKED FOR. Now my female dwarf got her freckles replaced with and elder skin.
I simply.. Can't look at them. Even If i try to make a new character all the skins are over scars and each race have at least 2 duplicated skins.
Are people just being randomly thrown into this thread now?
First Jeansen and now you... lol

The stress on your inquisitor made her age very fast:). Also its a very unique look and I hope not photoshop done.

Nah its the only one devs linked. had to throw my rage somewere.
I think Im gonna punch the guy that had the idea "Shiny is the new sexy" in BWs dev studio.
The fix instructions aren't entirely helpful. Firstly, when you right click the game in Origin the only properties option is Game Properties, so I assume that's the one to click. Then, there is no command line properties box, only command line argument. I assume this is the correct box? The instructions here seem as if they are referring to an entirely different program...
The patch messed mine up as well. Before it, I was having a few minor issues that only reared their heads occasionally, but now the game stutters and freezes every few seconds, making it unplayable (and it's even worse on the menus than it is when actually playing). Is anyone else experiencing this? I tried a system restore to a point I had earlier today, but that didn't end up fixing the issue. And the fix posted above did nothing. I'm almost tempted to delete the patch folder and see what happens but I have strong suspicion that's a terrible idea.
Just tested it for myself after reinstalling, confirmed working, hell it's like I just got a graphics update now, my loading bug has also been fixed.

Did you change the ingame mesh quality to the same as what you set the shaderquality as?
Thank you, this works great.
Another new thing I see on the move, but I changed some graphical options, anyone with any idea of why these shadow lines?
