So what I'm getting from this is demons are bad, but talking rams are good and so is power and xp? I concur

I don't recall any mention of drunk Alistair. Maybe it's because he removes himself from the historic events before they become historic?

I kinda picture him sitting in some seedy run-down dockside dive with an empty mug in front of him, trying to use his fame to get a free drink, loudly proclaiming, "I knew the Hero of Fereldan!" And the barkeep, utterly unimpressed, answering, "you and everyone else in here, buddy."

Checking the keep isn't cheating, it's fact-checking ;)

Hm that's a shame but I suppose that makes sense. I like your idea though, could definitely see that :D

Yes! Fact-checking, that is totally what I meant to say :P

All I know is I get experience points and power points for returning the lord to the guy, which is good enough for me

I suppose it's possible to not get any experience for killing him, if you wait long enough to do the quest, so it makes more sense to send him home.

Just checked the Keep. I think I missed it the first time, but Feynriel's Act 2 options are Tevinter, Tranquil or possessed. So he went to Tevinter for me too :) What do you mean checking the Keep is cheating? Shhh

Gah, even though I never did this in the game, I made Feynriel a Tranquil in the Keep on my most recent worldstate I created.  I wanted my Hawke to be super pro-Templar and pro-Chantry for this playthrough, and she felt that Feynriel was too much of a danger to himself and others.  I felt kind of bad just selecting it though :/.  I've seen what happens immediately after on YouTube:

Spoiler

I normally have a Zero Tolerance Policy for demons (poor Imshael,) but this is a weird case.  Lord Woosely seemed fairly harmless, as well as a little odd.  I didn't know Rage Demons were capable of financial advice.  They are suppose to be almost pure rage with little minds of their own.  So I'm leaving it alone, unless a choice comes up in the Keep later: Did you return Lord Woosley?  If that happens, I'll answer with a resounding no.

My reason for not reloading was because I didn't feel like going back to my last save, which would require replaying a few hours of gameplay just for a small fetch quest.  Sorry, Lord Woosley, I'm too lazy :P

My game loves to give me a no error message CTD randomly (the most recent was when I did Champions of the Just for the first time earlier) and/or hang during zoning (had that happen going from the Central Hall to the rest of the templar HQ.  Had it happen to me during a Judgement as well, and I had reload a save I had made before my quicksave.  Only lost 10 minutes though.)

By no error CTD, I mean the program closes like I just hit Alt-F4 with no sort of message stating that the program crashed.  So I save constantly.   :P

I do my share of fact-checking in this game

I agree though, it's too bad Alistair isn't mentioned at all in that scenario. Morrigan should have some snide remark to make for sure.

Wow, that's pretty tragic. I always liked his storyline. Kinda reminded me of Connor but I liked Feynriel's mom way better than Isolde, and I always tried to keep her alive in my DA:O games.

I get that occasionally, too. Happened outta nowhere in the Exalted Plains just the other day, just after I'd closed a rift. I don't save as often as I should, but luckily the autosave had kicked in just prior to the crash.

Well... Anders was just a little bit extreme, but scenes like this make me feel for the mages a lot more, or at least anti-tranquil for sure.

Finished my Hard difficulty run. :D  Nery is a hero and my computer is a pud. I had to restart the fight with Coryfish twice because the game locked up at the cutscene to the dragon fight. When I would get back in, everyone was just standing around doing nothing. I could damage Cory (and he didn't even fight back) but the finale wouldn't trigger. The battle itself wasn't so bad (I had proximity resistance for all 4 tonics so each party member got one flavor and they all chugged together) but having to do the first half of the fight 3 times really sucked. I ended up lowering my graphics settings and then restarting the game after the second freeze. Urgh.

Did a few things different this time. My world state had no OGB so the meeting with Flemeth didn't happen in the Crossroads. Nery and Morrigan got to go altar hunting instead. I also decided to avoid the tiles at the temple and jumped down the rabbit hole. It actually wasn't a time-saver story-wise <_< but I did avoid the frustration of the tiles resetting for no reason other than graphics glitches. For side quests, I found the vault in the cellar, and the quizquisition guy who gave a me a giant spoon for answering his questions. Also found all 48 copies of Hard in Hightown. It took that guy forever to show up, but I don't think he does until you finish Varric's War Table sequence.

End game stats:

Level: 24 (again, though only about 16K away from lvl 25)

Inquistion level: 18 (again)

Romance: Tall, Dark, and Broody (aka Blackwall)

Power: 351 (I bought a lot of influence from Ferris this game :D)

Gold: 83K (I forgot to buy the mystery box, darn it)

Divine: Leliana

War Table missions: 186

Not sure what I will do next. I have a female qunari archer created and the plan with her is to romance Bull. But I might create a male elf mage for Dorian. He's been my quizzy's BFF the last two games so it might be time to learn a little more about him. I also need a quizzy to drink from the Well so he could do that too. And then there's an attempt at Nightmare to consider. Eep.

