Last night I spent much too long horseback riding through the Hissing Wastes. I dislike this map. Took forever to locate all of the tombs. When I finally arrived at the Tomb of Fairel, I saw the dragon. The Sandy Howler was just sleeping, all curled up in the center of the dwarven tomb crater. I walked along the wall of the crater to get a look at it. It didn't even wake up. I thought about trying to continue on without disturbing it, but then realized I would probably just have to fight it. I took aim and fired the first shot. I felt bad because I woke it up. How would I have felt if I was sleeping and someone came along and picked a fight with me? Sigh. But we fought and won and got the spoils.
I also got Cole's inner circle quest at last. I haven't brought him along on any mission yet, and I sometimes forget to go talk with him when I get back to Skyhold. But I've decided to help him become more human. And now that I've got upgraded gear for everyone, he's got some pretty cool daggers I'd like to see him use. I'll have to take him along next time to see him in action.
And this shot was taken while I went back to the Hinterlands to finish off the Venatori. Haha. My officer is all, "Report, sir. I seem to be stuck. Help me up?"

.
Those requisition officers have serious problems. They never seem to know where to stand or fly...
I went back and managed to get kicked out of the Winter Palace (rather quickly). I just got a game over screen, but I did piece together my Dalish elf failing at the Game in a video
. Josephine Greatly Disapproves.
.
I just got a bit confused.
If you were kicked out of Halamshiral, how did you get Morrigan then?
And if she has not arrived at Skyhold you can't get to The Well of Sorrows? Can you?

Does Florianne actually become a jester if you pick that option?
Without saving, I judged her, fast travelled somewhere and then returned to Skyhold. She still was nowhere to be found.
Then I searched for images and videos of "jester Florianne". Not a single evidence.
Yeah she should appear in Skyhold, nearby the door leading to your quarters.... if that makes sense ![]()

She wears a harlequin outfit. Here you go.
Oh, a private show, then? I'd hoped she would entertain the whole Inquisition.
Heh, thanks.
.
If you make Florianne an agent for the Inquisition you will unlock new operations at the War Table. You will also gain +5% faster War table operation for Josephine. Funny enough she will also figure as an agent if you judge her ashes.
As a jester you gain nothing. No operations and no inquisition perk accelerating your War Table operations. Your personal power (and independence) will not increase.
The idea behind making her an agent is that you personally become more powerful. You will receive plus or minus approval from each of your team mates depending on your choice. It is a dilemma for many. This is a point in the game where you have to be careful with your choices. 'The Game' of Halamshiral is not over yet. If you want to please everyone you will loose personal power. Logical.
The most powerful inquisitor is the one who realises he/she can't satisfy everyone, but have to make decissions of importance sometimes.
Florianne is - no matter how much you dislike her - an asset. A wise leader doesn't throw away useful assets. Everything that can be used shall be used.
You actually get a hint while judging Florianne.
She says: "One must remember that the game is never truly over. Your Worship."

"This year's fashion - Pine!"

Though, if Blackwall’s anecdotes are anything to go by, inviting Solas would just leave everybody naked.
All the more reason to invite... I mean, uh, nevermind
I honestly don't remember Cole being at the table in my first game, but maybe that was his intention, heh. Something to look forward to, and I'll do like you did and take screenies so I won't forget. Hmm...what if Cole were around today, and he made you forget who he was... "Damn, I dunno who this guy is, but he's photo-bombed every single one of my pictures!"
Unfortunately I have "reached my quota of positive votes for the day"
... maybe we should have Cole pay a visit to whoever is in charge of that.

Oh, lol. I already finished the game. I went back a save and tested what happened if I seriously messed up (just for laughs).
The past couple days have not been easy for my inquisitor. Morality was kind of low around Skyhold after the lose of Alistair although I think Morrigan might have laughed at the news. The leader of the mages, Fiona has all but vanished from Skyhold upon learning the news. Then there was Blackwall, my inquisitor's romantic interest. He seemed troubled by what she thought was the battle with the wardens. She had a few drinks with him and then took him up to the hayloft in the barn and well... you know. When she woke up naked and alone, puzzlement was soon replaced with curiosity, anger and then betrayal as Blackwall's identity became known to her. She pulled some strings, burned a lot of favors but finally ended up with him being released to her custody. After a long chat and some deep heart searching she let him go free. Now he continues to make amends for what he and his men did so many years ago. And she is letting him back into her heart.
Next she went and explored the Emerald Graves, a place filled with so much history and sadness. A beautiful place with dangers all around. She made the mistake of waiting for three giants to kill a group of red Templars before rushing in to finish off the giants. It ended up being three giants and six brontos when her and Solas both used chain lightening. It was a bloody mess at which everyone but Sera falling. Note to self never attack giants with brontos nearby.
Exploring the Hissing Wastes which my inquisitor is finding very boring indeed. But with the Venatori there in full force she is determined to kill them all and take what they were after. Emprise De Lion (or what ever its called) is the last place for her to explore before going with Morrigan to find what Cornyphious is after.
Dofni, Blackwall, Cole, and Solas went to the Exalted Plains... *sigh* They saw all those maze-like ramparts and immediately realized that sometimes being the good guys ain't no fun. But work is work so they decided to push on through and just do the thing. Many demons, many wolves, many zombies, and many... I dunno who is who; freeman, imperial soldiers, they all look alike when the blades start swinging. I guess the soldiers are the ones with the masks? A few rifts, a handful of shards, much rashvine and embrium and a little bit of obsidian.
We cleared the zombies out of the ramparts -- both areas yay, and were just closing another rift on our way to finding Solas' spirit friend. I really want to do this so I can swap out Solas for Dorian and go after that last Venatori he wants to kill. I don't think it's a requirement to kill all three before going to the Gull and Lantern and meeting his father, but I figure it can't hurt. Besides, if I break up the visits to the Exalted Plains into small increments, maybe it won't suck the soul out of the adventure so quickly.
Okay, I really don't mind the Plains that much, it's just...well... going there makes me look forward to other parts of the game that much more (he said, diplomatically). Had one neat banter between Solas and Cole, where Cole seemed to be having some kind of panic attack, and Solas told him to focus on what was real; the air in his lungs, the touch of fabric on his skin -- and I gotta say, the masterwork scout armor does look great on the young man. ![]()
Cole and Blackwall also compared the size of their swords
'nuff said.
Where was I? Oh yeah, just closing a rift on the way to help Solas' friend when the game crashed. Exited right to desktop without warning and no error message. Crap. Hope my last save game isn't too far back.

Heh, the game has actually been very stable for me. This has only happened a couple of times. And it totally wasn't on purpose.

Ugh, I hate when that happens. I always quick save now before going into Undercroft or the War Room since my game is just as likely to crash as not in both instances. Hope you don't have redead any undeaders again.
Thanks, I'll still have plenty of them to re-deadify. Uhh, yay? Haven't cleared the main castle with the funky defenses yet. Plan was to do Solas' thing, then go back to Skyhold and start up a new batch of war table missions. Can't have my advisors getting into mischief with nothing to do. When I left her, Leliana was on the trail of the missing Seekers, and if she's as good as she thinks she is, she'll have located them by now.Ugh, I hate when that happens.
