Emporium goodies cost a crap ton of gold. Of course, the schematics used to craft Unique Weapons are optional, but they cost a lot! You're better off finding some of the schematics randomly than wasting away 10K+ gold on one schematic. I believe the Unique Weapons schematics are DLC content tied to the Black Emporium.
What Did You Do Today (in the DA 'verse) ? .... oops ;)

Re: Lots of good advice to delay upgrading.
What, and miss out on all the Black Emporium goodness? My lady Trevelyan needs her wannabe-Dalish vallasin removed. When she was younger, she used to hang out with city elves just to get back at her folks for being all traditional and, you know, humany. Getting her face tattooed, in bright green no less, was the capper -- she got grounded for a month. Worst possible time for her mage powers to emerge, though. She accidentally Immolated her room and all her stuffed animals and her V. Tethras books and her posters of the Dalish Underground minstrel troupe went up in smoke. Least of her worries, of course, since off to the nearest Circle Tower she went.
Now that she's dating Sera and spending time talking to Solas about the good old days, the tattoo is just embarrassing, if not downright offensive.
Besides, turns out the nerf is to revert an accidental buff added in the last patch. It doesn't really invalidate the run, since all that would have happened without the accidental buff is the previous fights would have taken longer with more reloads. It wouldn't have changed XP level. If it means future fights are tougher, so be it.

Last night I finished my female Dalish elf DW rogue Nightmare playthrough.
I enjoyed it even more than my first playthrough in many respects.
That Solas romance though, ohhhh boy.
Anyway, I'll make some badass DW Tempest gifs later. So. Much. Fun.
The only thing that disappointed me is that I sort of screwed up the role-playing. I wanted to play a Dalish who was a Pantheon believer and then a nihilist after What Pride, but there weren't many options post-pride to express that view. The only thing you could say to Sera was whether the events were a lie/real or not, but you couldn't really get into how the shift from "These figures were gods" to "These figures were powerful rulers" affected the Inquisitor, mostly due to how late in the game it is.
If I remember right, after the final romance scene with Solas, you should be able to talk to Sera about the vallaslin thing. That gives some more options to express opinions. I remember my Lavellan was feeling pretty bitter about elfy stuff at that point, and I was able to act it out.
Today is a glorious day in the DA 'verse.
I loaded up Maharie's journey and she traveled to the Black Emporium. She stepped up to the Mirror of Transformation and I meticulously took a screenshot of every setting I could take a screenshot of.
I really should to this tonight, at least for every completed Inky I have. If I don't, I'll regret it later. No procrastination! I would've done it last night, but an hour before bed, I thought "I'll go on DAI for an hour". Then there was a patch/update and it took... one hour. Life is so predictible sometimes! ![]()

I was escorting that buffalo to the farm and my squad b-lines it to the nearby rift, I had almost no health potions left but decided to take my chances anyways. In the end everybody died at least 3-4 times each, I survived by taking whoever was alive and reviving somebody else before dying themselves. I still closed the rift because the buffalo was killing everything while I was cheesing the deaths. ![]()

Trev started off the day with the most satisfying thing imaginable.
Then he did the rounds after Adamant, talking to his friends and finding out what they had to say. Sadly, Dorian and Vivienne didn't seem to have any comments, since they were present for it this time (you guys don't want to wax goddamn nostalgic? Aww.
). It turns out that Sera wasn't pleased at all about the Fade (in case no one noticed!) and decided to show her displeasure by throwing things at Trev. Cole was similarly worked up, demanding that Solas bind him with blood magic. This might be the single most ridiculous thing Trev has ever heard. Strangely, Bull's coping method (being hit with a big stick!) made the most sense to Trev. Perhaps he's been spending too much time around Cass. ![]()
Lovely Cassandra has decided to write a book about the events of the Fade.
Those frigging pyjamas. Cass doesn't think her book is good "like it was written by a dimwitted child". Trev doubts that it's that bad, but all the same, he might slip Varric a copy for editting before she tries to get it published anywhere. ![]()
It's a non-stop Cass day, because Cullen is complaining to her about his addiction struggles. Trev is apparently having some feelings about this issue?
But I can't work out what feelings those are? Going to sneeze? Smelled something rotten? Stood on a bee? Saw Oghren naked? That is such a daft face. There are some things even the Black Emporium wouldn't be able to cure! ![]()
Anyway, he stopped by the war table, where Morrigan lured him into a washed-out netherworld. Trev doesn't like this place. It's interesting, sure. It's also a portal into the heart of his fortress! What if Coryfish does find a way to grab one of these mirrors, and ambushes Skyhold on his way to the Maker's comfy chair? There'd be red templars all over his herb garden in a heartbeat,
She then expressed mild disappointment that Alistair was dead. Fiona expressed more that. Why would she care about Alistair, hmmm? It can only be one thing: he owes her money. ![]()
Back at the war table, Leliana received a message from an old friend.
I'm holding out hope that he, Merrill and Fenris will join Isabela in MP. And then a dlc. Shhh, it'll happen.
Trev decided to finish up his operations, which meant a trip to the Approach to kill darkspawn. Little did he know that there are worse foes to face. Bugs. ![]()
Moving on: ladders that you can only descend. So... how do we get up them in the first place?
And the worst by far: we couldn't interact with Servis. After he was defeated, Trev couldn't opt to arrest or leave him so we just had to move on. I came back later for Blackwall's item, and Servis has now disappeared. The Venatori returned though. That means that not only is the Approach's darkspawn quest doomed to remain incomplete, I don't get to judge Servis. Trev is the recruiter Inky too, so I really wanted to grab him. ![]()
The bugs continued in the Exhalted Plains.
I really should opt to kill his spirit friend on one PT. Maybe on my brutal Inky. She's not going to have time for spirit nonsense. Trev on the other hand is a big softie. This quest was also a bit of a wake-up call for him, so he dispatched Leliana's agents to grab an amulet for Cole. He doesn't want his friendly spirit being corrupted like that. ![]()
He still needs to do personal quests for Cole, Varric and Leliana. Blackwall and Iron Bull's haven't triggered yet, but perhaps a little more approval will fix that problem? Blackwall wasn't exactly happy with the Adamant conclusion.

