So after having Hawke sacrifice him/herself, Varric will ask where Hawke is. Not sure if the other dialogue choices(I chose: He died a hero)will prompt Varric in giving you a "Greatly Disapproves," but I thought implementing the approval/disapproval at that point was odd and very selfish. It's not like Varric knew what happened in the Fade. If you exile the Wardens, he'll give you a "Greatly Approves" which means you have gained absolutely nothing, and if Blackwall is exiled too you get a crap bunch of "Greatly Disapproves."

Yeah, I believe Varric Greatly Disapproves no matter what you say if Hawke dies (I've said both "Hawke died a hero" and "Hawke didn't make it").  I don't know, it really is a bit odd to hate the messenger there.  It's not like you actually killed Hawke.  From personal experience, I didn't hold anything against the person who told me someone close to me had died.  As long as they're respectful about it, *shrugs*

Then again, he doesn't continue to hold it against the Inquisitor at least.

After a long day, Anastasia Trevelyan had a very strange dream with Solas .  It must be from something she ate.

So. I just got the cutscene where everyone played Wicked Grace. (kinda disappointed that Solas wasn't there). But what really got me.....

Was SERA under the table the whole time Cullen was NAKED?

Jaws of Hakkon will be out tomorrow on X1 and PC.

I wonder when it will come out for the other platforms

Here's a thread with the above message. Someone even posted that he/she is currently playing the dlc

I'm pretty stoked to be playing this tomorrow. I'm gonna be a wreck when they get around to announcing a release date for ME:Next, I just know it :P

Started a new game with my new elf IQ and this guy has been by her side the whole time! Every place I move her, he follows. I did nothing to provoke that! No behavior changes. Lol

Spoiler

See? He really does seem to prefer an elf inquisitor over a human, dwarf, or qun'ari. :D

You can even get some of that disapproval back, IIRC, if you give him a hug. Poor guy needs one after the Fade, whether he was there or not :P

Haha, yeah that scene definitely gives off the "run before they sucker you in even deeper" vibe. :D

So, Jaega's got a tough decision coming up. In order to get her romance with Bull kickstarted (and maybe get him to notice her instead of every other woman in Thedas  <_<) she has to do his personal quest. One of these times I need to not save the Chargers. I'm just not sure if this is that time. Jaega hasn't been too impressed with the Qun from what Bull has told her of it. I'm actually not sure IB is too impressed with it either. Well, maybe I'll leave the siding with the Qunari for a fanatically anti-mage quizzie. Although, running that character would really put a crimp in my Dorian obsession. :P

Ugh, I've been debating the whole Chargers question already in my current PT. I had decided to wait until my female qun'ari rogue/Bull romance game to sacrifice the Chargers and support the Qun'ari... but it doesn't seem right, cuz I understand Bull is a happier guy if you pick the Chargers over the Qun. And we want him to be happy if he's romanced... I mean, don't we? So... then I thought, okay I'll sacrifice the Chargers this time around because the magequisition don't need no fighters to win their wars. :P ... but then, what about Dalish? She and Cirwen could be sisters! :o ... the Chargers or the Qun is a worse dilemma than Hawke vs Alistair/Loghain/Stroud by far

Don't worry. I'm not going to buy this DLC. According to folks at reddit forums the DLC is just about more boring collecting and fetch quests. As if I wasn't already bored enough?

I wait. If I hear an overall positive respons I'll buy it. But at a price of 15 bucks it has to be good. It's a quarter of the game price.

I wan't expansions. More story, dialogues and plot material.

Will wait till there's at least a sale. It's not on PS4, PS3, or Xbox 360 yet. Lots of time to judge. May suggest collecting sea shells in the meantime.

$15? I get the feeling that the rest of the dlc's will be $15. EA wants to forget the $10 dlc and make it a $15 dlc. and soon other companies will follow.

And soon the games will follow the trend seen in many business areas: Get the main contents for free the spare parts for a horrible good price (for us).

We should be careful with how bored we are and what we support.

I remember Bioware said in an interview that they suspected the DLC to bring in more than the game it self. Such comments makes me suspicious.

