Wow. First people were whining about the awkward wooden pixel sex in the first game. Now you're complaining that there isn't any awkward wooden pixel sex. I don't mind the fade to blacks because I'd rather not have porn in my story RPGs. That, and the animations, while improved, still aren't exactly Assassin's Creed: Unity. It's easier to see a character fade to black or have romantic scenes strategically censored than watching awkwardly animated lips mashing together.

"We want nudity!"

*nudity is put into DAI*

"Not enough! MOAR nudity!"

*sigh*

;)

You are spot on. For me it is not really about the number of sex scenes but creating the illusion that your character is in a relationship with someone. The party comments and references to your romance from Wynne or Leliana, for example, helped a lot in DAO.

Now that you mentioned it.. I remember that... yes it does  help...

I agree. It bothers me that in Origin I could do more than kiss my companions but in Inquisition you can smooch it up all you want but can't invite them into your chamber. What was the point of having that giant room if it was never used? I don't necessairly need more animations, but an option to invite your LI to bed and then it fades to black would have made sense. Especially since I delayed progressing the story which triggers the romance scenes, not the number of hours played.

Hope for more content from Bio..

The bitching between Leliana and Morrigan if you romanced both to a certain point was funny as well as they both competed for your interests.

Now wasn't that funny? It was triggered somewhere in the Korkari Wilds, yes?

Which is interesting because she's entirely ok with your arranged marriage to Anora as a male warden. So she does share, but only for political gain. ;-)

Can't with Cassandra's.  There's a dialogue option.

To be fair, she knew she would be out of the picture when such an arranged marriage would come to fruition.

It's been a BioWare tradition to only have one sex scene the first time and then no more after that.

Are you doubting tradition?!

Umm, I was able to invite Cassandra up to the Inquisitor's chambers.

I suppose it depends who you romance. In the Cullen romance he only comes into your room at the finale to look over the balcony. Josephine came in once to gossip. Otherwise there weren't any scenes in that giant space in my play through.

Except it shows Josephine and the Inquisitor going to bed together and then waking up and watching the sun-rise together...

Josephine also admits she slept with people to get their secrets when she was a bard, so she's hardly a prude.

No, it shows them going up to the room and then watching the sunrise. Considering that Skyhold was several hours away from where the final fight happened, and it was night when it happened, the sunrise could literally be right after. If you want to think they do, go ahead. But it doesn't show anything like that.

As for the second part, she says no such thing. Don't make stuff up.

Bull comes into Quizzy's room several times. All for heavily implied sex.

Sex scenes once in a while can be interesting, but too much is just cringe-worthy.

I want my sex scenes from DAO back. Awkward, cringy, underwear-clad dry-humping that lasts 10 minutes, on screen, with soft lighting and dramatic music.

But seriously, it's all head-canon anyway. In my mind, when the Inquisitor and Josephine sneak out to the garden for a makeout, they have a quickie in the bushes. Whatever. You don't need to see everything on screen. We never see anyone use the bathroom, either, but we can assume it's happening anyway.

Its not so much the sex scenes for me, its just wanting the relationship to feel a little bit more there. One sex scene, and after that its back to as if the scene never happened. It should open up the option to have another romp, like a normal intimate relationship at that point would have.

I don't know...................just give me a hug option and I'll be happy. xD

*huggy people of the world unite!*

I agree, you don't need to see everything (sometimes you do, it depends upon the context) but shouldn't the game acknowledge that you're in a relationship? The direct dialogue suggests that it's more than a one night stand but the game doesn't recognise that with associated dialogue and party banter or with additional scenes (not necessarily sex scenes) that reinforce the idea that you're actually in a 'romance'. Origins did. There was gossip with Alistair, party banter between a variety of different characters, polite enquiries from Wynne and sarcastic comments from Shale (if you had the DLC). None of that exists in Inquisition as far as I saw on my first playthrough.

One other thing. I seem to remember reading from Bioware that sex scenes would be in such a manner that the act was viewed (to an extent) but bits where tastefully out of sight. The only thing I saw with my 'sex scene' with Cassandra was a pointless and gratuitous shot of one of her breasts as she turns over. People aren't after digital porn here, it's a role playing game, they simply want to role play a romance.

Now i didnt read thru all the comments but I agree there needs to be more not less.

My problem with the previous games was that sex seemed like a side quest. Get enough points and they will sleep with you. After it was done you could basically ignore them and never talk to them again if you wanted. Romance over.

Why is it that sex is the end all be all of the relationship? Its like they had 13 year olds writing this part of the game.

Ya have sex in there, even if its a repeated scene from the first time you had it, or a stripped down version on the second and consecutive romps that takes less time.

But dont end it there. Have you and your love interest just spending time together doing things.

I so wanted to have more cutscenes in origins of just hanging out by the fire, eating together, joking around etc.

Why does sex have to basically end the romance part of the game?

And to those who are against it calling people who want more prervs and the like I say this, if your going to have a game where you can romance a character, care about a character, have a relationship with a character, then sex is part of that. Nobody is asking for some hentai game action where you control what they do or pull out medieval "toys" for them to play with...lol. We just want to continue that interaction beyond just, "okay we had sex now i can ignore you."

There was nothing with Dorian. We got to see his back and butt, then he sat down, we had a heartfelt conversation that made me want to hug him, then they kissed. Done.

Have yet to see the other relationships, as I don't want to spoil myself. Got a character for each character I want to romance.

Still...just something more...like a new interaction unlocked afterward, to feel like we passed home base. Its like...we ran to home base, had our doubts, then walked back to second base and sat down.

And yeah, I ran to everyone afterward expecting some banter. Only two people mentioned anything. Sera when questioned for her opinion on Dorian and Mother Giselle (who doesn't seem to like Tevinter booty. No idea why.)

I'm just glad you do get some romantic conversation with them after Adamant and Wicked Eyes. -_-  Cause otherwise, it was just a side quest and not a defining moment in my character's life. Even DA2 had some fun banter after you tapped that.

Having sex is not a requirement for having a romantic relationship with someone. Just saying.

Some of Skyrim Nexus top mods(Leaving out ENB and various Graphics overhauls and items):

Dimonized99 Skin Texture(Nude mesh better skins)

CBBE(Same nude mesh better skins big butt/boobs)

Animated Prostitution (Animated Sex Mod)

Various Better Companions(Collectively have more downloads than any other mods)

Some of Dragon Age's top mods(excluding items)

Better Sex(Nude mod/enhanced sex mod/extended scenes)

Various Companion mods(changes the looks of companions, top ones being Leliana, Morrigan and Isabella)

Each of those mods have millions of unique downloads. There is a reason people download these mods, be it because they want virtual porn, or because they are unhappy with the current offerings the base game provides.

I can guarantee there are far more people that play these games that use those mods and want those mods than there are of those who don't.

Most people don't play RPG/MMORPG just to beat the game and get to the endgame. They play them for the stories, the romances, the companions and the world they can immerse themselves in. How they play it is no one's business but their own, and I firmly believe that if Bioware won't satisfy these kinds of interest because they are afraid of the backlash then they need to release a devkit so the fans can do it themselves.

Seriously Bioware I know Frostbite3 is pretty, but so is Unreal4(or whatever number it is now) so next game please use Unreal or something other that EA's frostbite. Or the very least take the amount these mods have been downloaded into account and how many threads on these topics pop up and know what you're fans really want.

I think there's enough sex scenes in the game already. Lets not turn this game into a teenage boy's paradise.
