Today, in Dragon Age, my Gewln Lallvan went too Empire Du Lune to free it from the clatches of the Red Templars, so we could also get Cullen's request done, and then she talked to a bunch of people about becoming a rift mage like her boo Solas. Of course she almost got done closing a bunch a rifts in Empire Du Lune.

Today I tanked a giant in multiplayer as a keeper. I had a full support/survival set up (Disruption field, fade step, fade cloak, barrier). I fade stepped in, used barrier and proceeded to basically use fade step and fade cloak to kite the giant back and forth while dodging its main abilities (and doing nice damage due to upgrades) while the 3 DPS' on my team wailed on him. Most fun I've had and I have to say I miss spirit healer just a little less now.

So... having finished Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts our merry band of travelers returned to Skyhold, where my little elf mage ran all around and talked with everyone she could. Had a wonderful chat with...

Spoiler

So, there was that. Had a couple great chats with Sera and reconfirmed the romance with another great scene where I asked her if she wanted to get married and she spit her drink in my face. ...and after wandering around and talking with everyone and having lots of great cutscenes and conversations, a bazillion new things opened up on the war table! Holy crap.

So, I put Cullen, Leliana, and Josephine to work and, in the meantime, I thought I'd gather the group and go off in search of a wyvern heart for Vivienne, and maybe see if the dalish changed their mind about letting us into an old tomb they found in the Emerald Graves. Cassandra had some pretty heavy things on her mind after our return from the Winter Palace, so I think she was happy to go out and kill things for awhile while she puzzled it through. Sera was agreeable of course, and then I went to the stables to see if Blackwall wanted to come...

Spoiler

So now I'm back at Skyhold, having done those two little things we set out to do, and I'm kinda feeling like I broke my game. I paced it all wrong. I've got all these lengthy war table missions to do, and no places left in the world to explore and loot in the meantime. Been everywhere, done everything, and all that's left is to advance the plot again. I should've done Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts much sooner and saved a couple areas to wander around in, like Emprise de Lion and Hissing Wastes, while my advisors were busy doing their thing. Or maybe I should just not worry about it, heh. it just seems weird to basically go from one plot-advancing quest to the next with nothing in between, because 'in-between' is what I've been doing the most of.

EDIT: Well, I knew the game wouldn't let me down. have about a half hour to kill before Leliana's spies are done her latest war table mission, so I decided to go and chat with her again, before maybe killing some time making new shinies down in Undercroft, and lo and behold, Leliana's given me a new quest. Yay.

EDIT#2: I take back that 'yay'.  Oh Leliana, what became of the eccentric bubblehead who loved shoes, and giggling about Orlesian women with birds in their hair, and night skies full of stars and had a nug for a pet? :(  ... Oh yeah, different Origins playthrough *ahem* nevermind.

My little elf mage went for a walk in the woods today, accompanied by a witch of the Wilds. We saw lots of pretty lights and even a dragon. But it wasn't invited so we closed the door on it. Everyone kept wanting my little elf mage to decide things like she was important or something, but as the pointy-eared one who owns her heart says, "titles are stupid." It sure felt that way because no one liked anything she decided. In the end the witch got thirsty, or maybe she always was, so we found her something to drink... and as a thank you she says we have to kill the party-crashing dragon. Sigh. Being a herald is no picnic.

Continued my third run with a dual dagger rogue. Went to the Hinterlands for a bit. Closed a couple of rifts, gathered some loot, recruited a few agents. Then I went back to Haven and respeced as an archer. I can't stay away from the twang!

I was so excited ... I found the Pont Agur which I completely missed in the first game. What could it be? I wondered and wondered. Then I built that bridge and opened up a whole can of DO NOT WANT. Holy jumping zombie movies, Batman! The intrepid band of travelers got lured in and pulled down by the ever-spawning zombie hoardes in short order ... It was all so Romero-esque and frightfully horrific. I think I could hear Dorian's yellow plaid tearing under the crushing weight of undead bodies. They even pulled down the Iron Bull.