But I'm getting it tomorrow so it's all right. Really glad that you are getting it, will be fun to talk about it after completion. I'll use tags since it's so new. I love getting new dlc, my grown-up version of x-mas.

I knew I liked you! You understand :D

I haven't actually started playing it yet. I loaded up my first mage and decided to craft her some new gear in honor of the DLC occasion, and I've actually spent the last hour farming fade-touched silverite in Emprise du Lion ( got some ^_^ ), and trying trying to find superior battlemage armor schematics (no luck  <_< ), and now I kinda want to go after that flower wreath helmet :D ... all in an effort to increase anticipation of playing, of course

Anyway - For those of you who are interested in the 'Dragon Age Keep'

Seems Bioware staff are more active in other places than in this forum. But never the less.

[No Spoilers] Announcing AMA from the Dragon Age Keep team this Thursday (3/26 MST Afternoon)

"With all the recent changes to the Keep, we're sure a lot of you may have questions about both the development, general information, and the developers so a few members including Renata Cronin, and Justin Edmond (/u/JustinsWorking) have agreed to come here to answer questions for you guys. I'm waiting too.  Mainly for any updates on the status of mods and the game, but this is added incentive.  Some people are suspecting that EA/Bioware is deliberately trying to make it so the game's not compatible with mods (i.e. because why would someone pay for a DLC to alter stuff like the Skyhold outfit if there are mods for it already?)- I'm hoping that isn't the case.  I'd hate to stay on patch 5 and miss out on additional content, but I'm willing to wait.

I feel for the players who have no choice but to wait, though.

Trev's decided to bite the bullet (arrow? Spirit bolt?) and head to the Exhalted Plains. Most charming desolate wasteland ever! The team cleared some ramparts for the Orlesians, and had a really tricky time with arcane horrors and revenants.

The thanks they got was soldiers standing around saying “So sick of waiting around” and “this place still smells like corpses”. I don’t know what to tell you, fellas! It’s probably because of all those corpses lying around on the floor! If you’re bored, clean them up!
We headed down towards Pont Agur (?) to close a rift there, and Trev was treated to one of the joys of the countryside.
Spoiler
Can he go back to the Circle now, please? He’s now got a steaming one stuck to his shoe. Dorian offered to blast it off with ice, and only succeeded in encasing Trev’s foot in a glacier. Sera keeled over laughing, and Cassandra suggested in exasperation that maybe they should move on.  :P

They encountered some ruins with a big, ugly rift in the middle. The fight mostly went well, except for the revenant that cropped up. Trev needs to work on those knight enchanter abilities.
The revenant caught Trev with a giant hand and kept yanking him into stabbing distance...
Spoiler
Even after Cassandra challenged it a few times, it kept getting handsy with poor Trev.
After the fight, he attempted to leave through a nearby door and found it physically impossible.
Spoiler
Maybe everyone was shorter in the past?  :P

We moved on to close the rift at the river, and found that Cassandra’s war on halla hasn’t abated.  She’s been chasing the poor things all over the Plains since we arrived.
Spoiler
Ouch.  :o

While Trev was messing around at the side of the river, Dorian and Sera started discussing magic. Sera started talking about mages ‘wiggling their tools in people’s faces’ and Dorian couldn’t contain himself. By the time she asked how many tools Corypheus has under him, Dorian had tears in his eyes. Trev took the opportunity to head into the river and clean up a bit. While there, a brainwave came to him. They don’t need to repair the bridge, they can just swim across! He tried to get the others to come into the water, but they weren’t that keen.
Spoiler
Trev decided to attempt it on his own. Unfortunately, since the Circle never taught him anything as valuable as swimming, he just sank like a rock and blacked out. When he awoke, he was back on the shore, and the others were stood around, trading shifty glances. Who went in and pulled him out? What happened while he was unconscious? Trev has the terrible feeling that Sera’s played some prank on him while he was out.

