Just when I thought I had Chasimess talk to everyone in Skyhold...

Lil_02_zpsoprsikoa.jpg?t=1428815366

Other_56_zpssjzblw8b.jpg?t=1428815426

Chasimess seems to talk to more people to get more things to do from the people.

DAIBeermov_01_zps3h7mkgbf.gif?t=14288155

While I guess Chasimess is throwing back a drink of pissmonchango here and there I have been hitting up RESIDENT EVIL REVELATIONS 2. i am a bit peeved that the PS3/XBOX 360 version of MKX will be out June-Decemberish and realized I returned BATTLEFIELD HARDLINE prematurely but tiz ok I rented RE: REV 2. I swear at times with all of the RE 1 refs it makes me want to...

DAIBeermov_02_zpsr8puijsw.gif?t=14288155

Anyhoo I beaten the prolog and just hit CHAPTER 1. Frankly I feel it would be a better 3DS game than a console game but whatever.

DAI wise I hit up Chasimess again and started hitting Champeign Du Lion and made ok progress. I am having issues with a portal because of what they spawn. O also respecced Iron Bull to get into stuff i want from Reaver, 2H swrod and the taunting pull twice. First time I was just meh but second time seems better. I have to get my taunt abilties again but getting DRAGON RAGE +UPGRADE still rocks since I can have him at near death do 3,000 damage per hit. If I can find Prophet Laurels my regen potion problems will be a thing of the past. I am also having a problem with a portal in the plains because i usually spawns 2 arcane horrors, 1 or 2 pride demons and 3-4 terrors on wave 2. I did crush my first dragon (western approach). I controlled iron Bull and kept healing and dragon raging the crap out of it. Went by quick. I did finish Cole's mission:

Spoiler

I also did Varric's Bianca (not the crossbow) mission. I really didn't support Verric for this. I kind of did the leg work for it already because back in level 12ish I think I did the Valamaar side quest for exp reasons so I can be prepared for the abyss story mission.

Speaking of Liliana the discussion I had with her about my DAO/DAA warden was interesting. She sounded like she's still deep into my warden Moonphase. For how I have been writing Moonphase Demoir lately I had my character 'find someone else' which makes it seem like Liliana is having a 'one way love'. To me it would make sense with my warden's personality because she had a-lot of previous relationships only to treat them as 'phases'. My warden was never a nice woman. As i mentioned before she shags the one dalish guy, tells her girlfriend, breaks them up, then kills them.

At the moment I kind of feeli like I am struggling for exp right now but I am managing. I at least want to me over ready for WICKED MINDS, WICKED HEARTS. Also like how I took Blackwall for the abyss storyline I am going to take Vivianne because she does produce some good story to the story mission.

Mean time...

DAIBeermov_03_zpstkvkybcc.gif?t=14288155

Keep on keepin on.

PS: I did find a MASS EFFECT 2, 3 ref:

I have this game for the pc and the xbox one and I just can't get into it, my toon has been at the starting area since launch. I just YouTubed everything, the end boss is horrible, the male romance options are blah ( I love Cassandra but would have rather had the options for Sera, non romanced Isabela,Cassandra, and a non Warden romanced Leliana), and the fetch quests are very time consuming. I really hope they make a direct sequel to The Inquisition Story this time around so it will give me some incentive and drive to play DAI in full. I know its not MASS EFFECT but that time creating my toon feels kinda for nothing. I knew there was some reason I could not really get into the Dragon Age series from the beginning and I think playing a different game different protagonist thing is kinda hard for me to get into. I actually never played the first two games at all for this reason, just YouTubed everything out of curiosity. Yes sad but true :P If Inquisition turns into a trilogy with your same toon I might go back and play all the games in full but other than that meh. Just stick with ME1, 2, and 3 lol.

I started with the ME Trilogy, and then bought Inquisition last month. I find the DA series very interesting. Inquisition is one of my favorite games, but I will agree with the amount of side quests in the game and the main boss of the game. My hype for this game must have been different from you, because I was already interested back in November of 2014. One of the positive things I like about DA over the ME series is that it doesn't use the Paragon and Renegade mechanic that would restrict you from dialogue choices.

Well i am glad you like this game and there is nothing wrong with Chidingeqe8036's opinion though. The DA's cater more for the mid-evil RPGers. This is an age old debate and maybe a topic for another thread (if not has actually been discussed years ago somewhere in BIOWARES Mb).

Frankly I have followed the DA world since DRAGON AGE ORIGINS and have been liking these games except for DRAGON AGE 2. Dragon Age 2 was set in a set city where your only a human (male/female) named Hawke. 75% of the side quests consisted of 'find this/give that to somebody'. 80% of the maps kept getting recycled over and over again (this is locked now when that wasn't locked before) and the romances felt like friendships. Regardless I do agree with you Excella Gionne is the dialogging is a-lot more vast where my dialogs make huger impact since it's not about making 'paragon or renegade choices' but how i feel about what's being said. Do i want to make a deal with a group of assassins? do I push them away and tell them to leave the land? do i want to make a alliance with the assassins? or do i want to kill the assassins? Seriously there is no wrong way to play. I am just stuck with my decision and get the +'s or -'s of my decision.

