Here's a thread about that and mentions that their looking for beta testers

I saw that a little earlier. Undecided if I want to sign up or not. I'm a terrible beta-tester, heh.

I played Here Lies The Abyss, and spent an obscene and very unreasonable amount of time casual strolling around the besieged Fortress Adamant. Because this is my second, check-everything-out-thoroughly playthrough, soldiers. Your sacrifice will be honored after my vanity of looking at things.

I discovered there's some pretty phat loot hidden there, for example an amulet of might for Browall.

PS. Don't be tempted to browse the rest of the mods. You might feel weak...

Ugh, now you said that I'm gonna have to go look.....

Edit: Just spent the last 25 minutes dl'ing multiple finery and jammies mods. Now to decide which one to use??? Also need to find that manual banter button mod.....

The manual banter button mod works like a charm, if you have no qualms about installing and using Cheat Engine (I know a few people do). You can find all the information you need to install and use the "mod" in this post over in the DA: I modding thread: http://forum.bioware...ols/?p=18562081. I love it. I used to barely hear any banter, now I just press the hotkey and almost instantly I hear some new banter :)

I've been testing some new mods lately. I really like the conversation camera zoom mod. During non-cutscene conversations, it will zoom in on the NPC giving a more personal feel to those "Skyrim conversations". Here's my Quizzy talking to Leliana:

Aw, Qun, I switched from ps3 to ps4 last month, I know how ya feel *pats back sympathetically*

Ps4 is actually max(ish?) graphics and runs really well but now I'm jealous of all you pc master-race players with your mods and beta patches :P

But hey, at least it's not xbox 360. I hear that's even worse

I modded my game of ME3 quite a bit, and I have to admit seeing all these mods here has got me itching to try them out, but I think I'll wait until the next patch is official first in case of incompatibilities.

You have more self-restraint than I do, then :P I'm hoping the next patch/Black Emporium gives us something other than the beige pyjamas but I'm not holding my breath. The mods for them though...sigh. Jealous.

What sorts of mods did you use for ME3? I actually never really saw a whole lot for it. But maybe that's because I was too busy giggling about crabs wearing top hats and monocles in Skyrim...

Oh let's see... There was one to change Ashley's appearance to a more 'classic' ME1 look. I liked that one. Also restored a dialogue scene with Ken and Gabby in Purgatory, and a dialogue with Zaeed down in the holding docks. A hi-res mod for EDI that also removed her visor. Added some ME1 style scars for shep, and some new looks for her too. Favorite was to give her some muscles  ... Other than that, just some hi-res textures.

Admittedly, I did not know what I was missing until I changed systems. Glad you're enjoying it :) I'm surprised so many people play ps3 here, actually. I thought it was mostly PC.

Ooh, those all sound wonderful. The dress one, too. Ash's appearance, Shep being so teeny (when she can do so many pull-ups if you're as stubborn as I am in the Citadel dlc, no less!), and that dress were the few things I'd have loved to mod, too :D

I think I'll benefit from that Black Emporium DLC. I went back and started a new character after deciding I didn't like how my other "new" character looked :pinched:

I wanted to give her a classical look, but I can't decide on a name. Suggestions?

I'm thinking A names like Aurelia, Aurora or Anastasia, maybe?

I've got Tori Amos stuck in my head at the moment, so I'm going with Anastasia*. A classic name for a classic beauty. What class is she?

She's a mage. She'll basically be a Vivienne 2.0. Pro-Circle, Pro-Chantry, and will love the finer things in life.

Edit: I'll stick with Anastasia. Thank you :)

"We'll see how brave you are...oh yes...we'll see how fast you'll be running. We'll see how brave you are...yes, Anastasia."

Yeah, go for that. Anastasia Trevelyan has a lovely ring to it.

Edit: No problem. Names are something I've been really good at in CCs. Well, that and eyes. ;)

I really liked the Ken and Gabby mod in particular. It was cool to actually recruit them in the bar, rather than at the spectre terminal, but i gotta say that EDI looked naked without her visor, heh. This was the last femshep I played before DA:I:

Dofni and the boys have had a very busy day on the Exalted Plains.