Well technically I was able to finish Kelbaton (male rouge who romanced Fenris) but I am close to finishing Lightwind (female mage who romanced no one despite one timing Merril and Isabella). I also haven't done the two DLC's for both yet either. The DLC's are easier to do once the game is finished than to hop right in. Especially Legacy since you deal with Corepheus and his annoying flame thrower cariosal of death.

Kelbaton (male rouge)

Act 2

- Convinced Du pris to side with me

- Gained trust of Arishok to duel him in battle (Isabella never showed up. Was rivals with her.)

- Completed Merril's knife mission despite rivaling her.

- Offered to aid Anders in his plight (had a scene that would of lead into romance but denied romance because of his "wild dog" comment about Fenris)

- Aveline romanced Donic

Act 3

- Completed final task for Aveline

- Samson remained a rouge but was inspired to fight again (funny thing is this isn't in DRAGON'S KEEP)

- Fenris claimed freedom and sister was spared

- Sebastian/Liliana mission finished

- Anders Justice became Vengence. Anders was spared near final battle (Sebastian regardless of being "friend" left)

- Bethany was saved and participated in final battle (Bethany is a Warden)

- Varric gave up red lyrium (became red lyrium enchantment)

- Defended mages but Trask died.

- Merril's keeper and clan was killed.

- Charade met Gamlen

- Severen is free from crows

- Nathenial lived

- Sided with mages at final battle. No one betrayed or was killed. Isabella is still a no show.

- Fenris remained by heroes side (fenris romance)

Lightwind (female mage)

- Du Pris was killed for siding with mentor

- Gained full trust of Arishok before duel (Isabella returned book but I defended Isabella)

- Completed Merril's knife mission.

- Skipped Anders mission (gained rival points for Anders)

- Aveline romanced Donic

Act 3

- Completed final task for Aveline

- Samson reinstated to templar (funny thing is this isn't in DRAGON'S KEEP)

- Fenris claimed freedom and sister was spared

- Sebastian/Liliana mission finished

- Anders Justice/Vengence mission was skipped (gained rival points for Anders)

- Carver was saved and participated in final battle (Carver is a Warden)

- Varric gave up red lyrium (became red lyrium enchantment)

- Defended templars but Trask died.

- Merril's keeper was killed but Merril's clan was spared..

-Charade met Gamlen

- Severen is free from crows

- Nathenial lived

- Sided with Templars at final battle.

Congrats :D ...and you got Leliana as Divine. Jeez, if I can somehow manage to pull that off we really will be copying each other ;)

Interesting battle with Corypheus  Cory wobbles but he won't fall down. And how on earth did you manage to find 48 copies of hard in hightown?? :o I haven't looked but I'm sure I've never gotten more than 10 or so. I'd surprised if it was more than that.

Upon returning to Skyhold to set up a mission to study some elven glyphs they found, and maybe have Cullen send the troops to harvest some elfroot -- sigh, the things we must do for the dalish elves  , and also check in on Sutherland's Crew's latest adventures. Dofni was particularly interested in this one because they had been sent as Inquisitorial ambassadors to a contingent of Orzammar dwarves. Dofni had been born on the surface, and spent her whole life in the Carta -- casteless, owing nothing to anybody, and yet she was fascinated with the dwarves from under the surface all the same. Sutherland didn't disappoint. Picked up a crapload of weapon and armor schematics that are just burning a hole in my schematic book. Can't wait to get toi Undercroft and have a look at them :D

First, though, Dofni must do the rounds and visit her companions, and stop by Herald's Rest to buy Sutherland's Crew a round of drinks for their good works. She must get him to talk with Bull about a new nickname for his Crew. Something akin to Bull's Chargers, or the Friends of Red Jenny. Something.

Anyway, caught up with Dorian in his usual hangout and had this exchange:

Dorian: Blackwall... quite the man.

Dofni: What do you mean by that?

Dorian: Nothing... just that there's a lot of him. Burly. Must be warm by the fire... Good on you.

 Dorian didn't sound too jealous, just contemplative.

Startin' off my Dragon Age: Inquisition...

Gender: Female

Class: Mage

Name: Aveline

Cassandra, I believe that was her name, interrogated Aveline, the suspect, for the events of the sudden attack and large green portal reaching from the ground to the sky. Sister Leliana, accompanied by Cassandra, stopped Cassandra from being aggressive towards the Aveline, and we proceeded on to showing me a large green portal, the Fade, which was caused by Aveline. Being the only suspect of the event, Cassandra took Aveline with her to investigate the Breach, but along the way, the bridge that both of them took was destroyed by showering debris from the Breach. Attacked by demons, Cassandra told Aveline to stay behind her, but with more demons protruding from the ground, conveniently, a Mage staff was found and used by Aveline to fend off the hoards of demons.

