So my qunari Inquisitor (or as Sera now refers to as "buckles" has been up to some trouble lately.

After stirring up some stuff with the Templars, she completely disbanded them and molded them into her inquisition. Not exactly what some of her friends thought she should have done but who's going to argue with a qunari right? So now the Templar order is disbanded and part of the Inquisition forces. Then along came The Elder One who was caught doing his "I'll crush you." bit for so long she was nearly able to bring a mountain down upon his head.

But Haven was lost... :(

However look an abandoned fort! Behold... SKYHOLD. She moved right in and first thing she did was hang qunari drapes and tapestries all over the place. Even bought expensive qunari glass from Val Royeaux. After the fall of Haven she was determined to see if she could square off against a dragon. So she went to the only place she had seen one so far. The Hinterlands dragon of course. There with Iron Bull, Solas and Vivienne, they slew the mighty beast on their first try. There was much drinking that night in celebration.

And it would seem a certain friend of Red Jennie could not keep her eyes off the qunari inquisitor and their chats turned to more serious things. Playful banter and tricks on their friends eventually fell way to trips up to her room. There the two got to know each other rather well and lets just say the qunari inquisitor was probably more woman then Sera could handle. Those long strong legs and arms. Those horns... They probably made good handles.

Anyway. :P My inquisitor also wanted to learn the path of the Reaver like Iron Bull. This required a stop over in Crestwood where she got the Inquisition a new fort as well as closed the breach in the lake. She also made a stop over in the Emerald Graves for some Rashvine.

For the next bit of time she'll concentrate on getting missions on the war table wrapped up. Its lit up like a Christmas tree...

Heh, I've posted this in the Solas thread a few times already, but look at what I have XD

Hahaha, that is awesome. With gear like that, and in BraveVesperia's pic, there's no way anyione should be complaining about going to Emprise du Lion now.

Ok, I just have to post this because I'm trying to make my way through the mucky Mire (yes, I'm ignoring the beacons for now) and instead I'm cracking myself up. I have Olinar, Dorian, Sera, and Blackwall (was Cass) in my party. 3 ranged and 1 melee. While the 3 ranged are doing damage from afar, the lone melee is running to and fro trying to find something to hit. By the time he (or she) gets there, enemy dead. <_< Cue the next enemy on the other side of the screen....runrunrun...swi....dead. Those two sure are getting a lot of exercise though. :P

Yeah I get that a lot in my current game, just from the mage in the group, whether it's Solas, Dorian, or Viv. By the time Dofni, Blackwall and Cole get to the enemy, the show-off mage has already killed the bad guy. I look at it as karma for all the times my own mage, and my archer did that to the others. ^_^

This is where grappling chain is effective, heh. Now it's Dofni who steals the kills. She just lets Blackwall and Cole run up to them, and then yoink. I don't do that all the time, of course...

Is that a glitch, or is it supposed to be nobody reacts? I thought it was weird that not even Solas said anything. Not even sure I got any approval from him.

I'm pretty sure Solas, or at least somebody, said something after that quest was done. I think I may have messed it up by looting the cave before getting the quest. I even thought, as I was going through the cave, that I shouldn't be in here yet. I looted it anyway. B)

You lost Haven? That nice little cozy village?

How could you do that!? Really. :(

I've never played as a reaver. It must be ok though. Lots of armor and then bash?
Every time I take control over either Bull, Cassandra or Blackwall I find my self hitting the ability buttons in a complete random chaos. I works, I admit, but maybe I should take some time to figure out how and what?
Good, it's been ages since I played 'hack & slash. Am I too old for that now, or what is it?

Any advice for a reaver specialization on the fly?

My second playthrough doesn't feel as long as the first. Or maybe it's because I'm not learning everything this time.

Also, a really funny glitch happened again. Last time my requisition officer found herself stuck in the ground. This time someone lost a head!