As far as "Trilogizing inquisition" I am unsure but it may seem to be the case maybe. I remember back when DRAGON AGE ORIGINS came out BIOWARE said "they were going to trilogize it" where your warden continues battling darkspawn (I guess) but it seemed like that didn't happen because as i mentioned above after DAO/DAA DA 2's main character is "Hawke" who is unrelated to your character in DAO/DAA the did DRAGON AGE INQUISITION who is unrelated to your warden and Hawke. BIOWARE seems to keep changing their mind on what they want to do with the franchise. To be frank by now the franchise was intended to be DRAGON AGE ORIGINS, DRAGON AGE AWAKENING, and a third game (not DRAGON AGE 2) so we're lucky to get DRAGON AGE 2 and DRAGON AGE INQUISITION from this whole "trilogy" idea.

me: Hey! What's your problem?

Cass: ME! Look around. All the women flocking around you even removing their clothing and some wanting to have your baby. Heck even a few guys want to be with you

me: Cass? Don't worry. This has happened many times when I sing at taverns. Apparently a lot of fans are here at the Winter Palace. They like my voice. Just so you know, I never cheated when I was married and I won't cheat on you.

Cass: You may want to tell that to your fans.

me: Come on. We're here to help Celene

Celene: Its good to see you Inquisitor. Maybe we should go somewhere private.

me:..ah...I'm here to get your support and help you stay in power.

Celene: I will give you all the support you want if you sing for me and my guests

me: Fair enough. I have a song folks may like

Cass: You did well tonight.

me: Cassandra? Will you dance with me?

Cass: I can do that

One thing I noticed being at the Winter Palace is I would take damage when jumping from a balcony. That never happened when I played as femquisitor.

Will continue the playthrough later

Lol. Nice comments from Cassandra. I never got that conversation before when I played as Draven (romanced and made Cassandra divine). Also a nice touch on that Elvis video. Since Draven was always Mr. king of lol I can see him and your inq do jail house rock or something themikefest. Lol.

I haven't noticed that or if not forgot about that. That's one thing I did like about Kelbaton (a male Hawke in DA 2 that was a bow rouge) was that he could melee if things got close. He would whip out a dagger and do a three hit style knife combo if people got close. When their dead he would whip out the bow and go back to shooting arrows. I am glad you don't have to worry about flip flopping unlike DAO/DAA.

In my current playthrough. I'm going to each region to close all rifts before going to the Arbor wilds

Remember fighting the Geth in ME3 and their missles hit you no matter what? Apparently the spiders that spit their poison at you have the same effect. On nightmare they really hurt. Hopefully in the next patch, Bioware adds spider poison resistance

Huh, I never noticed that with Jaega. What I did notice, during the battle against Cory's dragon, was that she whipped out 2 daggers to finish it off. She never picked up a dagger all game, other than to sell it or give it to Cole, so that was a bit immersion-breaking. Why couldn't she go all Legolas on its head and just stab it with an arrow?

Those spiders are nasty, and there isn't any poison or nature resistance in DAI which really sucks. Sera would usually get the worst of it. We'd be going along our merry way and poof! Face-plant. <_<

Arriving in the Arbor Wilds. Bull is apparently being camera shy since he's nowhere to be seen.

Jaega did all the rituals and then agreed to work with Abelas. She attacked Calpernia rather than let her go, then let Morrigan drink from the Well. Oddly enough, that garnered disapproval from Bull. He is an odd duck, that one.

Chatting with her BFF back at Skyhold. Is he actually reading one of Varric's books???  :o

After chasing Kieran in the Fade, and meeting Morrigan's mother, Flemythal, she was ready for the showdown with Coryfish.

More on the Dragon Hunter Challenge: How low can you go?

Got to Skyhold. Benchmark tally: Level 7 + 847 XP. That's about one and a half levels lower than my first run, so improvement, yay.

But, I had 5 extra Power, which means there is still some trimming that can be done in the Hinterlands. I think I might be able to get to Skyhold just a hair under level 7. Unfortunately, I didn't keep any saves from the beginning of Haven, so if I want to try some alternatives, I'll have to practically start all over again.

Also, very bummed that in order to do the KE specialization, you have to open both the Fallow Mire and the Western Approach. Same must have been true in my first run, but I had forgotten. That's 16 power just to finish the specialization quest! Bah. I guess it was good I have 5 power extra, but ideally I should have 0 extra.

The regular dagger techniques are disabled, but everything from the assassin and subterfuge trees is unaffected, even if some skills technically are melee based.

Trev and the gang took the fight to the temple of Dumat. The place actually looked like it had already seen a lot of fighting - fires and templars all over the place. Cullen was a little over-eager. Instead of waiting for the team, he plunged straight into combat with several red templars, and then got himself into difficulty.