As a result of finding a Mage staff and using it for both defensive and offensive purposes, Cassandra ordered Aveline to put down the Mage staff, but Aveline replied in defense that Cassandra could not protect her, especially through the upcoming dangers and that her own life was on the line. Approving of Aveline's words, both set off to continue their fight towards the Breach. The two later met up with soldiers clashing swords with demons and an Elf Mage, Solas, who used the left arm of Aveline to close a portal of the Fade. With the small Fade rift closed, a male dwarf, Varric Tethras, introduced himself greeted us whom Cassandra seemed annoyed with. Aiding us willingly, both Solas and Varric were recruited into the party.

A few moments later, we reached a door that led to a bridge where we met up with the Grand Chancellor of the Chantry, Roderick Asignon, and Leliana. Roderick was reluctant on having us alive and ordered Cassandra to execute us, but Cassandra refused and continued to argue with Roderick. With all things settled for the time being, Aveline had to decided on whether to [Charge with the soldiers] or [Take the mountain path] since no consensus could be reached. Aveline chose to take the mountain path.

Along the mountain path, the team managed to save a woman soldier who was fighting against demons. With the Breach before the eyes of everyone, Cassandra ordered Leliana to have her men take up position on the cliffs to prepare for any Solas said that the rift that opens the Breach will, in theory, close the Breach. As Aveline got closer to the rift, a physical form of a memory of the last moments before the birth of the Breach conjured itself to all those who laid eyes upon it. Seeing the last moments before the Breach was birthed, Cassandra questioned Aveline with bewilderment, but Aveline could only say she doesn't remember anything about the event. Upon closer investigation, Solas realizes that the rift to the Breach is closed temporarily but has yet to be sealed, and in order to seal the rift properly and safely it must be opened again, but doing so would also draw attention from the other side. Cassandra then warns that demons will be coming out of the rift and that everyone stand ready for whatever passes through the rift.

Aveline proceeds onward to use her mark and opened the rift, and within seconds, a Pride Demon jumps out from the rift and attacks. The vicious Pride Demon was met with the combined attacks from the stationary men on the cliffs to the soldiers on the ground, but despite the numbers against the demon alone, the attack did little to no avail. Aveline, Solas, Cassandra, and Varric, all fought the Pride Demon and during moments of opportunities, Aveline attempted to close the rift which had an adverse effect on the Pride Demon allowing the weakening rift to strip it of its strength and defenses momentarily. Upon the death of the Pride Demon, Aveline closed the rift which resulted in the Breach being stabilized but not closed and Aveline being knocked unconscious.

It's a bit unnerving not being able to slap people and demons with a staff, and staying at a range from enemies is difficult when they're constantly charging at you. I suspect Sword and Shield would have done nicely too. I wonder if having Alistair dead at all impacts the story.

Well... if you want to slap people and demons, I'd suggest becoming a knight-enchanter when you get your specialization later. They're fun, to say the least. In the meantime maybe think of it as playing a biotic in ME3 ;)  ...and also, barriers are your friend.

Well thats part of the pain because A. usually I have had another play through to look forward to at the end of it all and stuff, or just the same character again.  I have put about 30 playthroughts into the 3 ME games and about 25 of them with the same two Shepard's, probably.  Yeah, that sounds right.  And then I just am not sure when I will play again so that...really stinks.  And B.  It really sucks becaue, due to the circumstances, I will probably never play this Inquisitor again unless I get to recreate him later.  But, no DLCs most likely, no chance to play him again, and that really stinks because this Inquisitor is by far my favorite male character I have ever played in an RPG.  I love the guy to bits and he was exactly what I was looking for when I started to create my character and this character in my head and found out you could play as a 'Knight Enchanter'.  AND it goes back to my first playthrough in Origins.  Because I attempted to create an Obi-Wan Kenobi in Dragon Age, in Origins, but ended up abandoning the playthrough because I hated being a shield and board warrior, I was tuck in the fade, I doomed Leiliana and Sten to a certain death, so it was not going well...so I restarted with Malcolme Cousland, much much better.  But now, I got to live the dream and I loved my Inquisitor.

Edit: So needless to say it really hurt talking to all my companions after defeating Coryphytit. :P

A new game. Mage. Knight Enchanter. Hushed Whispers.

I told Vivienne mages should be free. Absolutely. She didn't like it. I studied the expression in her face when I said so.

Let's see how long she stays. It's almost as if I started this game just to annoy her. I really need this.