So last night my IQ, Elora, got shot forward in time with Dorian. It was a grim future for sure. But after finding my companions, we defeated Alexius and made it back to our present time. As for the mages, well Elora gave them their freedom. Afterall, she's a Dalish elf who knows what it's like to be a slave. There was no way she was going to do anything but free them. Who cares if some of her companions disagree. Especially that know-it-all, Vivienne.

c281e88d81c5ef306accbfdcb7146689.jpg

Despite the mages help in closing the rift, Haven fell. But not without a fight. We beat back Cory's templars with an avalanche and Elora barely escaped. It seemed a desperate time, but as if by providence, we found Skyhold. Or rather, Solas led us to Skyhold. (How'd he know it was there?) The Inquisition has seen fit to make Elora their leader - their Inquisitor. She accepted because she knows there's a job to get done.

While everyone settles in, Elora meets with the war council to plan their next move. Looks like a ball at the royal court will be unavoidable. Elora will have to go shopping. After checking in with her advisors, she goes off to find Solas. She hasn't spoken to the sometimes confusing, and a bit irritating, elf since they got to Skyhold. Elora never knows if what she says will please or displease Solas. But she's doesn't give up. Finally, some alone time with him back in Haven. Elora seizes her opportunity and kisses him. But it was all a dream? Oh that tricky elf.

It's the return of the Evil mage playthrough  ...

The inquisitor is still in Crestwood (just after the events of the nug massacre) and she went to meet Alistair/Hawke. Alistair told us about the Grey Warden situation and said to meet up at another place. Hawke said something like that she was sick of blood magic  but she dabbled in blood magic herself (So she is either a hypocrite, has amnesia or double bluffing so Alistair isn't suspicious). The inquisitor prefers Hawke more than Alistair at this point because Hawke is a fellow aggressive mage. The inquisitor decided to leave Crestwood without doing any side-quests. The inquisitor will not return to this area so Crestwood's future prospects are looking bleak. They have an angry rampaging High Dragon, Wyverns in the mountains, out of control bandits and a threat of disease from rotting corpses in old Crestwood. Even the Mayor didn't want to stay but he can't escape the inquisitor's justice .

Back at Skyhold, Josephine wanted the inquisitor to intervene about a contract. The inquisitor doesn't think that this is important as Josephine will be safe in Skyhold walls. Therefore, the inquisitor isn't going to do anything further. Cassandra also asked to see if the inquisitor can find some missing seekers. She told Cassandra that it wasn't important but the quest was given anyway. The inquisition found the Mayor of Crestwood and he was sentenced to an execution. The inquisitor must've thought that the Mayor was beneath her as she sent a generic soldier to perform the execution.

More power was needed so the inquisitor went to the Hinterlands to close some rifts. The inquisitor ran into Druffy and ... Druffy was killed through the inquisitor's mark of the rift ability :pinched:. The inquisitor looted the carcass to obtain a fade-touched druffalo hide which increases stamina by 10.

The Emerald Graves were unlocked so the inquisitor can continue the Samson quest. She isn't going to meet Fairbanks as he will need to deal with the Freeman on his own. The Emprise Du Lion was also unlocked to continue the Samson quest. The inquisitor defeated all the Templars in the quarry but she doesn't know whether to free the villagers or not (I want to free the villagers but an evil inquisitor would probably just leave them).

(I haven't played DA for a week because of driving lessons . I am really struggling to earn power without doing the side-quests and some of these decisions are horrible!)

What a party...

The team spend a couple of hours farming T3 schematics in a place called Valammar. Some old dwarven ruins in the Hinterlands. We were all rags. We kept turning back there again and again hoping to get lucky. And we were.

We found a small box on the floor with the Archmage Staff and the Battlemage Armor. It's so hard to find decent clothes in these parts. There aren't any good shops to be found anywhere. Peasants, all of them. No taste, but only goat milk and furs.

Back in Haven I spend a minute to speak with Vivienne. She is our servant girl, hired to clean up the chantry. She acted almost like an old school mistress, and mumbled something about allying with some mages I met in a small town in the Hinterlands. She seemed pretty serious about it. I sweettalked her a bit and gave her a raise. Just to get some peace. Sigh, why doesn't she go out some more. Having a good time? Find a one night stand or something?

