My little elf mage has had incredibly bad luck with agents, ever since she couldn't save scout Ritts in time in the Hinterlands at the beginning of the game  . I've acquired a few, but I'm positive I've missed out on more than I've gotten... and  I just couldn't pass up the chance to make Florianne the court jester.

The only one I don't have is Anais, and that's because I told her to help the refugees instead of being eyes and ears :/ oh, and Ser Barris, because I allied with the mages. if only I had as much luck with mosaic pieces...

Started a third run. Well, it's my fifth attempt at a third run. (restartitis is a debilitating condition). I'm going to play this one slow and find all the things. (including the elusive Orlesian helmet. I needs it!)

False alarm! I went back to the Exalted Plains and the NPC appeared again, killed it, and Cass's quest updated!

Discovered the secrets of all the Tombs of Fairel and killed the Sandy Howler. Then I killed the first 2 High Dragons in Empire Du Lion and finished a sidequest that allows me to fast travel to the third when I want. I later stormed Adamant, Spared the grey wardens, left Hawke in the Fade for Stroud, and had the Grey Wardens join the Inquisition. Finally, I sentenced Erimond to life in jail and forgave Ser Ruth in the name of Andraste. I'm now level 21.

I tried playing on my laptop today, which ended badly. I was quite desperate to do that i guess, photoshop gives more FPS. While at work i got informed that my PC monitor is fixable and will be ready around the evening. I just came home and it's working as new. Time to catch up.

That's great about your monitor being fixed. It's not easy to get a new one when the ones you want are like, £200 - 300 lol, so welcome back to the fold.

 

I now need gold making advice. Ethreal the Mage decided to take a look at the Dalish merchant store in Exalted Plains, and it was the worst decision he ever made. Went from 10k gold down to 3k. But he now has a bunch of tier 2 light armor schems, heavy schems, and staff upgrades! One of the schematics was for the Warden Battlemage outfit, which if I remember rightly, was a good looking piece of gear!

 

But yeah, gold making advice would be welcome lol

Thank you, i was saving for a new GPU and when this happened i was kinda shocked. Anyway...you don't need to buy any tier 2 schematics since you will replace them soon enough. Best way to make gold should be doing side quests, especially the ones in the Hissing Wastes (you can get some tier 3 masterwork weapon schematics there doing the cave puzzles as well).

I do that 'Fade Step' thing all the time with my mage, right into the middle of a group. Sometimes on purpose.

I wish I could have just danced with the Duchess and not talked to her. So many points lost.

 

Anyway got thru' all my puzzles, yay! Game crashed, aaarrrggghhh! This time tho' I had those puzzles in a headlock. Got back to the door, wandered around, found the well, nothing happened. Glitch ended with me walking underwater. Always cool. Yes, reloaded and hello - there's a cutscene with elves. Samson is

Try that with the artificer's focus ability...RIP game, forcing you to re-load almost every time.

Indeed  ...but sometimes I uhh, accidentally press the wrong hotkey and.... well, good thing I have a spirit blade, heh.

Daeni went and rescued the soldiers from the marsh last night, fought a bunch of undead. She really likes having the two mages with Cassandra as a Vanguard in the party. It makes closing rifts easy work. Did some more bear hunting, and killed a couple of brontos. Hmmm.... brontos. Might go back and see if we can hunt for them again just to make some better armor. You know like in Skyrim, you can't have your armor be too good. I think I need like 11 pieces.

 

Then we went to Redcliffe and found out that there was a time warp at the rift that appeared. Some Tevinter mage did some hocus pokus and now Fiona is no longer the Grand Enchanter. Whoa. This is bullsh*t. That's some bad juju. I was for mages being free and all that, but doing crap like this? No. I think it's time for non-mages to invent stuff like guns and ammo. And they're behind those skull things and shards too. I've got some ideas though.

Finally bit the bullet and recruited the Templars instead of the mages (I had to put myself in the mindest of Dern Cadash, who doesn't care who helps so as SOMEONE helps. All the other Quizzies were somewhat predisposed to help the Mages and/or Redcliffe (probably got that wrong, sorry)).

That was quite the trip.

 

Though, despite the demon-in-my-head tripiness, I feel like we get a better sense of the stakes from recruiting the mages.

Recruiting the Templars is much more of a mindfuck, but it's also infinitely more personal a struggle than what happens with the mages. More about the Inquisitor, and less about what happens to the world without them there to solve all of the problems caused by massive idiots.

Didn't get much done last night. Closed all the rifts in Emerald Graves and collected the remaining shards. Went back to Skyhold to find Cassandra deeply engrossed in one of Varric's romance novels. I convinced him to give her the latest chapter and of course let him do the honors. Was cracking up the whole time, especially when Cass exclaimed in a panicky voice, "Don't tell me!" what happens, right before she grabbed the book from Varric. "Totally worth it," indeed.

 

I started the Wicked Eyes/Wicked Hearts mission but I think I will reload and head out to the Western Approach instead. All those masks are just too creepy. Plus, why is my quizzie dressed like a toy soldier? That might work for a male but not so much for a female.