After having discovered the path to Ghilan'nain's Grove was blocked by giant boulders, and the bridge to Pont Agur was smashed beyond hope of crossing -- since nobody can swim or find a boat <_< -- they had to return to Skyhold one more time.

So they did.

There Dofni put Cullen's troops to work clearing the cave-in and building a bridge (if they could've found a witch I'm sure it would have been a much faster operation  ). While waiting for Cullen to organize things, she paid a visit to the scary spymaster's loft, and there the two women spied on Corypheus' lieutenant-mage, Calpernia, with a device Dagna had made out of dwarf crystal. Dofni would rather have snuck that crystal into the stables -- say, under Blackwall's bed? -- but she wasn't about to cross Leliana.

They learned a few things, mostly about a place called the Shrine of Dumat, and Leliana offered to find out where the place was. Happy that she had something other to do than anything which might involve bodily harm to inquisitors -- one never knew what Leliana was thinking when she turned her cold gaze on them -- Dofni left the former bard to her task and checked in with Cullen. The commander of the Inquisition's military branch said work had begun on both the bridge and the rocks. Cool.

Dofni had to admit those troops were pretty good at getting things done when they wanted to, and by the time the gang returned to the Plains, both operations had been done. Blackwall volunteered to stay behind this time, so that Varric could get out of the castle for some fresh air -- in the swampy, undead-filled, war-torn, halla-sh*t-everywhere, smoky, dusty, Plains. Dofni was sure he appreciated the thought, anyway *ahem*.

In their traveling from camp to Ghilan'nain's Grove, Cole described a woman with a smudge of soot on her cheek, and Varric said, "Yeah, kid. That's her." ...Hmm. Who could he be talking about? Dofni would ask him, but he hasn't had any new stories since he poured his heart into the latest chapter of Swords & Shields for Cassandra. Maybe when the business with his friend Hawke was finished, the Inquisition's other dwarf -- no, not Harding... or Cabot :P -- would tell Dofni what Cole was talking about. She just bet it had something to do with that amazing crossbow.

At the Grove, they killed some giant lizard-looking things called Gurguts. Okay. Tough fight without a tank. I may to respec Dofni when we get back to the castle. Varric and Cole are great damage dealers, but Dofni had to distract the beasts (with taunts and challenges) so that the two rogues could be free to do their thing. Wasn't quite sure what Solas was doing all through this, but it didn't have much to do with keeping barriers up, I'll tell you that much. <_<

Dofni is a decent damage-dealer as a 2H warrior, but she kinda slow and having a greatsword crafted from fade-touched obsidian isn't as impressive as a staff or a bow. The gurguts were tearing down the guard she built up as fast or faster than she could build it... so I'm thinking it's time to go with sword-n-shield, so I can attack a little more quickly...especially if I'm gonna be the only warrior in the group. I actually took the time to check out Dofni's character record, and while she's got a pretty good guard-smashing stat, at 63%, her armor penetration blows, at a whopping 0% ... that's gotta change. Little less guard-smash, little more AP would be awesome.

Anyway, gurguts dead, hides collected, they descended into the Dead Hand dungeon and cracked it, with only a little bit of trouble while Dofni finally got through to the group to go where she told them to and stay there.

Emerging from the Dead Hand they found -- yay! -- more Gurguts, and a rift, oh, and someone named Ser Hildebrandt of Gond. Cassandra is looking for this guy, but I dunno that yet because she hasn't told me (read: haven't received the quest from her), and she is also back at Skyhold. But the gang couldn't ignore him because he attacked. They sliced him up easily enough... until his health got down to about five percent. Then he called a timeout. His health bar turned green and he just started walking away! Wait, what? You can't just call a timeout in the middle of a battle, pal!

Crap. I hope I haven't messed up Cassandra's quest somehow. That dude better be there when we come back!

There was another rift nearby, so Dofni led the boys further into the poisonous swamp and just spotted the rift in the distance when a big-ass dragon flew by overhead. Dofni's blood started to boil and she started to chase after it when she remembered she promised Iron Bull that he could come to the next dragon-slaying. Ancestor's Stone Balls.