Dragon%20Age%20Inquisition_Isa_2015-02-0

We decided to arrange a party celebrating our new clothes. Beer bottles was opened and we all started singing and swinging with our swords and staves. I remember we made fireworks and threw large stones up in the air. Everyone was having a real good time.
Suddenly we had guests arriving at the gates. They came in hundreds. Sure, we were popular.
It didn't take long before the party got out of hand. There was fighting and yelling everywhere and Josephine puked behind the chantry. Someone had this brilliant idea to use the ballistas throwing stones up in the air. I'm sure I saw Iron Bull getting catapulted as well. He likes doing crazy things. A real party animal.
An ugly guy with a large hat and a suicidal expression in his face hammered on the gate. He wanted beer he said. I think he was already drunk?
One of the large stones hit a snowy mountain side and created a lavine that burried a lot of our guests. Ups...! Not nice to treat people like that. Accident or not. What to do now?

Dragon%20Age%20Inquisition_Isa_2015-02-0

But before I had time to find a good solution on this problem the headmaster came along and ruined it all. He had a gigantic lizzard with him. It looked pretty hungry. Poor thing. It should brush its teeth more often. What a stink.
I offered a couple of rams and barrels of mead. I think it was almost about to get into a good mood when the headmaster arrived and started yelling like crazy. He pulled my arm and lifted me up. Then he lit a green fire in my left hand and yelled about doom of the world and what do I know?. He sat fire to everything. Really. This party was about to become just a bit out of hand I thought to my self. I know, but there was no reason for yelling like that. Why didn't he just relax and grab a beer with the rest of the boys? But no, he had to set fire to the entire place.
What a jerk. He didn't look to good either. Like an experiment a plastic surgeon had given up on. Poor wife? Maybe he didn't get much sex with that look? Seriously, he needed to loosen up a bit though.
I was about to throw him out when everything suddenly went black. Must have been the booze.

I woke up in a cave somewhere with a huge hangover. A very cold place by the way, so I wen't looking for some extra clothes or blankets and stuff. Suddenly I met a couple of despair demons. They were still in party mode. Those howling and hissing old women, you know. Very disturbing and noisy. I throw some green puke on them and continued. I really wasn't in the mood listening to all this noise. Always noise. Noise everywhere.

I couldn't find any blankets or clothes. On my way I encountered a fireplace. It was dead. Probably some of the other guests who lit it on their way home. And, what'll ya' know!? Suddenly Cullen and Cassandra came staggering in the snow. They started yelling loud. Just like the despair demons. Jeez, why is everyone yelling?...

At least they had a fire near by. It scared some of the cold away. Suddenly an old woman started singing. And then everyone else started singing. More noise and yelling. My head was really at a point here.
Then a bald guy that Cassandra had picked up somewhere asked to speak with me. He said he had a house for sale up in the mountains where everyone could settle down. Plenty of room for parties and so.
I asked him if it had a quiet room to rest in. Without noise, yelling and so? He confirmed that it would be possible to get a peaceful room, so I agreed to follow him. He seemed very serious about it. The rent was cheap as well.

Actually, I had the suspicion he only lured us to this place just to tidy it up for him. It looked like a dump. I was thinking of placing some barrels with paint in the middle of the floor and thow a couple of handgranates in there. It would have been easier, you know. But I didn't want to hurt his feelings. After all he probably ment well.

When we arrived at this place (the bald guy called it 'Skyhold') everyone started yelling again. All this yelling. All the time yelling, yelling and yelling. My head was about to explode.

As the cream on the top Cullen, Laliana, Josephine and Cassandra wanted to speak with me. They handed me an old antique sword they found on a flee market somewhere ... and everyone started yelling... again. My head. I got all dizzy.
I thought the sword might be worth something. It was after all antique. So, I accepted the gift.

Afterwards I decided to name these folks 'the yelling people'. That's what they do.

Time for What Pride Had Wrought.  The music and cutscene for the start is so good. Very atmospheric, and shows the advisors being such badasses. And anyone who doesn’t think Josie is a badass right along with the other two, just look at this picture.
Spoiler
Either she’s about to do one angry fist-bump, or punch a dwarf. Either way, you don’t mess with her.

I think we got turned around in the Wilds, since instead of finding a mini-temple that I’m sure had interesting loot last time, we found Leliana instead. I wonder if that means I’d also find Cullen somewhere?

