[insert comment about desire demon love interest and or sex scene here]

You must have missed the numerous threads asking for desire demons to be brought back.

[that bit comparing ME and DA2 - sorry my ****** stupid iPad's copy and paste is broken again]

Agreed - it's a terrible idea to show some boobs and fade to black, better show some boobs and fade to black.

Yes - what I want is not so much sex scenes, but more ... well, passion. And more character development than I got in my run-through with Trevalyen and Cullen.

An after-sex scene with Cullen mentioning nightmares ... then nothing. Wha? Come ON, you put Chekov's gun on the wall in Act 1 (well, Act 2, actually), then ignored it. Develop the damn nightmares, Bioware! You did so well with the rest of the story.

Lavellen is romancing Solas ATM, and .. well. I keep popping in to talk to him and getting only a greeting. At least Cullen would kiss me on the battlements. If all he does after we get to full-on making out (or sex!) is say 'hello' (or even 'lethallen'), I'm going to be peeved.

I don't think going back to Origin's 'sex in underpants' way of doing things is going to work. It was poorly implemented. I also understand that Bioware don't want to go down the Witcher 2 route of adult scenes. DA2 handled it best with the fade to black from a middle ground perspective. The problem is, and the way I interpret the original question is that if you're going to have a romance, Inquisition handle's romance pretty badly. You go through all the trouble of romancing your chosen companion, get an after-sex scene and then nothing. The entire thing is dropped as if it never existed. Origins had this nailed down because the was frequent reference to your romance in both party chatter and companion dialogue. It felt like you where in a relationship with someone. You never get that feeling in Inquisition.

So much this.

Wish i could finish romancing Josephine on my Male Quanri but the last quest to confront the guy in Val Royeaux is bugged. I go there and it never goes to the cutscene. Tried it today after the patch and still no cut scene. Been stuck on this part and tried everything to get it to trigger.

Uh no...? I'm happy with what they have. I'm no prude but don't want to have my game full of simulated sex....cuz...that's wierd? They aren't real people...

Also Josephine's doesn't have a sex scene because it doesn't fit her character. There's no reason to undermine how a character was written so you can get your jollies off to digital nude chicks.

Except it shows Josephine and the Inquisitor going to bed together and then waking up and watching the sun-rise together...

Josephine also admits she slept with people to get their secrets when she was a bard, so she's hardly a prude.

You are spot on. For me it is not really about the number of sex scenes but creating the illusion that your character is in a relationship with someone. The party comments and references to your romance from Wynne or Leliana, for example, helped a lot in DAO.

I agree. It bothers me that in Origin I could do more than kiss my companions but in Inquisition you can smooch it up all you want but can't invite them into your chamber. What was the point of having that giant room if it was never used? I don't necessairly need more animations, but an option to invite your LI to bed and then it fades to black would have made sense. Especially since I delayed progressing the story which triggers the romance scenes, not the number of hours played.

There is this thing called imagination. Use that if you want to see anything more graphic between your character and LI. That or simply read Fanfiction..or if your so desperate for something visual, take up drawing and do it yourself.

The bitching between Leliana and Morrigan if you romanced both to a certain point was funny as well as they both competed for your interests.

Or Alistair being jealous of Zevran.

In DAI I've only gotten a remark from Leliana at the War Table (my LI is Cullen) and another from Dorian. I expected some witty remark from Varric ;)

Cass and Bull actually get along really well too, from the other banter I've gotten.  Dorian, Bull and Cass together are not only really funny, but they have a good chemistry.   Oh and from a gameplay standpoint, if you go Barrier/Necro/element of your choice for Dorian (frost in my case,) Reaver for Bull and Templar for Cass, they are a pretty damned powerful team.

Perhaps BioWare should just release some official Dragon Age-themed porn. AND MAKE IT ALL CANON.

I don't know. You do manage to get a scene with your LI both at the end of Whicked Hearts and the end of Adamant Fortress. But still would like a little more interaction with your LI at times.

I did enjoy how Mother Giselle's only concern about my relationship with Dorian was that he was Tevinter. And Sera does mention that she knows your tapping that. But otherwise, I was waiting or looking forward to comments about my relationship with the others...and yet nothing. Oh well...

I'll just go sit on a hill and listen to Dorian critique my soldier's uniforms.

I just want the option to hug that I was promised.

So many times I've wanted to hug Dorian now. Darnit.

But yeah, after the first sex scene, you should be able to entice them into some bed romping once in a while like you could in DAO. Even if its just a quick awkward scene that fades to black like the current kissing scene. :P

Is the hugging bugged with all the characters? I'm romancing Solas and haven't had any option to hug either. Are all characters supposed to be able to do that?

Yeah, Solas is just like, "Hello" now. It honestly feels like there should be more dialogue options for him. I've had a ton of dialogue with Cullen, and my character isn't even romancing him. Apparently, Solas just wants to be all stand-offish now. LOL

I do with that other characters had banter related to your romances or some kind of acknowledgment. All I've gotten so far is a dirty (and hilarious) comment from Sera during a dialogue with her in the tavern.

I think it was little things like this that made Origins feel like a proper Role Playing Game. Inquisition is much more the action genre. It's Medieval Battlefield, ignoring a lot of the role playing elements in favour of fast paced action with a main plot that feels rushed. If ever a game could have benefited from more development time, Inquisition is it. I think Bioware tried to do too much in DA:I and left too much incomplete as a result of running out of time.

Umm, I was able to invite Cassandra up to the Inquisitor's chambers.

Just wait a few weeks or months. I'm sure those SFM-videos and Gifs will show up on "Rule 34".
