@Spork - as far as I know, it's fine if you complete a mosaic before talking to the guy. It's just actually completing them that was bugged  :P

I've been playing DAI a fair amount in my current playthrough that I need to get back to my current ME playthrough.

I might be in the minority where I've only used a mount to get that power point in the Hinterlands on the farm. My femquisitor believes in running to where she needs to get. It makes her heart stronger and builds up her endurance

I tend to go back and forth, forget where I was, and just start a new playthrough so I don't mess up whatever I was working on. Terrible idea. Think maybe I should just stick with one game at a time, for now

I never use mounts either. This last PT was the first time I really used one and even then it was only in the Wastes. At least you've a practical excuse, though; I'm just in it for the banter  :P And the elfroot.

I am pretty sure there is no issue with all the tiles showing up for that one. I did have 1 tile that was missing on the wall for another though (the one next to the door leading to the garden). I think the community patch fixed that but I don't have it installed anymore. :( Or maybe it only glitches out sometimes.

Here's a pic I took in Olinar's game showing all 3 complete on the first floor:

Edit: Hey, Spork, I forgot to mention earlier....last game I took Bull with me everywhere (all 10 dragons, the Fade, etc) and he did just fine. He needed very little babysitting and survived just about everything the game threw at us. I completely ignored his specialization, maxxed out 2H and loaded up on Vanguard and Battlemaster passives. I was also playing on casual/easy mode.  :D

@Spork - as far as I know, it's fine if you complete a mosaic before talking to the guy. It's just actually completing them that was bugged  :P

Thank you both :)

@Melbella: You know, I actually did the same with Bull in my last game: ignored the ravager skill tree altogether and went into the vanguard tree instead, and I agree; he was totally not (so) squishy. Maybe it's just because I'm still early levels yet, and in fairness to the big guy, those last two despair demons both focused their cold beams on him until he went down. Tough for anyone to stay on their feet in that situation! And it was good too, because it allowed Kubrie to sneak around and get behind the demons for better attacks.

Trying (is the word, very trying) to get to the shard on top of that rocky tower the Ferelden Frostback sat on. Is there a secret way or is it just lots of jumping? because B'wall (LI), IB and Dorian think Utha has taken as much lichen ale as is good for her.

If it's the one I'm thinking of, yes, definitely lots of jumping. Once I found the right way, that's the way I always do it and it's much easier. Looking at the pillar, you start on the right side and work your way up and left toward the shard. There's one jump that's tricky since there is a gap between where you are at and where you need to be. It's about half way up, I think. You actually go past the shard a bit, then turn back toward it for the final one or two jumps. Here's a couple of videos; the first one shows all 4 shards in the area, the second one just has the pillar shard.

Trev is finishing up everything before Here Lies the Abyss. First up was Suledin Keep, which is so covered in red lyrium, he wonders why they actually want to capture the thing. Other than kicking out the templars, of course. Between this and Griffon Keep, next to a tainted abyss, it's like the Inquisition wants to infect its people. Perhaps they'll have to start moving everyone out of Emprise soon.

Then it was onto killing the most beautiful dragon. The lovely Stormrider wasn't too difficult to kill, despite Sera and Dorian's fondness for running under its legs. Maybe they're playing a game of chicken? If there's bets for who gets stepped-on first, Trev wants  to play!  :P

Spoiler

I feel horrible when she dies. But I want everyone in lovely dragon gear. Sorry, dear!

He took a brief trip round to talk to each companion, hearing what they have to say about the  ball, before moving on. Got that interesting little dialogue where Inky asks if Cole likes the masks, to which the spirit replies "Those weren't their faces?"  :P

Cassandra wanted to discuss the Chantry's interest in making her Divine. Maybe it's selfish, but he doesn't want her to do it. Not just because he'd miss her though, he genuinely doesn't think she'd enjoy it. Part of why he loves her is that fierce warrior spirit. You don't get to indulge that with your bum on the holy throne.

Spoiler

Vivienne gave him the important task of tracking down a snowy wyvern heart, so Trev headed to the Exalted Plains (again!) to get one. The lootable skeleton required a bit of searching in the water, since it didn't appear beside the corpse. Then it was off to Duke Bastien, and Trev learned why he never met the man when he was invited to Vivienne's salon that one time.

Spoiler

Maybe I'm a sap, but I always feel bad for Vivienne in that scene. She couldn't have gotten far in the game without being a good actress, but even so...

Trev went to properly introduce himself to the witch in the garden. He seems to have inherited second-hand mistrust from Vivienne. But really, a Circle mage works her way to the top of the pile, just to be cast down by an apostate in rags? Shame on Celene. Morrigan was quite pleasant, and introduced Trev to her unusual but cute little son. Trev asked "will his father be joining us?" to which Morrigan gave a long answer than basically meant "no." Little does anyone know that daddy dearest is up on the ramparts as we speak.  :P

Spoiler

Sadly, he doesn't want to come down and speak to his son. Following in the footsteps of his own dear pa, I see! Please fix the bug, Bioware.