Inside the Temple of Mythal, were many bugs. Of the insect variety, not the “damn you, idiot machine!” variety. Perhaps this wouldn’t be such a nice holiday destination after all. I like the pretty birds though, Adaar wants to take one back to Skyhold. Though the fact they apparently hold bird council meetings makes them a little unnerving.
Spoiler

Calpernia stood down when presented with the evidence we’d gathered earlier, solving that problem diplomatically (Josie would be so proud!). I’d really like to see what Dorian thinks of her, but my next two playthroughs (where I’ll be bringing him), I intend to side with the mages. Ah well, I’ll find out eventually!

We completed the trials, which were indeed a trial... mostly because nobody in the party understands the concept of holding position. At least it was worth it, because the elven sentinels allied with us for a short while, and then allowed us to take the Well’s power without bloodshed. I think I found Fenris at the temple.
Spoiler
How many elves can there be who wield weapons bigger than they are?

Adaar let Morrigan have at the big pool of Nope, and they thwarted Corypheus once more. Really, that guy gives nefarious villains a bad name.

I think the rest will have to be completed tomorrow after all! After speaking to each of her companions, it seems there's a little relationship hiccup between Adaar and Josie. I'm pretty sure saving the world can wait until she's dealt with that.

It's the Circle Of Birds-I and they are trying to conjure up some fish fingers

 I'll show myself out -_-

Edit: I have just completed Cassandra's quest and the inquisitor told her to disband the seekers. Cassandra 'greatly approves' but she is still on unfriendly terms overall as she still angrily asks "what do you want?". The inquisitor left the prisoners in the cages :pinched: in Emprise Du Lion.

Heh, sorry. Wouldn't want to keep Bull waiting too long, anyway ;)

I'd leave those beacons until you have a specialisation. I did them all at lvl 9ish and it was truly a...nightmare even with bees and Antivan fire. The early levels are the hardest. Once you get to Skyhold things get much easier. That more helpful? Or at least give you something to look forward to, hopefully?

Sera's future thing was one of my favourites, along with Cassandra's. Spoilers for Sera's under a cut, just in case you'd rather bring her on your own next PT

Heh, it was actually getting easier until I ran into those terrors. I might give 'em one more go before sealing the breach, though, just 'cause I'm stubborn like that. :pinched:

I brought Sera for the first time to the future and really liked her reactions. I've been trying to use her a little bit more each game. Will probably take her to the haunted house this time around too.

Hahaha, that is awesome. With gear like that, and in BraveVesperia's pic, there's no way anyione should be complaining about going to Emprise du Lion now.

Yeah I get that a lot in my current game, just from the mage in the group, whether it's Solas, Dorian, or Viv. I never had noticed the running around thing before, so it just really struck me as hilarious. I couldn't even play for a while I was laughing so hard.

Of course, who can resist loot in a cave? What's this "save it for later" concept of which you speak? Blasphemy, I say! Plus with extra large backpacks, I can now loot even more. :D

So last night my IQ, Elora, got shot forward in time with Dorian. It was a grim future for sure. But after finding my companions, we defeated Alexius and made it back to our present time. Elora is so pretty....Solas doesn't stand a chance.

My elf mage Olinar had pretty much the same reaction from Vivienne. I'm pretty sure his approval rating with her is around -250 or so. :o  He's too elfy for Sera and not elfy enough for Solas, and he's having more luck flirting with Cass than with Dorian. Not to mention Varric tried to spoil the game for him by talking about how a mountain will fall on him and he's going to fight off an ancient darkspawn magister. Uh, wut? He's really not so good at this relationship thing.

Great screenies, love that one of Corypheus! :D

Time for What Pride Had Wrought.  The music and cutscene for the start is so good. Very atmospheric, and shows the advisors being such badasses. And anyone who doesn’t think Josie is a badass right along with the other two, just look at this picture.

More great screenies :D ... you know, I honestly thought Abelas was Fenris the first time we met him. Pretty sure they have the same VA. And uhhh, I think Dofni will stay out of arm's reach of Josie  ...if she has a penchant for punching dwarves, I think it'll be better to just keep the desk between them from now on.

