Look. I am a healthy young woman of age 27, and I'll right now admit I want more after the relationship then the 'Yay, you reached the sex sort-of scene. Here's an achievement, and lets never speak of this again.' If wanting to immerse myself in the fantasy world, my character, and their relationships makes me a pervert...so be it.

And that's not counting people like asexuals or people who for whatever reason can't have sex who can be in a loving relationship their entire lives with their partner without ever having sex.

I never said it should be removed. I just replied to someone implying it has to be a part of a relationship that it does not.
That said, I am glad they did that with Josephine's romance, leaving the level of physical intimacy ambiguous so that players can imagine the kind of relationship they want rather than stating one way or the other whether they do or do not have sexual intercourse.

Some people for religious reasons or moral reasons want to wait to have sex till they get married. Personally i think its stupid, you learn alot about a person when having sex, but thats besides the point. Yes they chose to hold off on sex, thats fine but they didnt go without. They just waited. And after they actually had sex Im sure they didnt say, you know what, we did that it was fun but lets not do that again. No of course not. They had you right. lol.

Again, having sex is not vital to a happy relationship. There are millions, literally millions, who don't have sex for a variety of reasons and they don't have any lesser of a relationship.

The relationships in this game feels even more stripped down then any past bioware game I've played to date. Mature indeed. I feel like I was stood up. 
Now to wait for the inevitable break up through texting.

I agree with that entirely. That's one reason I liked DA2's romance system since they have sex in Act 2 of the game, leaving the rest of Act 2 and all of Act 3 about the relationship beyond that night. Another example is the Citadel DLC for Mass Effect 3 where you have a date with the LI.

DA2 might have had a lot of flaws...but the romance was great. I'm more attached to my Hawke and Fenris then even my DAO couple.
I guess I shouldn't be surprised though. Everything in DAI so far outside of the main story gameplay feels........shallow. Like they went for quantity instead of quality. The side quests are empty, instead of drawing you into the characters or world, and the romances feel rushed, short, and like the climax was literally the sex scene (and booby flashes for the guys).

I agree, i think it was ME 2 but im not sure but one of the games had your love interest say things like not now when you asked for sex, or we just did, kind of thing. Something like that could be implemented so sex doesnt become an overdone, mean nothing routine thing. Also like ive said before, sex should be just the beginning of the real relationship. Not the end of it. You should have maybe dating cutscenes and chats, talk about what you will do when all this is over, a marriage option would be great as well. Talk about kids an the future. Long talks, picnics, something. Im so sick of this whole build up in a relationship only to get some and feel like. OK quest completed, on to the next.
I mean come on, if you look back on past bioware games, especially Dragon age games theres two types of debates that still go on even today years after these games were released....
1. What the best choices/outcomes are.
2. Who to romance.
Obviously people think its an important part of the game and it should be expanded upon.
I wouldn't mind seeing romances expanded in some DLC. Some good points were raised about the brevity of romances in DAI and their lack of depth.

Well in my own little mind, Ataashi (Rogue Qunari) and Bull, played "The Wicked Little Bandit, and The Even More Wicked Guard." Can't say a class related sex scene wouldn't hurt. Then have the interruption scene, ooo talk about awkward. Also for mages, "The Lonely Mage, and The Big Bad Templar." or warriors "Training Day." or something........... CURSE YOU Laughingskullz, FOR MAKING THIS THREAD... I'm a good boy dang it, I don't need corrupted by...

I really miss DA:O scenes. It also bothers me, that the "I'd like to have some time with you" always ends in the same kissing scene. *sigh* Though there was one additional scene already (Cullen romance scene by the lake). More of that would be nice.
I'd certainly buy a DLC adding more romantic content.
and let the record show, I'm a Scorpio and I've read somewhere that mentions Scorpios as being very "sexual" type people actually!
If by 'DLC' you mean 'patched back in' then I agree but I don't see why we should have to pay more money to get content that was promised in the first place. In this case we were promised a 'mature romance'. Unless Bioware's idea of mature was taking it out of the game entirely, they've utterly failed to deliver on that promise.
The whole thing is a gigantic case of Your Mileage May Vary. I personally have enjoyed the sex scenes and the romance so far with Iron Bull. I think they are well done and miles away from "creepy thousand yard stare with grinding against each other in underwear." Where we had really stupid things like Morrigan putting on a bra for sex. It's also a bit more satisfying for me personally than FTB.
To each their own. <shrug>