Revas killed the Queen of Antiva!  :o

Spoiler

Ahem. We also found proof of Fairbanks' nobility and revealed it, as well as making him an agent. While looking for said evidence, we found this painting that reminds me of Divine Cassandra for some reason:

Spoiler

And Orlesians keep weird things in their homes as decoration:

Spoiler

Meanwhile, outside we found some interesting paintings on stones, pretty scenery, and a talking rock ("Bring faith. Bring hope. [...] new life" and something about bad decisions "sorry") that Revas decided to jump on about, oh, fifty times.

Spoiler

Really, we did everything we could in the Graves. There's still Chateau de Creepy, but we decided to take on the pretty dragon first.

I forgot to switch Vivienne to a fire staff (she has ice now. of course) and Cassandra has Evanurus (also ice damage) instead of Song of the Marshes (100 dps more and +32 against dragons), too. Oops! As you can imagine, with Revas and Varric as the main damage dealers, this was quite a long fight. I thought I'd have to try again, but I actually killed her on my first go (on NM, as always) so that was fun  :)

Spoiler

Next up, Chateau d'Onterre and Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts! Not sure which one has worse monsters...Revas is sooo in trouble!

In preparation of playing the new DLC, I went after that flower garland helmet -- thank you BraveVesperia for the vid on how to find it :) . And so, after jumping on that spot in the emerald graves a bunch of times, we went to the Hinterlands for some Crystal Grace -- I already had six in my inventory ^_^  I was kinda hoping I had some Crystal Grace seeds so I could plant some in the Skyhold garden, but no luck. Oh well, it didn't take too long. So then we were ready, we went to the Emprise du Lion and headed out back of Suledin Keep to find that staircase, and on the way we found something... odd.

As far as I know it's not connected to the DLC, since I haven't initiated that yet. The mission to initiate it is my active quest, however, but I censored the relevant bits so this screenie is spoiler-free, you have my word  :)

Spoiler

Anyway, flower wreath secured, and it's back to skyhold to craft the new gear for everyone. May as well use up some of those resources, heh. Also want to respec everyone's talents now that I have a better idea of good archer and warrior builds. Will be taking Bull, Blackwall, and Sera on the DLC quest, since I'm post-game now, and Cassandra and Solas are both gone. Debating whether to respec Bull as a sword-n-board guy and swap Blackwall out for Cole or maybe Dorian. Or Vivienne. Oooh two knight-enchanters.

Well, I downloaded the DLC, popped in to start a few war table missions and unlock the new area. Then I had to go back and finish some edits, heh. Ah, work - how dare you get in the way of me playing DA:I!!!! But right now, I actually have more work to do - it's called "playing WoW and finishing Nagrand on my darned warlock so that I can go back to being lazy (unless I level my mage and death knight as well...).

I'll probably play DA:I tonight, hehe.

I dunno why Cassandra left, other than being the new Divine. As far as I remember, she and Maharie got along really well, so well in fact that Cassie eventually told her the attention was making her uncomfortable. Maybe that's it :P

But yeah, I've decided to stay with Blackwall, Bull, and Sera for the DLC. While we were chasing down the flower helmet, Bull said something about he and Blackwall being crime-fighting superhero buddies because of their names, so I don't want to disappoint the big guy  ... besides, Blackwall looks badass in Templar armor.

EDIT: Update: ... so I've been down to Undercroft and crafted some new Keeper Robes for Maharie -- Sera's not gonna like this  ... and sold/stored all my excess gear, and other than respec'ing everyone's skill points, we are ready for the DLC. On a whim, I decided to go to the tavern and chat with Sera, just because ;) ... and who is standing in her familiar spot in the courtyard? Cassandra!

Of course i ran right over to talk to her and she said "Andraste's Grace! Tell me that you need me to come with you! I feel the need to hit something with my sword... repeatedly!" ... Oh it was great! The poor woman was practically begging Maharie to bring her along on an adventure so she could get away from the clerics planning her coronation. ... at the end of the conversation you're given a choice: refuse and Cassie will never rejoin the group. Accept and she will rejoin... for a time.  So... sorry, Blackwall. You'll be sitting this one out.   Bull will just have to be a superhero all by himself.

I think maybe now I'm ready to play the DLC.
