.... which romance was this? The two I've played so far (Blackwall and Dorian) give the Inquisitor numerous options to back out, and I gather Iron Bull is the same. (My friend is romancing him at the moment and ended up choosing the 'JUST TAKE ME ALREADY!' option after several rounds of 'but are you really sure?')
This is exactly how it goes. I only play Dorian, Blackwall(decided to give him a chance) and Cullen romances, so I can definitely add Cullen to the "Are you sure you really want this?" -list , as well. It's the inquisitor who always makes the final decision, always. And Solas doesn't even have a sex scene, right, so he's definitely on that list.
Buddy, you need to get out more. Want virtual sex? Download the Animated Prostitution Mod @ http://www.nexusmods...im/mods/10748/?(login required) for Skyrim. And go ****** around Whiterun.

Unfortunately.
Unfortunately.
I also love how there's a select few who are calling others prudes for not enjoying creepy animated sex. I'm sure bioware has one thousand other things to do than cater to your hormones.
The sex scenes literally add 0 to the romance arc. Furthermore, you don't need sex to romance someone.
I'm probably the least prudish person on this thread in real life and yet I give my stamp of disapproval to this thread.
The thread is absurd and kinda creepy.

I'm all for romances.
My issue isn't with that...
It's more about repetition... and something was mentioned about getting raped. ![]()

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for romances. But I'm gettinga creepy vibe that some want the romance for other nefarious reasons.
A whole page and many hours later, I am still confused about how anyone's PC was raped in Inquisition. Ah, well, I guess it will remain once of the eternal mysteries of the BioWare message boards, like how the 'Females Everywhere?!' thread made it to something like thirty-seven pages before being locked.

There are possibilities for nefarious sex in the game? Oooh, I need to hear more about this, please share.
Your on the wrong website.
Why? (Assuming you're addressing me.)

I'll take a stab at it.
Maybe Cassandra is the "rapist".
My Inquisitor read her poetry to start a relationship. I didn't plan on sex at that early of a juncture, but Cass kind of... takes charge. One fade to/from black later, they are shown nude.
So, did my Inquisitor consent? Of course. So it wasn't really rape, but it certainly wasn't player choice.
That's the closest I can find.

i haven't done them all to be honest. I was specifically thinking of Cassandra. I ask her if we can chat in private, control is entirely removed, and after a little poetry reading we have sex. There is absolutely no point where I was asked for consent. That is rape.

Don't you get an extra text bubble when you pressed "chat in private" situations? I understand it is a vague warning, but anything more than that would be crass.

Is this your first time playing a Bioware game?
Because if you really think that's rape then you need to get out more
Extra text bubble? No - I can't recall the wording, but it was something along the lines of "Can we talk in private?" Cassandra asks "How private?" and you (automatically) respond that there is a clearing nearby where we should meet. This goes to a cutscene where they read poetry to each other and have sex, but no control is given after the "Can we talk in private?" line.
I am sure some of the other relationships will be the same.

Do you understand what rape is? It is sex without consent.
Do you understand what rape is? It is sex without consent.
Do you understand what a video game is? It's not sex. Do you understand what a story is? It happens both on-screen and off-screen. Do you understand that what you are saying diminishes and belittles the trauma experienced by people who have actually suffered actual rape? No, of course, not, because you're busy being in your offended little self-absorbed bubble.

That's such a **** argument. It is actually you who is diminishing and belittling those who have suffered actual rape by requiring rape to be defined by your own narrow prejudices. Are you the sort of person who assumes consent, and then afterwards your defence is "She was gagging for it!"?

So now I'm a rapist because I pointed out that there isn't any rape in DA:I? You're clearly a rational human being.

Considering your the only one calling the Cassandra romance scene rape, you're the one doing that

No - I am applying the definition of rape as sex without consent. If one removes sex with implied consent from the definition, then it obviously becomes a narrower definition. Get it? But that is an extremely dangerous narrowing, and incidentally a narrowing that the courts have rejected.