Then to fight Vinsomer! No pictures occured, since the dragon is camera shy.  Literally all of them featured Vinsomer's wing instead of any real part of her. It went fairly smoothly... until she died with the electricity rings still on the party. Naturally, that was bad because they all came running over to Trev after the fight, electrocuting each other in the process. *facepalm*

Spoiler

Pride of the Inquisition.

We do, however, have flower crowns for everyone now! So then we popped over to Val Royeaux to show them off to Josephine. She was disappointed about the House of Repose's contract being destroyed, and shared with him a story. It all turned out good though, and Trev now has a guaranteed place to stay if he ever visits Antiva! Maybe he can check out some of Yvette's fine paintings while he's there!

Flower crowns!

More Dragon Hunter Challenge: How low can you go?

Took on the Fereldan Frostback (L12) on Nightmare with my level 7 KE, Cass, Sera and Solas. Despite having fire resistance up the wazoo and plenty of upgraded fire resistance tonics, this battle was a lot harder than my first run with a level 9 KE. I was feeling the lack of those 2 skill points. Solas didn't have dispel to use for fire fighting and Sera only had Exploding Shot, not Leaping Shot -- all the rest of her points were in Tempest. I also didn't have any perk points to spend on focus upgrades; Thousand Cuts with only one focus bar is pretty pathetic. No one expired on my first run, but this time I think everyone expired more than once, except for Solas, thanks to the one point I put into Guardian Spirit.

I was also a bit light on tier 2 materials, due to all the running away from engagements to avoid XP. Tier 2 armor with tier 1 materials is pretty good, but isn't enough to stop those one-shot kills from the dragon's melee attacks.

Long, ugly, bloody battle, but successful in the end. One down, nine more to go.

Marcus had quite the round of adventures today. He went all kinds of places he wasn't supposed to go. First up: the oh-so-close-but-oh-so-far bag of loot in Redcliffe. He called on his trusty red hart to take him through the invisible walls surrounding the village so he could sneak up on said bag. The first attempt ended with man and mount falling through the world and ending up back where they started. <_< Eh, maybe no galloping next time, yes? But the lakeshore was so pretty!

Spoiler

Next attempt, he decided to go through the lake rather than around it. Apparently out of bounds water isn't like real water and both he and hart were able to breathe it just like it was air. Finally, they crossed the lake to the island where Redcliffe Castle sits. He didn't want to get noticed by the Venatori so he quickly made his way back into the water and headed for the docks.
Spoiler

And lo, upon reaching the fabled shores where the unreachable loot bag lay, his reward:
Spoiler

So totally not worth it. :P Also of note: it is not possible to save the game while out of bounds. I thought I had done so, but when I went to reload, there were no such saves available.

After finally locating the reclusive, lone Grey Warden, Blackwall, Marcus decided it was time to pick a side. No fan of Tevinter, and still unclear on where exactly the Templars had run off to, he decided to recruit the mages to help close the Breach. That meant heading straight into a trap set up by Magister Alexius. But knowing it's a trap ahead of time should mean they'll be prepared, right? Uh, maybe not, but at least that interesting mage Dorian showed up in the nick of time in order to come along.
Spoiler

Alexius wasn't too happy about it though, and was even less happy when Inquisition forces sprung their own trap. As a result, Marcus and Dorian ended up catapulted into the future. A very bleak, ugly future, to be sure.
Spoiler

Luckily, Dorian was at least somewhat familiar with the magic Alexius used and was able to work up a spell on the fly to get them back to the present. Also luckily, they didn't end up as paste. Alexius surrendered without incident when they got back.
Spoiler

Also unhappy about the turn of events in Redcliffe? Ferelden King Alistair. He booted the mages right out on their hineys, so Marcus got to play "Big Da** Hero" and recruit them as allies. Cassandra wasn't happy about that, but Dorian was, so much so that he decided to stick around.
Spoiler

Upon returning to Haven, Marcus had a field day flirting with the new addition, as well as with both Cassandra and Josephine. He's really terrible, isn't he? Well, it's all harmless for now.

Edit: Also discovered (in PT #6) that you can ask Sera to unlock the cell doors in the Chantry basement for you if you aren't a rogue. Hey, after getting totally shafted by the Redcliffe loot bag, I needed those extra goodies! :P

I finished up in the Emerald Graves where I cleared out Chateau d'Onterre and killed an angry dragon. Then I jetted to Val Royeaux to save Josephine's butt from the House of Repose (finally cleared up that mess for her) and hit Emprise du Lion. It was a somewhat busy night.