[Note: some emoticons removed because the forum is being picky]

I get a kick out of watching my other melee'ers run around.  ...not so fun when I'm the one who has to do the running. But still, sometimes it's good to be the boss.

I really think I wasn't supposed to find that cave yet, at the time I first went into it. I was looking for the last astrarium there in the Hinterlands and found the cave instead, so of course I thought, "loot"  :D

know what you mean about the emotes. I often have to delete several, especially when multiquoting

Today in the Inquisition, Dofni decided to take Blackwall, Cole, and Madame de Fer out for a pleasant stroll on the Storm Coast. There is nothing like rain and wind and brisk sea air and lightning-scorched earth for a stroll. Wait...
Spoiler

Did someone say lightning-scorched earth? Oh... hello. Nice day for a walk, yes? If you don't mind, we'll... uhh... we'll just pass right on through. Won't be a moment.
Spoiler

Why, no... apologies, but we don't have anything to eat. We didn't really pack a picnic or anything. We thought... well, that is, we thought we might hunt a dragonling or two for lunch.  Oh. I, er, I didn't know the dragonlings were your, ummm, kiddoes. I'm not surprised that you're upset, given that revelation.
Spoiler

Indeed, sometimes even the Inquisitor has to stand up and be accountable when she puts her foot in her mouth. We'll settle this the way things are almost always settled in Thedas. And then we'll see just which one of us has lunch and which one us is lunch.
Spoiler

Oh. Oooh. Ouch. That looked like it hurt. Did that hurt? It really looked painful. I think it hurt.
Spoiler

(Sidenote #1: See those two 'immunes' over dear Vinsomer's pretty little big gargantuan head? Yeah. Bad idea to bring a mage with a lightning staff to a fight with a lightning-bolt-shooting High Dragon )
Spoiler

(Sidenote #2: Not feeling those lightning strikes didn't stop dear Vinsomer from being annoyed enough to put up a full guard. Or to stop Madame de Fer from continuing to throw said lightning strikes. At least she kept the barriers up for all of us.)
Spoiler

Attempt #1 to bite the Inquisitor's boyfriend in half.
Spoiler

Oh. Oooh. Ouch. That one looked like it hurt a little more than the last one. Did it? Never try to bite ther Inquisitor's boyfriend in half, darling.
Spoiler

Uh, guys... guys? you think maybe we should take the High Dragon just a little bit more seriously? She looks a trifle more than annoyed now. In fact she looks about ready to fry us all.
Spoiler

Attempt #2 to bite the Inquisitor's boyfriend in half, with full guard no less. Ah well, can we blame her for being unable to resist that beard?
Spoiler

Of course we can. She's in for it now. Once is unforgivable. Twice is unimaginable. Dofni hoped Corypheus was paying closing attention from whatever little corner of Thedas he'd hidden himself in. She hasn't forgotten Haven, you know. Go ahead, dear Vinsomer. Just try and swat me away. Betcha can't do it.
Spoiler

(Sidenote #3: She couldn't, either  She ran away instead...
Spoiler

.... and then she commenced to fry us again. Ulp.
Spoiler

Hell hath no two-handed-baseball-bat-swinging-fury like an Inquisitor scorned. Just try and bite my boyfriend in half again, you b****! (Sidenote #4: My favorite picture of the whole battle ^_^ )
Spoiler

Ohhh yeah. That one hurt. B)
Spoiler

Unfortunately it didn't hurt enough to end the fight early. It only hurt her enough to, ulp, fry us again...
Spoiler

And then to flap up a storm...
Spoiler

And finally, having learned not to make an attempt #3 to bite the Inquisitor's boyfriend in half, dear Vinsomer made attempt #1 to bite the Inquisitor in half.
Spoiler

And that's how well it worked out for her.
Spoiler

Then the gang visited the Shrine of Dumat, and the Lost Temple of Dirthamen. Ho Hum. :P

Wow.

Nothing else to say but wow. If anyone wants my recommendation to fight a dragon as a 2H warrior, you have it! I faced ten dragons as a knight-enchanter with practically unlimited guard and barriers. My tempest archer dispatched ten dragons almost before the battles had begun. Epic and enjoyable, every single fight, no question.

