Recently we learned that trying to fight a druffalo when you're on your own in Haven is a bad idea. It will lead to a very, very long battle.
Trev has experienced the wonders of Ferelden. He's come to the conclusion that it's a slightly weird place. Even weirder than Kirkwall, and everyone knows that's a creephole.
For one thing, Fereldans have an unnatural dedication to their pets.
Headgear that would make even the strangest mage blush.
Some kind of strange torture implements.
And... whatever this is doing.
He did the rounds in the Hinterlands, helping out a few people less fortunate than himself, and closing rifts. They got turned back at Redcliffe gates, even though he turned his charm on the gate guard at full beam. Giselle seemed like a pleasant woman though. She's the sort of priest he likes. Which means she isn't leading the charge with fire and pitchforks, screaming "Die, mage, die!"
Speaking of unpleasant priests, the party travelled to Val Royeaux to confront the Mothers. One got punched, and Trev tried not to laugh. It is very wrong to hit defenceless priests, of course. But a tiny bit satisfying. Too bad someone couldn't punch Lord Seeker Lucius, because that man is an arrogant sod. Trev tried to convince the templars to join them, by following Cullen's example. But nooo, Cullen's a bad templar because he's let himself be swayed by an evil mage like Trev. Well, screw you guys. Don't let the fancy golden gates hit you in the butt on the way out. Trev is taking his offer of friendship to Fiona instead, who was far more reasonable - if mysterious- about the whole thing. Only he has to go all the way back to Redcliffe to talk about it. She's standing right there, but she just has to make it complicated!
Trev recruited a bizarre elf named Sera, and the infamous Madame de Fer. Since the Ostwick circle was pretty tame, most of the people there - including Trev - would kill for the opportunity to become a court mage. But not court mage in tiny Ostwick. Who wants to spend their days advising some old guy on which paint best matches the carpet?
He seems to be winning over his female associates (well, except Leliana, she's annoyed with him). After admiring Cassandra's one-woman-assault on the training dummies, he complimented her skill. She seemed pleased, in a disgusted noise sort of way. She really is impressive. As far as Trev's concerned, Cass is the Inquisition's fearless leader. He's just the guy with a weird green hand.
Sera was talking nonsense, but Trev just acted like it was all a joke. Seems that Sera likes that! He and Vivienne bonded over how great it is to be a Circle mage, when you have the power and connections to make an easy life. Finally, Josie confided that she thinks Haven is a dump (he agrees) and asked him about the Circle and templars. He decided to admit that he had a little crush on a templar back in Ostwick. Ah, that steely gaze, fierce countenance, the ability to break him in half. Not that Trev has a type or anything.
Now he just needs to charm the men!
