Lots to report in Inquisition, today, but first I want to chime in, too, and say thanks for the wonderful thread!
I'm Commander Shepard Nightingale, and this is my favourite thread on the Citadel BSN ![]()
Now then, to start off, the best screenshot I've ever managed to get:
Ahem. But more seriously, Revas and crew finally decided to advance the main plot head to Adamant. Killing Wardens? Horrible. Saving some of the Wardens then having your point proven by an Archdemon attacking? Also horrible, but in an "I told you so" sort of way.
After spending forever fighting through Pride demons, the group was rewarded by getting thrown physically into the Fade. Again.
More difficult fights, but the group also ran into the Divine! Cassandra was shocked, of course, and Hawke was oddly angry in between jokes. Dorian took the whole thing in stride, naturally, but Varric wasn't hugely fond of the Fade; surprise, surprise - the last time he was here with Hawke, everyone turned on her...including him. Yikes. Revas was relieved the same did not happen to her. The Nightmare tried to get under everyone's skin ("I mistook you for your father, Dorian" "this is your fault, Varric" "Isabela's going to die and nothing you did mattered, Hawke" "The Maker doesn't exist, Seeker"), but everyone just sassed him ("well, that's going to grow tiresome") and he gave up after a while. It was also revealed...the mark is not from Andraste, it's simply a magical accident. Revas isn't sure if she's angry, relieved or more confused than ever. The...spirit? memory? ghost? of the Divine told her if she believes in the Maker (she still has no idea what she believes - helpful) then this is all part of His plan, as well, and if she does not believe, nothing's changed. Revas glares and the group moves on...right towards the demon. Well, sh*t.
In the end, someone has to stay behind so the others can escape. Revas reluctantly chooses Alistair because this is one of my favourite Hawkes while he's still facing the Calling and is clearly being rejected by his Order, Hawke still has a brother, pirate and trusty dwarf to go back to and surely the Inquisition can make use of the Champion of Kirkwall, right? No personal bias here at all ![]()
Revas leaps out of the Fade with the gang, closes the rift and, with no real leadership, allows the Wardens to join the Inquisition to attempt to make up for "Clarel's tragic mistake."
The group returned to Skyhold, where Leliana needed a hug asked about the Divine. Revas didn't know what to tell her.
The rest of the group wasn't faring much better, but Varric was happy Hawke had survived. To cheer the group up, we went dragon hunting!
Vinsomer first:
I spent most of the fight switching between Revas and Vivienne, trying to keep everyone alive and occasionally tossing bees. Such a fun fight! The first time I fought Vinsomer, I was a KE and just spammed Spirit Blade for 20 minutes (twice, since she glitched and wouldn't die after hitting 0 hp
) but they've either removed that "exploit" or I've simply lost my touch, as I had to use an actual strategy instead. Glad for it, that was the most fun I've had fighting a dragon since my first PT
Also, I haven't unlocked Thousand Cuts yet. That may have helped a bit. Ah well, this was more fun.
Next up, Crestwood!
Since I'd just hit level 17 and was more than prepared (same team, no resistance gear/potions again but with a solid idea of how I wanted to fight her), this went much more smoothly. The fight lasted less than five minutes, even on NM, and we didn't even use all the potions (or bees!). Guess I should've tried sooner? Like, when we were here before and I avoided her instead, maybe? ![]()
Back to Skyhold! Leliana talked about finding her love (we sent her out on a 15ish hour WT mission to find the HoF), Bull introduced the Charger (and offered an alliance with the Qunari; I'll be putting Demands of the Qun off as long as I can), and it's like Blackwall's trying to tell Revas something...
And a couple of the Chargers I managed to get pics of, because everyone is gorgeous in this game and I take way too many screenies:
We also finally went to Val Royeux to complete Josie's personal quest. It's been done for a while, but I'm trying to spread things out better so we just had to meet Josie to get it checked off the list.
Turns out, she was a bard before she became a diplomat. Quite a big shift! Revas takes the chance to flirt with her because I can't help myself and now we may need to avoid a certain protective older sister/spymaster until I figure out who to romance...
Any recommendations? I think I missed my chance with Blackwall, but I think I can still start a romance with everyone else (minus Cassandra
).
And that's all she wrote! I'll be starting the Exalted Plains next, so, uh, see you all in a month? ![]()
Edit:
Did you mess in the .ini files? Cause then I'd at least have a place to start
I'm sorry, I really have no idea. Hopefully you've found an answer more promptly than I replied, but you might try tech support or one of the older boards. Surely someone's asked already there; even if it's not the same solution, it'd be a starting point.
