My favorite part of that whole quest is where she says, "Don't tell me!" and then grabs the book. ![]()
Every time the Inquisitor makes a joke, I am continually vindicated in choosing John Curry's voice set.
You did good for your first time Harry but I'm sorry, you don't top him.
My inquisitor has not been up to a whole lot. Just been doing a lot of little things that keep popping up.
After making Flo her new agent, my quizzy chose to put her support for Divine squarely behind Cassandra. She trusts and respects Cassandra. She also had a nice long chat with Morrigan and met her polite young son who called her very tall. Which she is, Karliah is probably the tallest person in all of Skyhold next to Iron Bull of course.
She also took Sera, Solas and Blackwall to the Western Approach. After inviting herself into one of the nearby forts, she claimed it as her own. Next came dealing with darkspawn and other strange occurrences but now that that's all behind her, she is turning her focus onto the Wardens being somewhere in the Approach. Of course she did spot a dragon so I'm pretty sure she's going to team up with Iron Bull and take it out first. She gets soo easily distracted lol
I read it and enjoyed it. Liked the bit with Cullen and Lolly getting snarky with each other.
So I've officially reached Hour 50. Still haven't done Here Lies The Abyss.
I also finally found out what the 3rd slot potion is for. However, I'm way past Haven so it is now impossible for me to get Lyrium potions. I seem to be the only person who's made this massively eggregious oversight, as every playthrough I've seen from others has them obtain it (that's how I discovered it).
I finished a new Dragon Age fan video to "This Is War" from the DA: O soundtrack
Wow. That's awesome. The ending so sad, though.
Gotta drink through i guess.

I love that scene too, and in the first playthrough I had Dorian join in the convo, and in my second playthrough it was Cole. I love how happy she gets when Varric gives her the book, but tries to disguise it. Lol
Finished my second playthrough today - sadly Gilda Cadash's story has come to an end! After getting drunk with Iron Bull following their glorious victory over the Ferelden Frostback, Gilda sought out Morrigan only to find that she had disappeared through the eluvian after her son. She had little option but to chase after her (Leliana certainly wasn't going to) and found herself in the Fade. She tracked down Morrigan quickly enough and they went in search of Kieran. Despite the Fade being infinite (as Morrigan informed her) they actually tracked down Kieran pretty quickly in the company of a very old woman in very unsuitable clothing - the very definition of 'mutton dressed as lamb'! This turned out to be Kieran's grandmother - sort of - and therefore Morrigan's mother. Then things got very confusing very quickly as Gilda realised that none of these people were what they seemed and they all seem to be storing bits of other beings within them...and she thought Cole was complicated!
Bits were passed between the members of this weird family and Flemeth (Gilda knew who she was because she's read a lot of books) wandered off into the sunset alone. Morrigan and a changed (but still content) Kieran returned to Skyhold and it was finally time to face Corypheus. After a quick chat with all her friends (few of which had anything new to say) she set out for those temple ruins again with Blackwall, Dorian and Solas to face the villain. Thanks to some assistance from Morrigan in her new dragon form, the fight went fairly easily - Corypheus only managed to do significant damage at the very start of the fight - and Gilda managed to both seal the new breach in the sky and evaporate Corypheus himself, therefore saving the world!
Back at Skyhold, it became apparent that Solas had disappeared. Gilda knew something was up - he had been terribly evasive in some of their recent conversations. Leliana promised to keep looking for him. Josephine laid on a big party and everyone drank too much but there were lots of little cakes for Gilda to enjoy (including one that tastes of misery) and she was touched to find that most of her friends wanted to stay on with the Inquisition - even Vivienne! Dorian even said that she was his only true friend! Cassandra received word that she's to be made Divine - I think she has mixed feelings about that. Then Sera made it pretty clear that she wanted some alone time and they withdrew to Gilda's quarters. So, a shady dwarf saved the world! When I created Gilda, I intended her to be a selfish, slightly wicked character but she just wouldn't allow herself to fit that role and I became strangely fond of her and she ended up a good person after all - though she kept her sense of humour.
Time to move on to the next one...

