Deepest apologies to everyone who posted in this thread before. I was trying to hide a double post, and managed to hide the whole topic by mistake.

I'm at work and on my phone right now, so I'll see what I can do about recovering the old thread later when I get home.

Sorry everyone.

EDIT: Slight change to the topic title. I think it's been long enough now that no one remembers that boneheaded thing I did that one time, right guys?

Welcome to a thread where you can feel free to discuss your adventures in Thedas, across the trilogy (thanks themikefest! ), from DA:O to DA:I, and all the DLCs and expansions in between. Don't care whether you write a single line or tell a story, so feel free to be as detailed (or not) as you like when describing your adventures.

A note (and a request) on screenshots. Please feel free to post screenies of your adventures in here as well. Show off your Inquisitors, or the mods you're using. I love to see it all.

My one request --- and it's not a requirement, just a request. In consideration for those of us with bandwidth issues, or who have to use their phones to be here while at work  , please feel free to use spoiler tags to frame your screenies.

Spoiler

I ain't one to make speeches, so that's about all I got. Welcome to Thedas! I'm looking forward to hearing about your adventures :D

I decided to wander around a swamp again - I figure the laundresses back at Skyhold needed something to do. Coincidentally, I also somehow found an elven ruin that I missed. Now I'm playing elven statue archery. FYI, I am not damaging precious artifacts - it's the statue that's doing the shooting.

I'm sorry, I'm sorry... I wanted to blame it on a million things, from patch 2, to being grief-stricken over my little elf mage's old age, to the weather, to those three bears that I remember very well...but in the end, it's all down to operator error.

My ultimate goal is to get the Keeper Robe Schematic, make it with PLAIDWEAVE, and put it on Solas.

So to that end, today I farmed PLAIDWEAVE and fought some dragons to level up for fighting the dragon that drops the schematic.

...I am very excited about PLAIDWEAVE, my phone autocorrects it to all caps now, so. There you have it.

They sure did, nearly killed me too, although that was my ill-fated rogue inquisitor, so in the end I guess she got hers, too. Didn't even get to craft anything with all the claws I'd looted.

Damn! Yeah, they were lvl 8, and we were lvl 4 and out of potions, so yeah... it didn't end well.

Yep, I was totally caught unprepared for them when I met them and they were already making mincemeat out of three bandits, so I had to fight them too... well, the one guy who survived attacked me. Guess he didn't like me stealing his kills  B)

Never fast-traveled back to camp so fast before or since. The requisitions officer may have even still been finishing the sentence I'd walked away from when I left camp.

Excellent work SporkFu, well on your way to becoming a community manager :P

And to my own mess

My elf was probably a bit drunk after hanging out with Iron Bull. She ended up flirting with Blackwall a little too much and now they are all kisses and hugs. Oops. Gonna have to Cullenate in the next game. Why can't this damn game let me love them all. One heart to rule...eh...love them all

Completed Hissing Waste.

I know it's a desert and all, but I think it's actually my favourite map.

Its Dark, windy, desolate and I duuno, so god damn atmospheric and immersive.

Bravo Bioware, bravo.

Just spent a truly ridiculous amount of time trying to recreate my FemHawke. Like, four hours I think.

The end result was ... satisfactory. Actually looked better in the game than what I saw in the character-creator when I hit [Accept Changes]. Still a bit off, but I've resigned to the likelihood that what I made is probably the best I'll do. Now excited to replay this game again, getting to see my custom Hawkes and not-Stroud Wardens.  ^_^

On a sidenote, that character-creator gets a one-gun-salute from me for its dire lack of proper lighting. Literally could not see a thing at times and had to wait for the candle-bright light to illuminate the face before I could go on. Not sure why it was so bad right now. It did not have this problem previously, Hawke or Inquisitor.

:o Maker, don't inflict me on people that way.

On the plus side, the workaround for the graphics issues caused by the patch has been like a fountain of youth for my little elf mage. She's restored to all her goofy gollumy goodness.  :D

Yeah, the implications of the the dwarven stuff is....interesting?

Bhelen tends to be King in all my runs, cause I could never head canon any legitimate reason why Harrowmont should be king, so I am hoping if anything comes of it, well I want it to be positive.

**NOTE: Don’t read this if you don’t want to read some spoilers**

Boy…boy…boy….what an evening.