"In your heart you know the fake Fiona was stupid or if not you just cheated to win...Maybe?"
Well I decided to hop over to the Mire and do a garbage ton of quests there and surprisingly I kicked the maps butt like nothing. I was able to take all of the beacons, crash all of the gates and beat the Avaar leader.

I made the archers my main objective. After I crushed them i went after the soldiers. After I crushed them the boss was the only guy left. Since I have been building Solas as a Barrier only type mage (like I did with Vivianne as Chasimess) it felt like an easy fight.
By the way I found fade Touched Summerstones and Blu Vitrol here.

The fade touched Summerstone was on a giant but kind of small boulder around some other normal summer stones while the fade touched Blue Vitrol was on the way to the Avaar Boss around a patch of normal blue vitrols.
I felt like I didn't have much of anything else to do other than portal bash the portals in Hinderlands which are a pain (level 12-18 if your at certain levels and certain potions would be of big help like fire resistance or rock armor), the one fort in Hinderlands (which i'll do later), the carta dungeon (which I can't get right now at the moment until later?), and the spider cave in the oasis (which may be hard since the spiders are level 12's and there are tons of them). So i decided to do the final Haven quest.
I'm still surprised the boss troop still follow you up to the chantry and nowhere further. Idiots. Lol.

Good luck with those dragons now that you're continuing with the patch, Charlie!
And those DW Tempest gifs... ![]()
Ahem. Anyway, I did the same thing you did, Spork - after just about 40 screenies, my next elf is absolutely going to be Revas 2.0
Honestly, the lighting in and of itself was worth it.
I actually decided to start a new PT, though...with the wrong world state, of course. I was planning to use my weird one where the decisions are all over the place and don't exactly make much sense, and used...not that, by accident
I was messing around in the Keep so it's at least a new WS, but I forgot to export the other one and ended up liking my Inky. Or, well, was satisfied enough after an hour that I just went with it. Which reminds me, meet Aud Cadash!
She's a bit grumpy, being a "shifty Carta dwarf" as Varric so kindly put it, but she's willing to help out. Beats letting the blasted hole in the sky kill us all, anyway.
Changing things up from Rielen (may he rest in peace...get it? Rest? His save died in the Fade? puns) the rogue archer, Revas the DW Tempest, and Eirin the KE, I decided to finally play a sword and shield warrior again. I'm thinking Templar, just so I'm given a solid reason not to drag Cassandra around with me for every little thing
I also like the abilities, so that helps.
For the team, I'm thinking Sera, Dorian and...Bull? Maybe Cole? Not sure. Thoughts?

Replace "Hi Ho" with "SKYHOLD!" from SNOW WHITE AND THE SEVEN DWARVES
First order of entering a new place...

Talk to people...

The inquisition came up with a plan to come up with a new plan, varric came with help, Sera was like wtf about what happened in Haven, Cassandra was stumped on what to make of Haven but is glad that Malaioniss has confidence in her, Cullen is still stressing over the haven ordeal, Malaioniss kept Cole (since I have been using him), and Iron Bull gave me moral opinion. So Malaioniss decided to meet this help:

It turns out to be the bad*** archer Kelbaton who is still a stick in the mud. He did mention he killed Corypheus. However not only did he kill Corypheus...
Of course Cassandra wasn't a happy camper about that.

Malaioniss was sucsessful in mediating the fight and played impartial but tried to cheer up Cassandra's confidence in the maker.
Unfortunatly I still got more people to talk to.
BTW I did get the imporium myself. I haven't thirly checked it out. However I am using one of the new thrones for Malaionis.
Also BTW as far as whoever was doing a mod for 'consistency' reasons shouldn't my Corypheus have markings of a arrow wound or even have his left eye be blind? is there a way to even edit Corypheus?