You might be able to buy the recipe at that one shop in Val Royeaux (the one who sells the codex entries) after you get to Skyhold. If not, if it makes you feel any better, I hardly ever use lyrium potions anyway, even as a mage. The tonics and grenades are just too useful! ![]()
I usually have in my 3 slots is health potion, health regeneration potion and a jar of bees. I've never used the lyrium potion
It is unfortunate the companion ai isn't smart enough to take any other potion besides healing. It would be nice if they would take regeneration and lyrium potions on their own as needed. They should have a toggle for it.
NM level 19....
Olinar is making some good progress. The assassination plot against Empress Celene was foiled in spectacular fashion, and he was able to reconcile her and Briala. Dorian was most impressed (telling Olinar he "literally saved the day") and they celebrated with a dance away from the obnoxious (and nosy) noble crowd.
Once back at Skyhold, the other political sh*tstorm came calling, with a Chantry representative trying to pry away both Cass and Leliana to possibly make one of them the new Divine. Olinar told her that decision was theirs to make, not his. He knew they wouldn't leave anyway while Corypheus was still a threat.
With the situation in Orlais stabililized, it was time to start moving against Cory's faction of red templars. First though, some unfinished business in the Western Approach (baiting the high dragon) and a quick stop at the temple in the Oasis to open more doors. [I loved Blackwall's remark after killing off the first group of Venatori they came across: "I liked this place better without the company." I thought it was pretty neat that a character would remember that they came here when there weren't any enemies except the local wildlife and fade rifts.
]
Next stop was the Emerald Graves. Cullen's information about red lyrium smuggling led them here, as well as an offer from a local named Fairbanks. Apparently the Freemen causing so much trouble in the Dales have bases here as well, and they appear to be working for/with/on behalf of the red templars. Time to take out that support. Easier said than done when giants are between you and your smuggling targets.
They finally found them all though. Turns out the lyrium isn't coming from the Deep Roads after all but from a mine near the town of Sahrnia. Well, as much as he'd like to deal with it sooner rather than later, the Wardens are the next priority. Dealing with that mess will take his mind off the fact his clan is in trouble and, other than sending some of Leliana's scouts north as backup, there's not a damn thing he can do to help them.
I do mourn the loss of the Origins style tactics configuration. The streamlined tactics and behaviors menu in Inquisition does not make it easy to set your party up to run without interference. I liked having the ability to set multiple custom tactics configurations depending on who I had with me (although I always got a smile out of Zevran dashing to defend the Warden if you took serious damage no matter how you had him set).

There's a lot of things it should theoretically sell, but either through bad luck, glitches or design it does not, currently, have that recipe.
Trev now has his go-team: Cassandra, Sera and Dorian. It's the first time I've taken Dorian for a full PT, so I look forward to hearing his thoughts. So far, he's making a pretty shabby attempt to befriend his comrades. Cass is now experiencing the joy of his passive-aggressive comments. He asked about the Seekers: "are they a secret in Southern Thedas, like good hygiene?" Little rude there, Dorian. Later, he played a word association game with Sera, with amusing results. ![]()
Most of the Hinterlands quests are waiting until Cole joins so I can get that lovely approval message. For the most part, it's shutting rifts and collecting shards. Dorian wasn't as outraged as I thought he'd be when we learned what happened to the Tranquil. Poor Tranquil. Trev never associated with them in the Circle - too frigging creepy. But he would never wish something like this on them. Thank the Maker they have people like Minaeve looking out for them. Trev will have to see about getting her a raise. She can look after any Tranquil they find. The thought of using more Occularum is making him feel a bit nauseous though. ![]()
We visited some more of Dorian's favourite places after that: the Fallow Mire and the Storm Coast. Silk probably wasn't the best choice for the Mire. The place stinks and is full of corpses. On the plus side, Dorian must be growing on the party, because Cassandra and Trev seem to spend most of their time in combat shouting "protect Dorian!" and "Dorian needs help!" ...No he doesn't. He's at full health with a barrier. You two are coddling him too much. Meanwhile, Sera's about to face-plant. No love for mouthy elves it seems. The team zipped through the Mire, though we'll have to make a return trip for KE goodies. And maybe for the first time ever I'll find the remains of that apprentice mage guy? The Avvar was a tricky man to fight, and humongous too. What do they feed these guys? I think he could lift Bull with one arm! ![]()
Afterwards, it was onto the Coast, with it's slimy and strangely constructed caves. We collected evidence of the Wardens, who are searching for someone. Could it be the Warden we've just recruited? Nah, sure;y he would've mentioned something like that. There was a dragon fighting a giant, which got Sera all giddy. Since they aren't in any rush, Trev humoured her, and they watched the rest of the fight. Apparently the dragon was late for an appointment though, because it flew off mid-fight, and the giant started getting a little too curious about us.
Set some of the longer war table quests so they should be ready for tomorrow night. Sebastian Vael has extended the hand of friendship again. Since this is my first world state with Anders dead, we'll see if Sebastian's in less of an invading mood later on. It'd almost be a shame, I quite like sending Aveline forces to kick him out. ![]()
Trev has selected a glorious unicorn to be his steed. It's actually a bit revolting, but he gets a kick out of Cassandra's disgusted noises. I doubt Sera and Dorian like it either. No wonder they all keep disappearing whenever he summons the beast. ![]()

Jar of bees is always a wonderful choice. ![]()
Finally got through with Halamshiral last night (what can I say, I had some pet battles to fight in WoW *cough*), embarrassed Florianne, did a little matchmaking with Celene and Briala, and had my dance with my sweetie.
Then I celebrated my victory with a shopping spree in Val Royeaux because I really needed fancier drapes and decor!