It was all peaceful and quiet in the beginning. I started out with a request from Varric to destroy some lyrium vines. He had asked me to do that a while back but at that time, I had no access to that cave in the Storm Coast. Good news for Varric that my people opened it up yesterday. I travelled a lot because I also had to kill some people for Cassy and find tomes for Vivienne (she was actually very appreciative that I did that for her).

After all this I met up with my advisors who told me to continue with a mission called “here lies the abyss”. Erimond had fled to Adamant Fortress with the Grey Wardens. They still don’t know that Erimond is only using them. My dear Cullen arranged a siege against Erimond. He is so good at it!

To make a long story short, my party had to fight loads of demons and even a big ass demon dragon (haven’t I encountered that thing before?) and somehow we ended up in the fade. You should have seen Solas’ face. It was like a little kid in a giant toy store. Blackwell was remarkably quiet during our journey through the fade. Getting out of the fade required a lot of walking and fighting demons again (especially demon spiders, brrrrrrr). My party was accompanied by my friend Hawke, Stroud and we met with a spirit (?) who portrayed itself as The Divine. It was pretty confusing but she helped us a lot. When we finally thought we could exit the fade some hideous demon showed itself with, what I can only guess was some kind of weird demon pet. The Divine threw herself at the demon’s pet but the demon itself was still standing. We had to fight it and we won (ofcourse). Our second attempt at escaping the fade was blocked by the demon pet. Hawke and Stroud both offered to make our escape possible but that meant sacrificing one. Boy, that was no fun decision.

We managed to escape and got back to the real world. I destroyed the demons and the Grey Wardens had realised that they have been deceived and helped my troops to fight the demons. Sadly, the Grey Wardens where without leadership. Clarel got killed by the demon dragon. I offered them to join the inquisition. Something they gladly accepted but some of my friends where not happy with that. Sometimes I wonder why I let them stay, bunch of ungrateful *peep* *peep*. Ow well, I still love them all.

After this ordeal I decided it was time for some relaxing. The Iron Bull finally wanted to talk to me again. He asked me to hit him with a stick and I think he actually enjoyed it. After that I went drinking with him and his Chargers. Nice bunch of people!

I met up with Sera and she was in the mood for some pranks. Poor Cullen and Josey J

Now it was time for some swooning and smooching with my Cully-Wully (as Sera likes to call him). When I arrived at his office, a guard told me he was meeting Cassy somewhere. Many questions popped into my head “Is he having an affair”. So I rushed to find them, only to see them in a heated discussion. Cullen left as soon as I came in and Cassy told me he wanted to give up his position and that I needed to talk to him because I would be the only one to get through to him. It sounded like it wouldn’t be an easy conversation so decided to sleep on it. After all that demon fighting, I think I deserved that.

So I forgot I'd upgraded Varric's Long Shot to become piercing, and decided to go to the Emerald Graves to do some giant killing. I lined up a Long Shot... and ended up somehow hitting three giants and two of those bronto things. Guess who got pummeled to death.

I spent an inordinate amount of time last night trying to set up a camp in the Hinterlands without being killed by bears and prowlers in the process due to having no potions and being too stubborn to go back to the previous camp and refill. That will teach me to start a confident second playthrough and up the difficulty >< not much room for mistakes this time around!

Well, I was gonna ask for some opinions on whether I should do the Emerald graves or the Exalted Plains next, but I think now I'll put off the giants and the brontos for awhile, so...thanks :)

I unlocked the Emerald Graves very early on to try and do Cullen's quest and got thoroughly schooled by pretty much everything in sight. Not an area for the blissfully unprepared, apparently.

LMFAO this made me literally burst out laughing.... epic.  Someone give this person some Red Lyrium! I mean umm.... some elfroot!

Advice:  Fade step is your friend... and if you are not a mage put it on the mage that rolls with your party most often.

A bit random but something I do every day since making Josephine my Inquisitor's LI:
Anytime I need to go pick plants that are growing in the Garden at Skyhold, I go over to Josephine and tell her let's go some place quiet.  Efficiency at its finest.

That happened to me in Emprise de Lion. First fade rift I stumbled upon. Ouch. I got outta there in a hurry. So I'm thinking Exalted Plains it is, heh.
