Today I:
1) Got bitten by 3 great bears. Twice.
2) Crafted pretty pink Dawnstone sword for Iron Bull
.
3) Got advice I intend to follow from Blackwall: never play Diamondback with Solas.

I just started my dragon hunting again after a long day of exploration. Here I am back at that dragon that killed me instantly by accident in Exalted Plains (cause i was not looking), I was all prepared for a long epic battle and the music at the background adding to its epicness. I used my rift skill w/ 3 focus bar full then bam... one hit him and died. I was staring at my screen for a few seconds figuring out what happen then just sighed " well that was anti-climactic".
I did the Champions of the Just questline for the first time out of curiosity. It was... interesting, to say the least. While In Hushed Whispers had that cool time-travel thing, I think I like this one more. I've read people say it was more personal to the Inquisitor, and it certainly is. I wish I did this quest first, or if it were possible to recruit both the mages and templars. That said, Envy really creeped me out ("I touched so much of you" ... wtf, and that Cullen impersonation O.o;; )
Spoiler
Once I've done everything before having to choose In Hushed Whispers or Champions of the Just, I think I'll do the Templar quest to see what its like, and then load an old save and stick with In Hushed Whispers. Mainly because I like getting Dorian asap. But as you know, I hear Champions of the Just is a bit more personal, and sets up Cole better, so I'll think I'll give it a shot, complete it, then reload and go get my Mages!
Today I found out consequences of sitting judgements too soon; because mistress Poulin is no longer in Emprise du Lion, I cannot finish her quest. And of course I played far too much after that. Argh!
I also made female human mage Inquisitor, Jealyn Trevelyan, based on mixed Keep history where both Hawke and Warden were girl mages (Aileen Hawke and Haylen Surana, respectivily, otherwise faithful their gameplays but with few changes (like Nathaniel, who was recruited by Surana and thus is met in DA2, and with Surana staying together with Leliana instead of quitting their relationship in order to be with Alistair. And with Bhelen as king, because i have far too few saves like that).
Was this in order to possibly torment Cullen? Maaaaybe. But hey, he will have finally pretty mage for himself. ![]()
How difficult is the Hinterlands Dragon? I might try and kill it before finishing Act 1. Dorian's my go to frost magic, so between him, Cass's tanking, Varric's rogueness, and my fire, with any luck he'll go down. Or I might wait until after Act 1.

She is fire dragon level 14, so I would recommend waiting after Act 1.
Soon...
Soon...
Same here, in my game... soon. I keep putting it off because i dunno if I should wait and deal with the grey wardens first....plus I'm too busy trying to figure out the maze that Emprise de Lion appears to be.

Emprise was alright, a bit confusing at some point but nothing can compare with the Oasis though...i was so pissed, it took me 30 minutes to figure out how to reach the location of the shard temple...
(i am sad that Cass rejected my femquizi)

Yep. That happen to me as well. Cass was very forward about my flirting with her and wanted it stopped.

Confusing isn't the word, heh. Holy crap what a maze. I keep finding these rted templars everywhere, and pushing them back further and further and claiming more territory from them, in the form of camps. The second camp I set up, not far from the ominously-named Tower of Bone, appears to have both a landmark and a locked door beneath it, and I can't figure out how to get to them.
Oh, also, after closing a fade rift near the dragon in the Emerald Graves, we came across the burned body of a woodcutter (presumably). Near the body was a piece of paper, on which had been written the following:
"There once was a sister from Sud,
Begging alms, as a chantry girl should.
Though she would take gold,
Or clothes for the cold,
She looked first for offers of w-
-- It appears the woodcutter didn't have time to finish his last sentence."
Yay, finished my nightmare (and main) playthrough. Sitting pretty at level 25, influence at 20, all* (except the 4 bugged ones) quests and collections done. I did have to farm a bit to get some research bits in order to make the final 316 exp missing for level 25, lol, but all good. Leliana was elected divine, and she's not in crazy mode so all is rainbows and unicorns in the new chantry. Was really worried for a while... especially when I talked to Vivienne and she introduced me to her sponsor's* family, and hinted at advancing using my name... pfff (so I reloaded and never talked to her
). But in the end she didn't pull a ninja divine move so all good here too. A bit meh that now no companion will talk to me... but eh I get it. Time's more or less suspended, in wait of a dlc/addon so yea...
Oh, and most important of all, Dorian decided to stay ![]()

About that landmark in Emprise du Lion: you need to go down into the valley. From the tower of bone camp, there's a downward path leading to a rift. There should be a side passage on the right. Follow that and you should find the door. (key is nearby. use radar to find it.)

Thank you!
My memory is a bit fuzzy, but the trick is really to keep going down.

Yup, found it, and as it turns out I was able to wrap up Blackwall's personal quest at the same time... well the "memories of the grey" stuff, anyway. ![]()

Good for you! Emprise du Lion is one of my favorite areas in the game. It might have something to do with the silverite in Alphonse's Passage. ![]()
Well, I need a break from the game. I did 2 runs for a total of about 120 hours. I started a third run, but I'm getting restartitis now. Not happy with my quizzy's look, not happy with my class, not happy with the world state... *sigh* Time for a break.

Wow, I'm up over 120 hours into my first run, and I haven't even done the grey warden thing yet. Hawke must be getting pretty impatient by now. Having way too much exploring, heh.

I have been playing on casual. That might explain the speed. Battles don't last long. I might try a nightmare run soon.

Casual for me, too. I'm okay with that. I find the fights challenging enough to be fun and not frustrating.

Unless you walk into that beefgate that is the rift by the river in the Hinterlands. That was a nasty surprise.

No kidding! That one took awhile to get past. b ut it was alright. I mean, they kicked my ass the first time I tried it, but I knew I'd be powerful enough eventually.
So yeah, yesterday:
Supposed to take a break now, but I've been thinking about making a female Qunari, dual wield rogue or s&s warrior.
And later a female elf to romance Solas.
I need to know more.
Today I did calpernia's full (i assume) quest line from the war table + the shrine....I can't believe I did 2 playthroughs and never even saw it...I also haven't seen the blackwall scene, Vivi fam scene, leliana chantry sister scene, Wicked grace scene, some cole scenes as well as some others...it's too easy to miss good stuff in this game O_O. Enjoying having a playthrough where I'm not trying to beat the story, just trying to do every side thing I want.

Yeah, to get all the companion/advisor stuff it's best to talk to them every time you return to base. It takes a while...
