Team Ginger Bro didn't get much play last night.  I went to the gym.  Now I'm all hurty from lifting weights (gotta get my sexy on for the two weeks of warm weather Chicago will get before I burrow myself down in a winter coat again.  LOL).  Ugh.

TGB did scrape together enough money to  buy that one nifty looking legendary staff schematic with the three snakes, whose name I've promptly forgotten.  Because I'm an old.  Holden killed more Snofleur than he was comfortable with in order to do this (why is this game so cheap on the amount you get for selling things?  Why is it that I make a staff that does more damage and is more epically awesome than any legendary one and it only sells for 3 gold?  Why do you hate fair transactions, Bioware??).

Uh, cuz crafting loops to break the game economy are like the first exploit everyone posts about on Reddit? ;)

I don't reddit..  And have no idea what a crafting loop is.  I told you, I'm an old.

So dead that Dorian wouldn't even tell his mortalitasi friends about you? ... there is a dragon at the end, after all.

Hehe, I forgot about the dragon. I'd just sneak past her, since she's fast asleep. Unless she wakes up when you get too close? In which case, I'll be using someone as bait

Where's Joker when you need him?

Dhreya did it at level 11 or 12. I always brought Cole or Sera and just used their stealth to sneak past enemies. The few times we engaged enemies it was bloody death or we just waited around while they killed each other.

I need to post the screenie I took outside the Dwarven Burial Grounds. Red templars, wyverns, and gurns were engaged in a battle royale right outside the entrance. There was loot and bones everywhere when I walked out  We just walked right up, gathered all the goods and continued on our path

And you can sneak past the dragon at the end. I've done it for every PT since my first one.

Good to know. I'll probably be around the same level, so I'll try what you did with stealth. I had no idea there were so many enemies that you stumbled upon such a battlefield. I'd love to see that screenshot :P

That is my greatest farming nightmare. I fear it so much that I have actually trained myself to remove my hands from keyboard/mouse after each F9.

Did you stand at one node, or check several? In the tunnel section, there are four nodes within easy walking/Fade Step distance of each other. I visit all four before reloading. Reduces the tedium a bit.

If you clear the "left" rift near the Tower Camp, there are something like nine nodes in an easy loop of walking/jumping. That would be an even better place for farming FT Silverite.

It was not fun, but luckily my self-loathing was short-lived. I just went to the Leontine Ring -- where you fight Highland Ravager -- and stood at one node, which is probably why the process became so automatic. Next time I'll run around a bit and maybe I'll be less quick to hit that F9 key right away.

Yep, I didn't think of sneaking past dear Sandy. When I approached to fight her in my last game, I had to get pretty close before she woke up, and there's lots of room to sneak around. You may not even have to go into stealth... but, you know, don't take that on faith

Joker is... hey, yeah, where is that guy?

Varric: One more for the dwarf

Sebastian: One more for the maker

Varric: That's it. I've had it

director: What is it now Varric?

Varric: That line is meant for me and only me. If you have the others say something similiar, I want to redo my contract. Come on Hawke. Lets go to the next quest.

Merrill wants a tool to fix her mirror. Ok. Her clan really don't like her. That's a big ugly looking spider. ah ha. Crushing prison will fix that. Put that in your pipe and smoke it. Nothing can break free of my crushing prison

Aveline: I need you to get Donnic over to my place for some fun

me: What? Why don't you ask him yourself?

Isabela: She's shy. That's cute

Aveline: Shut your mouth ******

Isabela: You're just jealous I'm getting some and you're not

me: Enough of this crap. I'll help you, but I believe you would have better luck at the Blooming Rose

later

me: With that smile I guess Donnic had his way with you

Aveline: He did. Now get out my office

me: Try and help someone and this is the thanks I get.

me: What do you want?

Arishok: Someone took my boom boom.

me: Ah you poor baby. Would you like the Hawke get it back for you?

