Adventures of an angry elf mage  ...

The inquisitor is on the Storm Coast and there were some ruffians which needed to be sorted out. She went to their fort and killed everyone with fire. No agents this time just charred bodies (I am sure that the fort would have been razed to the ground with all the fire going around). Anyway an indirect consequence of the inquisitor's bloodlust is a safer Storm Coast.

The inquisitor then decided to go to Redcliffe to meet with the mages. She met Connor by the docks (which is the 1st time I've encountered him) and then she told him that she heard the stories about him. She then said that the Hero Of Ferelden should've killed him (ouch :pinched:). The inquisitor then recruited her first agent in Tanner. She then had a meeting with Alexius to negotiate about mage co-operation. Alexius asked what the inquisition can offer in return and the inquisitor replied "Nothing!". The inquisitor met a future Leliana and she prefers this Leliana because of her whatever means necessary mentality. After it was all said and done, the inquisitor chose to conscript the mages so that they are forced to help the inquisition.

Back at Skyhold, Dorian wanted to join but the inquisitor doesn't want a Tevinter ally not after the Redcliffe business. The inquisitor then spoke to Leliana about her 'future death' by saying that she was glad that she died to allow our escape :pinched:. So in this world state, Leliana has 'died' in the past and 'died' in the future so it seems she can't get a break at any time.

The inquisitor then went round the countryside to close some rifts to become even more powerful. She is currently lv 7.

(Some of these angry replies are very blunt, so I might have to do an extremely good playthrough next time to balance it out . The mage quest was interesting and it gave me a lot more background information to Dorian's character than I've seen before. Future Leliana might be more scarier than the angry inquisitor).

I get the feeling Blackwall isn't ever gonna win too many arguments with Nery, hehe. Still, I definitely gotta take Varric out with us a bit more often... but what shoudl I do? Go without a mage? i'm finding that Cole really says cool stuff most of the time, so it'd be Dofni, Blackwall, Varric, and Cole. Sigh, I guess I'll just have to find some people for Cole to help now and then.

No, no, he's really not.

I brought Varric instead of Cole to Hissing Wastes for all his dwarfy comments. It's kind of neat being able to relate to them this time. Have you gone to Valammar yet (the first time, not for Varric's quest)? I was very happy that Nery recognized Carta when she saw them.

Eventually.  But a lot of personal stuff is going on in my life right now so I might not get to play it again for a very....ong...time.  And the other thing is I played it on PS3.  So, since I enjoyed the game, I want to play it on a next gen console (PS4) next time.  But...different gender at least.  I mean I have four different Inquisitors I can play.  But may just do two of them. :P

And its funny that you should mention Dragon slaying since my Inquisitor sort of gave up on it...after eight...I think...no maybe just...6.  He just couldn't do it  He/ I felt so sorry for the creatures.

Congrats on your first completion! I had to leave Greater Mistral alone this time too.....she's so pretty, and just minding her own business. No mercy for the Highland Ravager though.....she's a monster. I think she might be the hardest dragon fight. Maybe Vinsomer is close, but ooh, the Ravager is tough! It was just Nery and Blackwall wailing away after both Sera and Dorian bit it. It took a long time, but they got her (and lots of loot too ).

Yup, I was looking forward to that first trip to Valammar just because of the Carta presence. Wouldn't it be cool if there were race-specific keeps you could claim, like you can Caer Bronach in Crestwood? Valammar could have been for the Cadash inquisitor... I guess that's why we got Skyhold, though, heh.

I love the "origin conversation" with Josephine you can have in Haven.  My Trevelyan was able to vent to Josephine that she thought Haven was a "freezing dump". lol

Awesome. :D ... I've been trained through so many Bio games that to get your companions to like you, you have to be nice to them... in most cases. I love examples like this where the "unlikely" choice gets an unexpectedly good result, like telling Cassie to leave the Seekers.

Dofni and the gang just arrived at the Dalish camp on the Plains, and met the one who wants to become an agent. He said to Dofni that even 'the people' are talking about her (and the Inquisition). She asked, "what do they say about me?" I don't have subtitles on, so I'm not spelling this right, heh, but he responded, "that the humans accepting a degenlin as their prophet is a sign of great change." ... I'm sure he says something similar about each race, but still... I thought it was a nice touch.

 You're trying to kill me.
Fade-touched obsidian daggers is a great idea for Cole, though :) He's been killing things pretty quickly. He could be invincible. I'll definitely want him along for dragon fights. I do have four pieces of the stuff just waiting to be used.

Spoiler

Hehe isn't that the best reason to harden Leliana? :P

Alistair actually does show up as king if you side with the mages. But yeah, having him as a Warden means he's around much more. You get a nice long conversation about a romanced HoF, too.

I think Feynriel always goes to Tevinter if you keep him out of the Circle, doesn't he? He always leaves the Dalish for it for me, at least. Maybe he stays if you make him Tranquil, though.