... Who is she going to romance? I like to include the LI on quests where I can. I gotta say I'm on my third PT in a row where I've hardly included Sera in anything, and I'm kinda missing her antics. So far Varric hasn't given me much of a reason to keep bringing him anywhere. Maybe it's not his fault and he just doesn't have much of a dynamic with Bull and Solas? Anyway, I'd suggest Sera because I miss her myself. Though Cole is also an interesting companion too. He really gets into people's heads.
Thanks! I'm definitely leaning towards dragging poor, unsuspecting Sera everywhere. I hadn't thought far enough ahead to who Aud would romance, though. A terrible idea on my part, considering the last time that happened I ended up flirting with everyone and romancing someone I'd already romanced before
I'm thinking maybe Blackwall this time? He and Bull are the only ones she can romance that I haven't already played through and I've been meaning to finish his romance. I doubt she'd have a problem with the whole "I killed people and lied about who I am but hey look at my magnificent beard" thing ![]()
Of the characters I've brought him along with, I thought Varric was great with most of them. Admittedly, he's always been a favourite of mine and I haven't kept him around either of those two a lot. I'd think he and Bull would have plenty to bicker banter about, though, given the little incident of Qunari attacking Kirkwall. And living in a tavern. That seems to be big with the companions ![]()
His banter with Cass, Blackwall and Dorian are fun. Sera, too, as long as you like disasters waiting to happen, heh. As you said, Cole's always a good one to have around to get into people's heads (because they all love that so very much, right?), and if you don't mind Vivienne verbally eviscerating half the team, she's got some amusing banter about the book he's writing with her as a character.

In every PT, I either did the Druffy the Druffalo quest after closing the rift or I didn't do it at all. It wasn't until recently that I learned you are supposed to use Druffy as a tank to soak up aggro at that nasty rift on the stream, so your usually-underleveled party can survive.

I am waaaay behind on posting pics, but Marcus just did that too. First time any of my quizzies have executed anyone. I really got a kick out of Sera and Dorian together. Bull went everywhere with Jaega (romance) but most of the time I leave him at the tavern until his mission pops up since
potion guzzler. I do like the chess game between him and Solas however, and he also has interesting comments for the dwarfy ruins. Varric and Dorian together are good too, but you might want another warrior so you aren't the only one getting mobbed. Maybe BW, Varric/Sera, Dorian?

I'm pretty sure I've never done Adamant/Fade and WEWH on back to back nights before, because usually I clear a whole zone or two in between. But for Marcus' speed run that is just what I did. I'm not very good at speed running, apparently, since I can't seem to not stop every 5 seconds to pick up something. But, I did ok for a first timer, I think. There was loot left behind that I didn't even try to pick up. Yes, it felt wrong.
I will make up for it, I promise, when I go back in time!
Speaking of back in time, a quick review of Marcus' last few days. First, he convinced Varric to help him win points with Cassandra.
Then he had an interesting chat with Iron Bull. Note: make sure you have this discussion before adding the sparring ring. Otherwise, it gets a bit crowded.
While Varric was still working on the new book, Marcus helped Cass track down Lord Seeker Lucius. Love the face he makes when he realizes she is making a joke.
Then of course, he tries to put the moves on her.
He is such a smoothie. That line would totally work on me.
Finally, the book was finished:
Awwww.....next up, Marcus finally gets the girl.

Level 17??????
I don't think I reached that until late Act 2 or early Act 3. I must know your secrets for my next DA2 PT as a mage
I know I quoted you once and mentioned that I haven't done anything different to reach a high level then what I've done before. I may of found an answer. I just past level 20 a short time ago and still haven't done any main quests yet. I still have a few quests to do for companions. I also noticed that the fetch quests that require the return of an item to its owner have given me higher experience points then what I remembered the last time I played DA2. So its possible those 2 things may make a difference.

Dhreya did it at level 11 or 12. I always brought Cole or Sera and just used their stealth to sneak past enemies. The few times we engaged enemies it was bloody death or we just waited around while they killed each other.
I need to post the screenie I took outside the Dwarven Burial Grounds. Red templars, wyverns, and gurns were engaged in a battle royale right outside the entrance. There was loot and bones everywhere when I walked out
We just walked right up, gathered all the goods and continued on our path ![]()

A lot of good gets done because of it, Inquisition and Qunari working together to save Denerim from a Venatori raid, stabilizing Orlais so the Empress' army can regroup, working with the Wardens to fight demons, to name a few. But damn did I feel terrible for making Bull sacrifice his mercenary family like that. Holden killed more Snofleur than he was comfortable with in order to do this (why is this game so cheap on the amount you get for selling things? That is my greatest farming nightmare. I fear it so much that I have actually trained myself to remove my hands from keyboard/mouse after each F9.
Did you stand at one node, or check several? In the tunnel section, there are four nodes within easy walking/Fade Step distance of each other. I visit all four before reloading. Reduces the tedium a bit.
If you clear the "left" rift near the Tower Camp, there are something like nine nodes in an easy loop of walking/jumping. That would be an even better place for farming FT Silverite.
