Dofni had another fairly busy day as Inquisitor. She delegated the harvesting of ten bushels of elfroot for the Dalish to Cullen and his troops, by having them scour the Hinterlands until they found all they needed. No telling how long that would take, so she went down to Undercroft -- stopping buy the stables first to make out with Blackwall. She had a moment to wonder if he was ever going to finish carving that Griffon, but she knew better than to ask; he was broody enough sometimes.
Down in the smithy, she crafted a brand new greatsword for herself, focusing more on armor penetration than guard-smashing, as I'd planned earlier. I figure she'll be smashing guard anyway, and when the guard was gone the enemy still had to be killed, right? Instead of using fade-touched obsidian on the sword, she crafted the blade with fade-touched ring velvet, which gives a 10% chance of Hidden Blades, with 4 extra attacks, and I gotta tellya people, I love this new sword. The bad guys have a way of dying very quckly indeed. Put the fade-touched obsidian in a new set of armor instead. Is it making a difference? I dunno. Maybe? *shrug*
By the time her own new gear was ready, Cullen's troops found her enough elfroot to make the dalish happy. She decided to make a girl's night out of the trip back to the Exalted Plains, and gathered up Cassandra, Sera and Vivienne and headed out. Cassandra had unfinished business of her own there; someone from her Seekers days had to die. Okay, then. Vivienne hated the Plains and did nothing but complain about how long everything was taking, and that they would never leave. Maker's Breath, in two previous games, she never b****ed so much. Looked like Sera was getting ready to ask her to say, "what?" so they wrapped things up quickly.
The Dalish were happy enough with the elfroot that Dofni was able to recruit one of them for the Inquistion, and raid their supply of schematics, though not without paying dearly for those

she was never going to get a nuggalope at this rate! Just to teach the dalish a lesson about overcharging one of the most powerful people in Orlais (at the moment) for goods, Dofni and the gals looted the Temple of Dirthamen. Hah. Take that, silly dalish.
Then they took care of Cassandra's target in short order, and it was time to get back to Skyhold. ("Finally, darling!"). There Josie had a lead on how to make the Duparruquette family noble again; it seemed Dofni had to convince an Orlesian Minister to support their claim. (editor's note: Next time I'm gettig Leliana's help. It's so much faster, heh). There was also some disturbing news out of Herald's Rest; it seems Sutherland's Crew has gone missing! Dammit, they were showing some real promise. Since Cullen's troops had done so well gathering that elfroot, she set them on the task of finding Sutherland.
It was still going to take almost five hours, so Dofni took Iron Bull, Solas and Cole out this time. To Crestwood. To Kill a Dragon.
Poor
Northern Hunter.

I almost really feel bad for her. Almost. Dofni is overpowered for her by now, at level 16, and this fight was no contest. It really wasn't. She is now the twenty-second dragon I've fought, through two-and-a-half games, and this one was the easiest. Like, by a long shot. Consider that Dofni has no real special attacks, like Harold and his FoF + Thousand Cuts, or Maharie with her Spirit Blade and (seemingly) unlimited guard. All Dofni has is her giant sword, really. So she didn't flinch when the dragon roared, or flew, or swooped, or shot lightning bolts, or flapped her wings, or kicked, or slashed, or bit... no, she just kept swinging that giant sword in the general direction of the beast and before too long it was dead. And none of Dofni;'s team died, not even a little bit.
Iron Bull approved so much he got an Amulet of Power out of the deal, and Cole said, "It wanted to eat us. Now it can't."

he seemed genuinely happy about that.
