As far as I am aware Josephine doesn't even have one sex scene, a start would be good.

Cassandra showed a brief shot of breast in the after-sex scene but I didn't see any specific sex scene in my plathrough. After that, the most I got was a fade-to-black before a kiss. Funny really. Sera turns the air blue and that's perfectly acceptable but you can't even show a couple kissing.

I'm romancing CASS and that's all I'll ever get? No one has hormones anymore? An M+ rating? Is it because I heard CASS say she does not wear underpants? I was so looking forward to some skin.

I may go back to DA:O for the naughties.

Got a better idea.  Watch a porno and get it out of your system or better yet find a sex simulator.   Just because the game is labeled adult doesn't mean it should be for perverted interests only.   As I'm sure this will somehow offend you,  I eagerly look forward to your reply.

Uh no...? I'm happy with what they have. I'm no prude but don't want to have my game full of simulated sex....cuz...that's wierd? They aren't real people...

Also Josephine's doesn't have a sex scene because it doesn't fit her character. There's no reason to undermine how a character was written so you can get your jollies off to digital nude chicks.

I don't really get the deal with the sex scenes. They've never been done that well in the past. The ones in DA: Origins were embarassingly terrible: all awkwardly animated with characters in their underwear and half the time the models barely (or not even at all) actually touching each other. Mass Effect's were also pretty bad. I liked the way it got done in DA 2 with a fade to black honestly. I haven't gotten any scenes like that in Inquisition; I actually don't think the romance I'm doing has any sex scenes.

In all honesty, I enjoy sex scenes on ocassion (cheesy romance novels and all that. LOL), but I don't feel that I'm lacking if a romance doesn't culminate in a sex scene. As long as I feel that my characters got enough warm, fuzzy times and chances to interact, I'm good.

Wow. First people were whining about the awkward wooden pixel sex in the first game. Now you're complaining that there isn't any awkward wooden pixel sex. I don't mind the fade to blacks because I'd rather not have porn in my story RPGs. That, and the animations, while improved, still aren't exactly Assassin's Creed: Unity. It's easier to see a character fade to black or have romantic scenes strategically censored than watching awkwardly animated lips mashing together.

I just want good romance arcs that are part of the main plot. Favoritism towards certain characters can be annoying, but I went with Cassandra because early portions of the game seemed to show her as a major character, but after Skyhold she feels less significant.

I take it you're not very far into Skyhold?  She becomes rather significant to the events of the game, at least in my opinion.  Her and Leliana both.

I'm for more any romantic content.  I liked that you could "retire to the tent" any time you wanted to in DA:O.

Actually either have sex scenes or don't have them at all. The current fade-to-black is a bit awkward.
Don't we have sex scenes in movies? That amount is about right.

And yes, I know that the NPCs aren't people. So do you, and you still start conversations with them, care about what they do in a cutscene, etc. but when it comes to sex, all kinds of taboo and awkwardness and insecurities and " hey pervert!" arise.

If no one finds any of them attractive or interesting or in any way resembling real people, the devs could have made them rocks. So much easier, and no cost for voice-acting.

I just want the option to hug that I was promised.

So many times I've wanted to hug Dorian now. Darnit.

But yeah, after the first sex scene, you should be able to entice them into some bed romping once in a while like you could in DAO. Even if its just a quick awkward scene that fades to black like the current kissing scene. :P

Agree!
I don't wanna watch a "porno" between my Lavellan and her Blackwall, ahaha, but something romantic, maybe a kiss or a hug in the barn in front of the fire, after their "reunion" would be really appreciated... at least, in my opinion, "have sex" should be the "beginning" of a love story and not the "end" xD

Agreed.

I'm on my 1st playthrough and I swept Cassandra off her feet as she asked. (lol)

I was, actually, impressed by the "non-censure" on that part, even if it's light, Bio is getting darey.

But still, now I can only make out with her.

It would be nice to have more, it would feel more natural.

She could be, for example, waiting for you on your quarters with a surprise.

Y'know?

Bioware.

Do no tempt modders to mod your game.

You know what happened to Origins.

The female Inquisitor, Cassandra, Sera and Dorian all show some skin. A couple of additional romantic partners are unclothed, but obscured by someone blocking their naughty bits. Strangely, a pair of romances have no real payoff in this regard, bummer for those who wasted their time expecting more. Bioware passed on really knocking it out of the park when they didn't include an actual "hung like a bull" reveal?

Honestly, I wouldn't mind a wee bit more options in-game when it comes to romance, even if it's just the option for your inquisitor to hug their LIs whenever they want. Of course, I'd be lying if I said I didn't want to see more of Dorian's butt too.

I don't think going back to Origin's 'sex in underpants' way of doing things is going to work. It was poorly implemented. I also understand that Bioware don't want to go down the Witcher 2 route of adult scenes. DA2 handled it best with the fade to black from a middle ground perspective. The problem is, and the way I interpret the original question is that if you're going to have a romance, Inquisition handle's romance pretty badly. You go through all the trouble of romancing your chosen companion, get an after-sex scene and then nothing. The entire thing is dropped as if it never existed. Origins had this nailed down because the was frequent reference to your romance in both party chatter and companion dialogue. It felt like you where in a relationship with someone. You never get that feeling in Inquisition.

What did Bioware call it?.. ahh..yes,  ".. mature romance.."...