Arishok: Yes. Hopefully you don't die human

me, Isabela, Sebastian, Fenris: Raaaaaaaaaaaaaalph

me: I feel a little better.

elf: Are you the Hawke? You have enemies.

me: What kind of crazy are you?

elf: I wanted the city to go boom, but instead everyone is throwing up.

me: Well I will kill you so that no one else can

me: You lied about your boom boom.

Arishok: I know. I've been a bad hornhead

me: Next time you have a problem, get someone else

Sebastian: My mother's friends killed my family

me: It looks like demons played a role. Let see what's going on

Desire demon: Would you like to have power?

me: Of course. I need power to run the appliances in my house.

Desire demon: I don't mean that kind of power mortal. Nevermind. I'll just kill you

me: Wrong answer ugly

Desire demon: What? You think I'm ugly. That's the cruelest thing any mortal has said to me

me: Yeah, yeah. Cry me a river. Now you die

Sebatian: Thanks for helping Hawke. I will offer my services to you

me: I can think of a lot of services you can preform

Sebastian: You got the wrong Idea. I need to take a shower. A very cold, cold shower

I made it to level 21 with about half of Act 2 left to complete

I dramatically changed a new tapestry in Dragon Age Keep, and I'm starting a new playthrough! I'm excited to see what differences there are. I changed key decisions; like Alistair and Morrigan having a "God baby" with him, and Enora & Alistair ruling together. I also changed Bethany's fate.

Totally worth it to be able to recreate your favorite faces on new inquisitors. Aud looks great, by the way :) ... Who is she going to romance? I like to include the LI on quests where I can. I gotta say I'm on my third PT in a row where I've hardly included Sera in anything, and I'm kinda missing her antics. So far Varric hasn't given me much of a reason to keep bringing him anywhere. Maybe it's not his fault and he just doesn't have much of a dynamic with Bull and Solas? Anyway, I'd suggest Sera because I miss her myself. Though Cole is also an interesting companion too. He really gets into people's heads. :D

If you used the face maker in the black emporium I do agree this thing is pretty darn helpful if you oopsed on your face or wanted to give it extra pizzaz. I was able to fix Malaioniss's jawline so he looks a heck alot better now.

By the way....Is it me or does Zenon's voice actor sounds like Bill Nighy? (UNDERWORLD TRILOGY). Obviously they got a different voice actor from the Zenon in DA 2. He sounded more husky and older. In game I found in interesting that he "lent the Monteliyets a stone years ago" and wonders if "they still have it....*laughs* ".

Thanks! I'm definitely leaning towards dragging poor, unsuspecting Sera everywhere. I hadn't thought far enough ahead to who Aud would romance, though. A terrible idea on my part, considering the last time that happened I ended up flirting with everyone and romancing someone I'd already romanced before  I'm thinking maybe Blackwall this time? He and Bull are the only ones she can romance that I haven't already played through and I've been meaning to finish his romance. I doubt she'd have a problem with the whole "I killed people and lied about who I am but hey look at my magnificent beard" thing :P

Of the characters I've brought him along with, I thought Varric was great with most of them. Admittedly, he's always been a favourite of mine and I haven't kept him around either of those two a lot. I'd think he and Bull would have plenty to bicker banter about, though, given the little incident of Qunari attacking Kirkwall. And living in a tavern. That seems to be big with the companions

His banter with Cass, Blackwall and Dorian are fun. Sera, too, as long as you like disasters waiting to happen, heh. As you said, Cole's always a good one to have around to get into people's heads (because they all love that so very much, right?), and if you don't mind Vivienne verbally eviscerating half the team, she's got some amusing banter about the book he's writing with her as a character.

I am meaning to try Varric myself. For Rubbleocke (male 2 H male dwarf) I intend to always drag Varric, Iron Bull and maybe Cassandra and my romance may be hopefully Harding. It will be a stereotype type group but it may be enjoyable.