I finished the game for the first time...yey.  :D

Though I still have the end game party to go through...

Congrats! :D

Dofni's adventures in Golden Halla shepherding went ... uh... about as well as one would expect for a dwarf who hates being on horseback. It's all because I don't have a nuggalope yet! I know that's what it is. Ah well, what can I do? Dofni is not rich by any means. She's spending her coins on dwarven decorations for Skyhold instead, heh.

So anyway, Dofni climbed up on her Bog Unicorn instead, figuring she could scare the golden halla into fainting and then transport it back to the dalish camp, but it didn't quite work out like that. Instead the halla led her straight to a rift she hadn't closed yet, and while we were dealing with that, the halla took off running, and it ran for a quite a distance in the short time it took us to close that rift, too. Holy crap.

So she tracked it down again and started herding it back to camp again, and this time the halla led her straight to the campsite of the guy Dofni would have fought to become a Champion. Sigh. These are the guys who don't die when you beat them, the cowards. The whole time the fight was going on -- and again just like at the rift, it didn't last very long -- all I could do was watch the golden halla run away. Far away. Also, this time, I had to run out of the Champion-quest-dude's range before I could summon my Bog Unicorn again. Yeesh.

So, third time is the charm, right?

Wrong.

Third time, Dofni ran over the golden halla.

Didn't kill it, though, which is a good thing... I guess. At least it ran straight for the dalish camp. Maybe by running it over, I showed it that I wasn't f***ing around B)

Anyway, next favor for the dalish. Ten elfroot are needed for the storesmaster, and I just used all mine to build a greener garden for Skyhold.

Crap.

Just saw the main menu for DA:I and that was pretty cool, also the music too. Looks like I'll be the only one playing through another RPG as a female while my siblings will be playing as a male. :/ Oh well!

Oh I didn't know that about the mages and Alistair showing up as king. In my first game Alistair was king but I sided with the templars. LOL...poor Dofni, and poor golden halla.  I've never tried the herding on mount-back before. I almost never use them since you don't get any banter that way, plus you also can't search or really do anything other than ride around. I'm sure it has nothing to do with the fact that last game Julia tumbled a$$ over teakettle into the Veridium Mine while riding the bog unicorn down the river.....

Yeah I don't like to miss out on the banter, either, but herding the halla is one of the few times I do use the mount. I run the three race courses on Master Dennit's Farm and other than that I only use the mount when I want to jump off a high cliff without killing myself. It's an exploit, but I don't care heh :P Sometimes it's a frustration-saving necessity.

LOL poor Julia. I wish I could say I hadn't done anything like that.

Well, I've been taking screenshots of my adventures, but if I kept uploading them everytime I finished something, I'd be spending more time doing that than playing the game.  I will be uploading more, with probably more smartassed commentary.   For now, I'll show off Val becoming an Inquisitor.

Heading towards Skyhold for the first time.  The modded PJs show through the armor (it does with some styles,) but it looks good in red:

Spoiler

I hope Solas knows where he's going, because I sure as hell don't.

Spoiler

I'm posing for a camera that isn't there.  Just to look cool.

Spoiler

I'll raise my sword in the air too!

Spoiler

Um, what now Varric?

Edit: For bonus points, "Lord Woosley" is a Rage demon in a ram disguise.  Seriously, as I found out when I accidentally targeted him while attempting to kill a bear.  I reloaded, because you don't get credit for the quest nor can you even tell the guy that his beloved talking ram is dead.  I can't find the screenshot, but that was quite the surprise.   :P

I think it might be bugged, but in theory there should be a conversation with Morrigan and Kieran's father (for both Loghain or Alistair) if they're both in Skyhold at the same time. Is there any mention of drunk Alistair? I always wondered.

Just checked the Keep. I think I missed it the first time, but Feynriel's Act 2 options are Tevinter, Tranquil or possessed. So he went to Tevinter for me too :) What do you mean checking the Keep is cheating? Shhh

I normally have a Zero Tolerance Policy for demons (poor Imshael,) but this is a weird case.  Lord Woosely seemed fairly harmless, as well as a little odd.  I didn't know Rage Demons were capable of financial advice.  They are suppose to be almost pure rage with little minds of their own.  So I'm leaving it alone, unless a choice comes up in the Keep later: Did you return Lord Woosley?  If that happens, I'll answer with a resounding no.

I don't recall any mention of drunk Alistair. Maybe it's because he removes himself from the historic events before they become historic?

I kinda picture him sitting in some seedy run-down dockside dive with an empty mug in front of him, trying to use his fame to get a free drink, loudly proclaiming, "I knew the Hero of Fereldan!" And the barkeep, utterly unimpressed, answering, "you and everyone else in here, buddy."

Checking the keep isn't cheating, it's fact-checking ;)