But...

Taking on Vinsomer as a 2H warrior, knowing that she is one level higher than me, and two levels higher than my companions, and that the only pre-battle preparation we made was to equip Cole and Viv with Belts of Enhanced Electrical Resistance... that was awesome.

Man, I remember back when the gang first visited the Storm Coast and watched Vinsomer fight a giant, and Dofni was nowhere near the warrior she is now, and I was nowhere near as used to playing a warrior as I am now, and I thought, 'Crap. I dunno if I'm looking forward to this fight later'.

Totally worth it.

And now we're ready for the Emerald Graves. There's a Greater Mistral waiting for us.

Everyone found out about Cenise and Solas' breakup finally. They all respected her need for some personal time & Solas never left his rotunda (or so she was told). None of the advisors bothered her for days. While she was holed up in her room with Bull, Dorian, and Cass (& Cole occasionally since her hurt was quite loud despite the mark and he was compelled to come help her), she simply basked in all their love as much as she could. Bull offered to introduce Solas to Abyssal, his new Anderfels Cleaver, but Cenise wouldn't allow it. Despite her initial anger, she wouldn't allow any harm to come to him. Bull had to pinky promise or else face a triple flaming arrow kiss from the LotG. He thought long and hard about his chances but begrudgingly agreed.

Solas still couldn't face her directly so he sent a missive to Cullen about finding a dormant rift in The Hinterlands. She decided to check it out and lo and behold a massive rift was in a cave she knows she cleared before. Nevertheless she was there to kick butt and that she did. Her nifty Longbow of the Griffon along with Viv's Spirit Blade made quick work of those high leveled demons. She found a schematic for a Superb Frost Rune then headed to Emprise du Lion to deliver some bad news. A woman's husband killed her no good brother. Cenise didn't have it in her to tell the woman. She'd just experienced major heartbreak herself, no need to go spreading it around. She gave the husband the note and left him to suffer in silence with his own misdeeds. She swung by Drakon's Rise to farm some T3 schematics and silverite. Afterwards, Vivienne, Solas, and Bull accompanied her to the Shrine of Mythal to find the dragon Flemeth told her about. The beast only lasted mere minutes in their fight. Cenise's Well marks glowed, she shared a kindred moment with the dragon and it flew off. She knew she'd only see it once more...and so would Corypheus.

While she is a strong woman, having spent the past days with her ex-whatever she needed to decompress away from it all as she was beginning to feel a little raw from being in his presence so soon. She decided she'd give Cass a break and grabbed Bull and Dorian only. Josephine agreed to have tiny cakes, spiced nuts, and some wine sent to her quarters (Chasind sack mead for Bull; he refused to have anymore of that Tevinter crap Dorian was so fond of). Maker help the poor souls who fall victim to their debauchery in Skyhold over the next few days.

Thanks  :) Had a lot of good ones where Vinsomer was obscured a bit by smoke or dirt or lightning or something, and so had a red outline around her... for targetiing I guess, as though I wouldn't be able to find her  So they were kinda ruined. But even so I could've added another twenty pics :P

I created a new Dalish PC to replay the Solas romance alongside my other character (since I deleted my old Solasmancing Lavellan who inadvertently killed her clan :o) because I keep hearing "rumors" of a certain DLC and I'm pretty curious about where this may lead.  I'm also roleplaying her as less, ahem, agreeable than my past Inquisitors so I'll probably be getting a lot of ticked off companions for once.  She's a proud and angry Dalish woman who does not want to be there.  This should be fun :P.  Meet my Dalish archer, Aela (as in Aela the Huntress from Skyrim... heh)

I'm also aware that I probably spend more time in the CC and starting new characters than I do in any other part of the game. *shrugs*

*sigh* If it wasn't for Cole and his amazing hat -- they are both accompanying us everywhere -- you wouldn't see the mask at all. But I do like that crit chance bonus. I haven't got good enough crafting materials yet to equal or better it.

Mhmm, I've downloaded a bunch of the modded PJ's and change them around depending on my Inquisitor.  These really fit her :)