Spoiler

I'm not sure if that's lyrium or a health potion.

He got a little bit frustrated when Trev kept raising fire walls everywhere. Firewalls are for protection, Cullen, everyone knows that.  :P

"Damn it Inquisitor, do you know how hard it will be to get the smell of smoke out of my furry cloak? It still smells of last night's bacon dinner."

Spoiler

Chill out, Cullen!  :P

Spoiler

I got a rather nice shot of him. I can sometimes see why the ladies admire you so, Ser Templar.

Spoiler

He seemed pretty disappointed about Maddox. For some reason, the Tranquil was working with Samson voluntarily, and killed himself to protect the guy. Hmm, maybe Samson isn't a complete monster if he can inspire that kind of loyalty? On the other hand, Tranquil can't feel emotions, so Maddox couldn't truly grasp horrible actions. Cullen alluded to Meredith's tyranny and Trev thanked the Maker (yet again!) that he was lucky enough to be in the Ostwick Circle. Compared to the Gallows, it was like a holiday resort!

Popped to Val Royeaux to help Josephine with a little problem she's having and met a man whose entire head has been eaten by schleets.

Spoiler

What a sad end!

I love when Josephine figures out that he's actually an assassin, not the noble. She sounds rather formidable! You can see why she's the lady who can break up marriages and start duels.  ^_^

Leliana's looking rather pleased with herself too.

Spoiler

Almost breaking the fourth wall! No wonder - Trev will be taking her route this time. First Inky to do so! He wants to follow Cassandra's wise words "I see what must be done and I do it." So that means sending assassins in to destroy the contract instead of messing around with the war table and silly magistrates and whatnot. Sorry Josie, hopefully you'll forgive him. But think of it this why - now you won't almost die when an assassin sneaks in to kill you!

Everything I wanted to complete before the Winter Palace has now been done! Still need to kill more dragons, do operations and capture the other keeps. Other than that, I think we're pretty much set to advance the plot! Oh, and the Dalish favour. Haven't done that yet. Trev hasn't even visited their camp yet, in case the Dalish get angry at seeing a shem, and set a halla stampede on him!

Saving the best for last, eh, Spork?  ;)

Not, erm, that I'm...biased or anything...

That said, I've heard good things about both but only played all the way through Josie's so far, of the two. I suppose it depends on who you prefer as a character, whether you care that Dorian's a companion and she's an advisor, what you like in the romance arcs, etc. Also worth noting, Josie's a LI for male and female, whereas Dorian's only into men, so if you're looking to switch up genders next time and still want to romance both, that's something to consider.

me: What do you guys think?

Cass: I don't want you to drink from the well

Sera: No way. You're askin' for trouble

Dorian: I wouldn't do it

Morrigan: As I said. I will drink from the well

me: Here's an idea. Why don't we all drink from the well?

everyone: WHAT?

me: We could make it a party. There's plenty in the well to drink

everyone: Since you put it that way, ok.

me: I also brought some munchies

Cass: Oh crap. There's Cory[heus

me: Morrigan? Drink from the well. We can get the rest later.

me: What's wrong Cassandra?

Cass: I'm worried for you. The upcoming fight with Corypheus.

me: Lets go to my quarters before facing Corypheus

The fight with Corypheus is hard. Elvis is slightly injured and barely hurt Corypheus. Cassandra is very concerned. As the fight continues, Corypheus is getting weaker, but Elvis is struggling to stay on his feet. In a desparate move, he uses the anchor to banish Corypheus that results in an explosion. As the smoke clears, Cassandra is seen holding the Inquisitor's head crying. ELVIS IS DEAD

Back at Skyhold, people from all over Thedas pay their respects. Even Celene is in tears when approaching the casket.

In a private ceremony back at his home that he called Graceland, his daughter, Lisa Marie, kneels beside the casket saying I love you daddy.

Months after the death of the Inquisitor, Cassandra rebuilds the seekers. She is still heartbroken her lover is dead

This ends my tenth playthrough. I enjoyed the playthrough.

Today I learned you can't trust milestone save files.

Before starting the Adamant quest, I was torn about which companions I should take with me. Solas was an obvious choice, because of the Fade. I also picked Vivienne because someone mentioned she freaks out in that place.

And then there's Blackwall. Halfway through this quest I realized there was no point in bringing him because A: I was gonna exile the wardens anyway and B: His presence isn't necessary to reason with them.

So it was decided that I'd reload the previous save file and start this quest again, but I kept going just to see Vivienne's reaction to the Fade. It was disappointing, as she was completely unaffected.

And to make everything worse, that milestone save file I was counting on was automatically overwritten by a new one.

I can't sodding believe this.

Solas Interruptus.

I like it. :P My ranking doesn't mean I didn't like the Solas romance, because I did, especially since it was the first one I played. I just had more fun with the other ones and liked them better.