Best TPK, ever.

Is that the place in the Exalted Plains with the ancient elven tower that keeps attacking?

@AshesEleven, It might be. I haven't gone back for another crack at it since that team wipe. I figured I'd level up and come back for another try after rethinking it some.

I made Cole throw a jar of bees at a high dragon. It didn't like it. I spent the next several minutes thinking it had somehow eaten him, after it lunged and instantly KO'd him. Turned out he was just napping in a patch of fire. I resurrected him just as I remembered that Cassandra has a fancy focus ability that gives us all guard points. For the last scrap of the dragon's health, we were invincible!

Solas needs to stop casting barrier on my archer and try protecting the melee fighters. Yeah, I'll blame him. Poor Cole. Cass probably had to carry him back to camp.

Over all though, I'm not doing badly with dragon fights. Just that one bugger in Emprise du Lion (top of the central coliseum). I take Cass, Vivienne and Sera/Dorian/Solas to that fight, whittle down its health until it starts spawning tiny dragons, manage a several rounds of that. And then everyone dies. Cass and Viv hold out pretty valiantly though. I just need to remember to use focus abilities...

Daeni went to the Desert and closed all the rifts there. Found that poor miner's ring. Set up two camps, and found all of the shards in the desert. Then she found what the shards were for. Opening doors.

"Let's see," Daeni said, "Is it behind door number 1, door number two, or door number 3?"

Someone back at camp shouted, "Take the reds."

Daenerys started from the door on the left, and got to the last door before she ran out of shards. What's behind that door? I wonder.

So she went back to the Hinterlands and closed the two rifts that gave her trouble before, but were trouble no more. Eat it, Rage demons! You can't deal with barrier mages on casual, can you? No. Then we got some more bear skins for her next armor upgrade. You know you cannot have too good of armor no matter how easy the level is. The Dragonborn learned this in Skyrim - how far can a San Francisco Giant hit the Dragonborn? Let's say we landed near Whiterun and we did not survive the trip. So Daeni does not want a repeat performance.

We went into the area with the dragon in the Hinterlands to grab the last five shards there. The dragon singed my hair and set my party on fire several times before it flew off to another area. We could see it in its lair, but there were these little young dragonlings running around. Now I managed to get four of the five shards, but Bioware put the one shard on top of the island in the middle and I cannot seem to jump up to the top, and none of my characters clip to the location, making this a very difficult task. Bioware, Y U No put the shard where I can reach? I can see the shard but no path to get it. This means that there is one final door I will not be able to open. Rats! And this is the door that the Tevinter Magister is going to hold the shard and laugh at me. I just know it.

Well off to the Storm Coast to gather some more shards, then back to the desert to unlock that door.

More adventures featuring the soon-to-be Queen of Thedas, Medusa Trevelyan. Hahaha. So pull up a chair. Throw a blanket over your legs to keep warm. This will be very entertaining. Hahaha

Instead of taking my usual suspects with me to meet Hawke, I brought Short Round, Wallwhite and Naggie. Again I have to say that Hawke is a very good looking woman. It was good to see her again. She introduced me to her friend the Warden, Stroud.  Cool guy. He mentioned that the Grey Wardens are in the Western Approach for some reason. Ok. Lets go. Stroud pulls me aside to talk

Stroud: Inquisitor. Your friend who claims to be a Grey Warden doesn't act like one. I mean he seems to give vague answers about stuff when I mentioned things that only Wardens would know. The expression on his face also told me he didn't know that ONLY Grey Wardens can kill an Archdemon

me: Mmmm. I will admit that when questions are asked about the Wardens, he either gives a vague answer or defects the question altogether. Thanks for the heads up. I will keep a closer watch of him.

Stroud: Be careful my Lady. See you in the Western Approach.

Interesting. Hopefully Stroud is wrong and its just a misunderstanding. I will talk with him later. For now I help Crestwood with a few problems.

