Yep, been on an extended leave from Mass Effect for a while. Will return once I'm finished, or get bored of my DAI playthroughs. Have a few more I plan to get done hopefully.
Had a bit of fun with Josephine today

Yeah, to get all the companion/advisor stuff it's best to talk to them every time you return to base. It takes a while...
Does Samson have a quest as long as Calpernia's?

Kaltenzahn was a grind, because it kept summoning dragonlings to distract me just when I was getting into a good slice'n'dice rhythm with the spirit blade. When I began to run towards it again after dealing with the wee lizards, it shrieked and stunned me, then put up its guard, then hopped away when I sliced through that, then knocked me over with a giant snowball. Then it would repeat the entire process. Sigh. It wasn't taking any health from me because of my seemingly never-ending barrier and guard, but it was definitely prolonging the fight. In the end the dragon succumbed to my relentless attack, and I got The Caliban for Casandra. Score.
After that we went back to Skyhold to distribute the new loot and craft some fire-resistant gear for everyone. I decided to finally make something out of all the dragony crafting supplies I've been accumulating, and outfitted my little elf mage with a suit of 76% fire resistance armor. Heh. It was awesome to charge straight through one of the Highland Ravager's fireballs and only take about 30 points of damage... which barely raised the temperature on my barriers, let alone my guard. The Highland Ravager was pretty much the same as Kaltenzahn... uhh, that is, except for breathing fire instead of ice, and not flying away anywhere, which was really kinda nice. It made the fight a bit shorter at least. And I scored some even better loot this time; a fully decked out suit of Masterwork Battlemage Armor. Woo. I sure would like to find the schematics for the the battlemage coat arms and legs, but so far no luck.
So now there are nine dragons down, and one to go: the Sandy Howler in the Hissing Waste. I can't decide, though. Should I advance the plot a bit? Finally go catch up with Hawke and do "Here Lies the Abyss"? I've been waiting to lock in the romance with Sera until that's done. Don't ask me why, cuz I dunno, I just want to wait. But none of my companions have anything new to say, and all my advisors have got to be getting bored with organizing resource-gathering tasks at the war table, heh.
Still, the Hissing Waste is the last area left to do before advancing the plot.

I guzzled so many health potions just now (nightmare run!) that I think I should just get my mage an elfroot IV drip. My group barely survived taking out a cave full of apostate mages...but at least i got a decent staff for my efforts.

Nightmare... I dunno if I'm gonna do a nightmare run of DA:I. If I do, I won't be slaying any dragons, I'll say that much, heh.

Yeah... I just... ehhh, the last two in Emprise de Lion were kinda grindy affairs. I've got one to go for the achievement, and after that I may not be killing them at all anymore. We'll see how much I miss the shiny loot in my next playthroughs.

I'm just bumming around at the moment working for the last 3 power points (?) that I need to go to arbor wilds.
After the game of wicked grace Cullen still can't find his . . . (stage whisper) They're under my pillow (shhh).
Am having difficulties with Emprise du Lion. The rift in the pond 3 pride demons and 2 at once. My poor Meraud is having heart palpitations. That healing thing (where you can stand over the unconscious person, hold down right mouse button and they come back to consciousness) it's hard to do when they're under water and you can't find them. Also with the pride demons chasing you all over. What's the best thing for killing pride demons? I usually have Dorian and IB. I usually work two ranged and two melee. Maybe I should go Cassandra. Now she's gotten rid of the cheesewheel we're no longer being followed by vermin. ![]()

I managed well with Nightmare until the Mage/Templar missions. Relying solely on a set amount of supply caches eventually ended the attempt, though I was damned close to getting past it all. Most of Nightmare isn't that bad if you're careful enough in combat.Nightmare... I dunno if I'm gonna do a nightmare run of DA:I. If I do, I won't be slaying any dragons, I'll say that much, heh.
Today I stole Morrigan's drink at the well of sorrows. I stared down a Dragon and beat the game(again).
After that video, I'm tempted to try dagger rogues.

Today Varric made the comment
"If we freeze to death and get eaten by wolves, I'm blaming the Seeker."
I wished at that moment for someone to say -
"If we freeze to death and get eaten by wolves, I'm blaming Loghain." ROFL (well at least I am. Always laugh at my own jokes

Any well built S & S solos a Dragon. Champion Spec laughs at said dragon's pathetic attempt to eat him.
I solo'd the Highland Ravager(probably the strongest dragon in game) on hard with Templar S & S though(Wrath of Heaven allow me to control the multiple mob of Dragonlings), and it was glorious.

No offense, but I don't care for hard difficulty
I'm certain any class can at a given point solo dragons, I just mentioned the vids I've seen. Especially once you start crafting stuff with dragonbones, scales and webbing and reach level 20 orso.

Second run currently on nightmare, running dual wield rogue.
Very, very much a glass cannon atm(I am going through potions like water, I barely used them as a warrior!

Well, I decided it was time to advance the plot a bit. Past time, really. Recommended level for doing this quest is 12 to 15, and my little elf mage was already level 22 when it began (23 by the time it ended).
I had to laugh because the dialogue all through the mission had everyone being ... somewhat unnerved... by the whole experience, but it was a breeze, heh. Pride demons? Pfft... I just finished killing three dragons in a row. What are Pride demons compared to that?
Anyway when it came down to the choice, I...
Was a pretty cool quest, though. Happy to finally learn what really happened when this whole mess started, and had some good conversations with everyone afterwards, too: Varric and Cassandra being the standouts... well, and Iron Bull.
Also locked in the relationship with Sera.
it's about time.
Now we're off to the Hissing Waste to get that last dragon, the last eight shards I need, and Maker knows what else. One thing I've noticed already is that there was no flirty dialogue option with scout Harding when we arrived at the Waste. Damn. I liked those. And Sera liked them too, so what the hell?? ![]()

Running duo run (only Quiz ansd + 1 character party only limitation) on nightmare. Its pretty fun. Generally, washing clean whole doable parts of Hinterlands. Gives very nice feel of reward and satisfaction to see how you advance and go as duo on nighmare ff on.
Got some tier 2 schematics, I think i might swap Cassy for Solas or Vivi soon. Mages need More points to be viable in duo composition with my duster rogue . Now going to hunt some bears!
