Somewhere, Zevran and Cole are sad at having ruined the mood for you  :P

You're probably right; just seems like in the three times I've gone after Lord Woolsely there's been some kind of fight going on nearby, and since somebody *cough*Solas*cough* usually sets off an AoE spell or something when there's combat nearby, I have to be quick to keep it from becoming a demon.

So it seems Varric has fallen for Bianca's lines before -- likely willingly enough ;)

I blame it on the bears. They're everywhere in the Hinterlands. Cassandra's like a bear magnet or something  :P

The lightning spells tend to get innocent wildlife killed a lot, it seems. Between Chain Lightning and, uh...that one that hits anything within 25 meters for 300% weapon damage every minute or so, many a Halla and young Lord Ram have been victimised by Inquisition mages  -_-

And of course the rams/fennecs/nugs/victims don't die, they just go hostile and run away, which means everyone has to chase them. At that point I would like for my newly christened Herald/Inquisitor to say, "You lunatics are on your own."

Congrats on another PT done. Varric does indeed say something about having time for one more game of Wicked Grace before he heads back to Kirkwall, so your headcanon fits alright ;)

Yeah... you get it! That really sucked that you can't interact with your crew post-game though. I'm taking a break because I just finished another one with a Qunari Templar and I got screenshot happy when I [accidentally] figured out how to take them without creating entire video clips to capture the moments I liked. So I've got well over one hundred to sift through to document that playthrough. That and the next playthrough will be an elf Champion.

I am kinda irked that the Keep is halfassedly recording my choices, since some unlock and others don't.

That's where a sniper rifle would come in handy. Every time that happens, my Inquisitor goes into combat mode and would stay like that till the creature went away or I killed it. With a sniper rifle, I just crouch down and shoot the thing without chasing it. Isn't a bow suppose to do that? Unfortunately a bow has limited range.

You should definitely play Farcry 4, Mike. You would love the sniper rifle in that game. The game mechanics of its use  aren't all that complicated and headshots are surprisingly gratifying.

I know. I bought a used copy of Castlevania 2 the other day. Good game by the way. If there was a used copy of Farcry 4, I would've got it instead.

I played that over 20 years ago shortly after I got out of the military. I don't even remember any of it. The one that came out last year isn't bad. Good boss fights.

Is this just me, or does this statue on the right look a lot like a stylized version of the Inusannon from the ME series?  It doesn't fit any creature or monster that we've really seen so far.  This is in the main game, but I'm using this screenshot because the one I have of this is buried at the moment.  Found my own screenshot, since that one turned out really small.

Am I just reading too much into that?

Like I said, those statues in the Fade reminded me of a stylized version of the Inusannon.  I was pretty surprised to see them on my dwarf.  Maybe it's just me.  Maybe it's a stylized version of the slave statues we've seen in places like Kirkwall.  Maybe it's a creature type that we haven't seen yet in DA.  Maybe it's just an easter egg, since Patrick Weekes had a lot to do with this game.  <shrug>

I agree there is a little bit of a resemblance. I just posted the image for others to see and compare. Either way, it's a good catch

Aww, thanks.  I owe you a like.   Since it's the Fade, it might be the tiniest related to ME.  I'm one of those that if DA took place in the same universe as ME, it wouldn't bother me.  It would be in a galaxy far far away from Shep & Co (or well before/after,) without the Reapers coming around.  Most people forget how much nothing there really is in space between galaxies IRL.  Eh, either way it's pretty cool.   :)

I tried to see if there was two moons, since you don't have a lot of chances to look.  After bombing around the Hissing Wastes, there isn't.

I did nothing today.

Instead, I became King Dbag of South Park. Had the game lying around for a while and figured I'd start over.

It's all I did on this awfully lazy friday. Had a blast though, don't remember the last time I laughed this much during a game.

Or, no, I do. Citadel DLC :P

I created my elven archer for my next playthrough and I'm almost giddy with how she turned out.  My favorite looking elf to date.

Meet Rowan.  I picked the name for two reasons:  First, the rowan tree in Celtic myth is supposed to help ward off evil spirits and evil magic.  The other is because rowan wood is very good for bows.  It's flexible, and longbow crafters used as it a core and would then wrap oak around it.  It was actually almost hunted to extinction because of how useful it was.  Yeah, I think I spend too much time considering my character's names.   :P

I like her already, and clever naming  :)

I think Thedas does have two moons, they're just not visible at the same time. Or they couldn't get it to work in-game. Something like that  :P Anyway, nice catch with the Inusannon. I wouldn't have made the connection, but it probably is an easter egg. Something like the Krogan heads Orlesians seem to like as decoration. Or the Ogre in the vault in Kasumi's DLC.

Also, I lied. I just spent a good four or five hours playing multiplayer. It is indeed very addictive. Help?

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking as well, since Patrick wrote one of my Top 10 BioWare characters of all time (Mordin Solus.)  It's likely just a shout-out to him like the Ogre was to DA.   I giggled pretty hard at the Krogan.  Nice touch.

I tried the "Playing With Fire" quest again today. Toggled walk and left everyone else back at camp. Once I got done tussling with a bear who insisted on interrupting <_< I still got nothing from the statue. Oh well. It's not that big of a deal but it is annoying.

Jaega did some more sight-seeing today:

The crew isn't quite ready to take on a dragon just yet, so they had to settle for a quick peek before running away.

Another sight for sore eyes:

I feel bad that I'm going to side with the Templars instead of the mages this time. He's so sincere in wanting to help. :(

Finally, while trying to deal with the crazy mages and Templars rampaging across the Hinterlands, Jaega decided the first chance she gets she will either buy or make Bull some new armor. Those genie pants are really not doing him any favors.

Spoiler

After this pic was taken, she tried to cover them up with leg guards but the stripes still showed.

Wish me luck....tomorrow I plan to switch out my power supply. I hope the new one fixes the issues I've been having because if it doesn't, that means it's the video card and I will need to get a new one. :(

(Sigh) The Cassandra romance is a tough romance when you have to think about the whole divine crap. I think I'm going to be selfish in this playthrough and have Vivienne become divine, because Vivienne's views of how she wants things to be are very identical to Cassandra's. But then Leliana is to worry about as well. She's pretty much hardened since I had her kill the traitorous spy in the beginning unless there is still a chance for her to be unhardened.

Hubba hubba, Rowan looks great! I created a new elf mage for my next PT today as well, different from the one I posted in my conclusion of Dofni's journey, but I haven't gotten any good screenies of her yet. I forgot to turn on FRAPS (again) when I went trhough the CC. I really should just set that program to start up when i start up the PC. Anyway, I'll post some pics of her as soon as I get some decent ones.

I've forgotten and I apologize for that, but are you on PC? Other regulars here were looking for MP partners in the past, I believe.

Strange that quest didn't work for you... I'm curious now about whther the latest patch had something to do with it. I'll let you know what happens when I get there in my current game. Anyway, good luck on the new power supply :)

Yeah, Cassie ended up Divine in the game where I romanced her... it was sad. Poor Harold. Ended up with Viv as Divine in my last game, but just after returning from the Arbor Wilds -- just about the point of no return for the endgame -- hardened Leliana finally expressed some interest about being the Divine and I gotta say, she seemed a little bit frighteningly ambitious about it to me