Back at my house of horrors, I went to the tavern to have a drink. I walk in and everyone says, INQUISITOR. Cool. I remember that show. NORM. Where everybody knows your name.  Hahaha

I walk to the kitchen to talk with the Maker.

me: What's you favorite food to cook?

Maker: Not sure. The easiest to cook is Fennac staek. Its nice and tender not like bear or lurker staek.

me: I will say everything you've cooked so far, I've enjoyed.

Maker: Thank you my Lady. I'm about to head down to the bottom of the mountain to get a bite to eat. I would cook something for myself, but I feel like eating out. Care to join me?

me: I don't mind. What's this place were going to?

Maker: Its called Dragon Ageonald's. The food is excellent.

me: What do they have?

Maker: You can have the Big Dragon Mac Meal. The Quarter Wyvern Pounder meal and my favorite the Double Stack Druffalo burger. Each meal comes with Ale and potato sticks. They cut a potato a certain length and thickness

me: Cool. That Big Dragon Mac sounds good. Lets go.

Later

me: Thanks for that Maker. Let me know the next time you go to eat there, I will tag along.

Maker: Will do my Lady.

I head to Wallwhite to ask him about the Wardens

Wallwhite: You can't be serious? You don't believe I'm a Grey Warden. Has someone filled your head with these lies?

me: Than explain to me why you can't give a direct answer to anyone when asked about the Wardens? You keep dodging the question.

Wallwhite: That's unfair. Its something I really don't like talking about. I'm a Grey Warden that kills darkspawn. What more do you need to know?

me: Fine. You are confined to this area till I get the truth.

Wallwhite: WHAT? I can leave anytime I want.

me: Than leave. I will send word to everyone out there that you're not a Grey Warden.

Wallwhie: You're bluffing.

me: I'm I? Who do you think the people will believe? Ponder that while I take care of a few things

Wallwhite:.............

I head to the Exalted Plains and the Emerald Graves. In both area's I take care of stuff for people while building up my influence. Hahahaha. Pretty soon everyone will bend to my will. Hahahaha

Lets go meet Hawke and Stroud in the Western Approach

As folks know when fighting a dragon, the player or companions take damage when the dragon flaps its wings. That's what happened when I fought the dragon in Hissing Wastes. So I went back and crafted a new weapon and armor for myself. I added Fade-Touched Iron to my weapon which heals 15% of damage taken over 10 seconds and added Fade-Touched Paragon's Luster to my armor which heals 20% of damage taken over 10 seconds.

With the added masterworks to my weapon and armor, I went and fought the dragon in Emprise du LIon and took no damage when it was flapping its wings. Cool

Tune in later to the thread for more of Medusa's adventures.

Well first I tried to play some SWTOR to get started on leveling a new Sith Juggernaut. Failed horribly though because the new Shadow of Revan patch has killed frame rates for everyone. Apparently this has been going on for a couple weeks and the only response from anyone bioware related was a "Its your machine's fault" response.

Played some Inquisition but got bored with my Archer. Tried to start a warrior up but got nauseous as hell after 5 minutes of the screen shaking every time my warrior did anything and proceeded to puke up the tacos I had for lunch. So now I'm laying down and thinking about sacrificing mages to the old gods for an option to remove screen shake from this game.

Wept some more over Solas.  Clung to the pool floatie of optimism in an ocean of tears.

Then booted up my second playthrough, argued with Solas, and flirted shamelessly with Dorian.  Take that, pajama elf.

I defeated Crystal Face, ate some cakes, stared out into the sunset with the newly-elected Divine waifu, and complained that Aunt Viv was not chosen.

Until post-game Solas Hunt DLC is released, I will go and revert to an earlier save just to experience the mission in which the mages are recruited.

Why we can't bang Fiona is beyond me. I wanted to be the Shepard of the Dragon Age universe!

I mean...

Ethreal tried to summon his horse today.

Spoiler

I think it went better then expected.

Also I completed a few treasure maps, and I'm starting to get the knack for finding them all and seeing how many of them give good loot. It's a good thing I have the Game Guide, my canon character in my 3rd playthrough will be a completionist!
