In the Keep you can specify choices for Origins and Awakening. Cool. So my Dalish Warden dies killing the Archdemon. Awesome! Now to set that my Awakening Warden was a dwarf... oh, wait, what's this? Nothing to specify that my DEAD Hero of Ferelden is obviously NOT the Ferelden Warden-Commander? This was a problem in importing from Origins to Awakening that if you carried over a Ultimate Sacrifice save your dead warden was alive. You could only create a Orlesian Warden if you didn't import, which always bugged me.

However that fact that the keeps doesn't even let you say whether or not a new Warden was sent to Ferelden regardless of the Hero of Ferelden's status is really bad. Can this please be addressed? I really want to carry the history of my THREE protagonists into DA:I.

This has been mentioned several times before and if your Warden died, the Orlesian warden did the events of the post game DLC. The only issue is that we can't pick the race gender or class of that warden (but in a sense it doesn't matter). This would require them to add in six more default heroes into the Keep and would probably be the most complex thing they could add to the keep so it's going to take time.

DA:I doesn't really need this clarified because if the Warden is dead, the orleasian warden is never mentioned.

If it's ever important in a future DA game they'll add it to the Keep and you'll be able to fix your world state then.

Then could that info be stickied somewhere then? Or mentioned in the keep, as a note? And if the Keep assumes that dead Warden Post game DLC is Orlesian Warden, then it should lock out certain choices. Like the Warden going with Morrigan. And possibly Oghren's Awakening side-quest.

The Keep doesn't allow you to select going through the eluvian with Morrigan if your Warden is dead and Oghren's quest can be completed with the Orlesian warden.

This information is mentioned in the common issues and questions thread.

Ok, so maybe my forum search wasn't as thorough as I thought. However this is more than a "common issue" and is something that effects the story, or at least my perception of it. A mention IN the keep of this would be nice.

And they are working on adding it but it isn't going to be done overnight and is probably not at the top of their priority list (DAI choices probably are).

I'm really hoping it gets added in soon.

I'm trying to perfectly recreate my first/blind play through, which was YEARS ago. Problem is, my first play through was without any DLC, lost my save, then eventually did the DLC on a new system with an Orlesian Warden to see what I missed. I would be very happy to have the Keep reflect this by showing that the Orlesian came around despite the fact that my original Warden WAS in fact still alive, as Alistair made the sacrifice. If they end up forcing me to choose the Warden if he didn't die, I understand, but it'd be really cool to think that with this "lost save" the Warden just went off and was busy with other things during these events.