Well, they closed the second rift and spotted one of Solas' ancient elven artifact thingys... and oh look, it was right next to a Shrine to the Dread Wolf. Solas got a weird gleam in his eyes as they approached and approved of them claiming the landmark. Or maybe it was for activating the elven thing.

So, wanting to keep her promise to Bull (read: totally unprepared for an electricity-dragon-fight), but at the same time wanting to mark that quarry site, she told everybody but Cole to stay put and sent the young man in alone, in stealth mode, to sneak past the dragon and do the thing. Away Cole went, sticking to the shadows, which were plentiful, and marked the quarry. Doing so brought him out of stealth mode -- Eek! -- and the dragon started stomping. Turning to run back to the group, Cole was quite surprised that he hadn't been as stealthy as he thought he'd been, and that everyone was standing right behind him!

Well, sh*t.

Luckily, the dragon simply flew away, and the gang fast-traveled back to camp. Phew. At camp, Dofni told Blackwall to get off his lazy, but cute, butt and left Varric to play cards with the requisitions officer. Anything to keep her off Dofni's back! And then the usual gang went out to the newly-repaired bridge to Pont Agur.

And that's where I'm at.

I don't know if you can use this in any way. It requires a bit of fiddling.

It removes class restrictions on helmets. My guess is this also will have influence on your qunari? If class restrictions are removed I think your helmet will vanish if you tick the option in the game to remove helmets? If you see my point? Or maybe chose a helmet that doesn't show on your qunari?

It does require install and use of the DAI Mod Manager though.

"Now your Qunari can wear a helmet! It's that simple!

*As of now, only applies to heavy helmets. Some helmets may not appear on Qunari. Ones that are tested as working include Warden helmet, Templar helmet, Orlesian visaged helmet (the other one), Inquisitor's helmet. If necessary, you can use the editor to fix attributes to your liking. Also, tinting is limited to default for some reason, but who cares, important thing is it's a helmet and you're wearing it."

Helmets 4ALL @ Nexusmods

PS. Don't be tempted to browse the rest of the mods. You might feel weak...

Thanks, but I'm not going to mod my game just yet. I was just venting my rage :P

I'll go mod this game when it's a year old or something and the mods have been thoroughly tested. If, by then, I haven't played the game too much.

I'd like me some new hairs though, Bioware. And natural hair colours would be nice too, lmao.

I just saw this on my tumblr dashboard: http://kalakalabobal...released-on-the :D

There will be a Black Emporium DLC for DA: I coming out soon with a Mirror of Transformation, party storage and other stuff. I hope the "other stuff" includes decent hairstyles and armor/casual outfits lol :P

Finally! I won't have to recreate a character over and over just because I forgot to remove lip shine! Or because their cheekbones are a little too pointy. Or their hair is the wrong shade. Or something! Armour tints too. Oh my, and here I thought Friday 13th was supposed to be unlucky.

Aw, Qun, I switched from ps3 to ps4 last month, I know how ya feel *pats back sympathetically*

But hey, at least it's not xbox 360. I hear that's even worse

I was pretty lucky to get it on PS4, had a sudden windfall of cash like 2 days before DAI was released and legged it right over to the shop to ask them to switch my pre-order. I'm definitely grateful for that, since I was worrying for months about how well it would play on my old console.

I love how pretty and smooth it is (and screenshots, yay!) on PS4, but wow some of these mods look so good. Manually triggering banter? Skyhold clothes that actually look good? Maybe hairstyles soon? I'm rather jealous!

One day I'll get a good computer and learn how to do the computer things. One day...

Btw, anyone else having the 'issue' that their old DA:O characters aren't showing up in the Keep?

Do you mean when you go to select 'which hero you want', they aren't an option? Or that their world state is gone? ...or something else?

I notice on mine that I can't select my saved world states anymore, I have to select 'copy of world state #1' (with the Inquisitor included), and load that. When I load it, the decisions are all correct, but my Warden/Hawke has been replaced with a default. It's very weird.