However I personally love taking Iron Bull and Sera with anyone. I like how Sera teases Vivianne, comes up with do wacky combo attacks with iron Bull (example: Iron Bull "How about I pick up you, launch you, and you death from above the guys?" Sera: "How about when you do that you say 'wompaloff!' "), Solas tries to get Sera to unleash her inner magic, gets into Dorian's subjects of tavinter life, and compares lives with Cassandra. For Iron Bull I like how how Vivianne pesters Iron Bull to mind his manners and to clean himself up a bit, Cole is concerned about Iron Bull's love of killing, Solas is worryful about the potential Qun conversion and they play chess (humans VS qunari. example: human = King. Qunari = Arishock), as I mentioned above about Sera, Iron Bull treats Dorian mostly with respect despite Dorian being a 'vint', and compares the Qun life to the seekers life with Cassandra.

In every PT, I either did the Druffy the Druffalo quest after closing the rift or I didn't do it at all. It wasn't until recently that I learned you are supposed to use Druffy as a tank to soak up aggro at that nasty rift on the stream, so your usually-underleveled party can survive.

I still been meaning to take the druffalo to bust that portal but I seem to always not use it and do the druffalo quest after I portal bust that one portal in "PORTALS AT THE FARM". with either Vlah'Nu or Rubbleocke i'll give it a shot.

I am waaaay behind on posting pics, but Marcus just did that too. First time any of my quizzies have executed anyone. Since he exiled the Wardens, turning Erimond over to them wasn't an option, and he really didn't like the idea of having to feed and shelter the dude in prison for who knows how long. So, off with his head! :D

I really got a kick out of Sera and Dorian together. Bull went everywhere with Jaega (romance) but most of the time I leave him at the tavern until his mission pops up since  potion guzzler. I do like the chess game between him and Solas however, and he also has interesting comments for the dwarfy ruins. Varric and Dorian together are good too, but you might want another warrior so you aren't the only one getting mobbed. Maybe BW, Varric/Sera, Dorian?

Going to upload pics now, and figure out what to post about Marcus' speed run romance.

I know the feeling. I am eating my AA batteries for my camera like crazy. One of the reasons why I think I have been is because one time I tried taking a picture and forgot to take the flash mode off and covered the flash so since then I think I may have a power problem.I tried to find more but I mostly found burnt AA batteries. ><. Oh well. Lol.

I know I quoted you once and mentioned that I haven't done anything different to reach a high level then what I've done before. I may of found an answer. I just past level 20 a short time ago and still haven't done any main quests yet. I still have a few quests to do for companions. I also noticed that the fetch quests that require the return of an item to its owner have given me higher experience points then what I remembered the last time I played DA2. So its possible those 2 things may make a difference.

If this is pertaining to DA 2 yeah I do go above level 20 late in the game. Not to mention for LEGACY and MARK OF THE ASSASSIN being around level 20+ is not a bad thing because some of the side quests in either DLC can kick your *** like the Avaar alter in the MARK OF THE ASSASSIN DLC because the arcane horror has frost breath which WILL KILL YOU IN ONE HIT.

Hehehe Marcus's "oh, you're joking" face is wonderful

Bull has something to say about dwarfy ruins? That's a bit of a surprise, but then, I've never really brought him with me. Like you said, he drinks potions like there's no tomorrow, and on NM that can be...problematic.

I'll almost certainly be bringing Sera everywhere, since it's been a while and I just finished a PT with Varric. So I suppose I'll go with Dorian and switch between BW and Bull until I figure out who to romance. Thanks for the input!

On a totally not at all related subject, how dead would one be if they rushed to get to Skyhold, opened Hissing Wastes as soon as possible, then tried to do the Tomb of Fairel quests severely under-leveled on NM?

Agreed. I got a big kick out of this picture...

KXCLQZK.jpg

He looks like he has a "Oh...sh**" look on his face like he saw his grandparents doing it or something....Lol.

Now about the Iron Bull thing I had that happen to me too. When I was running Chasimess Winters I always took Iron Bull, Solas, and flip flopped between Blackwall and Sera. The conversations for the ruins in the Hissing Wastes were cool. iron Bull would always see the ruins on how well they were build from the inside and how they can repel attacks from the inside and outside. He instantly knew that the ruins were pure dwarf made. Solas wondered how he knew about the construction and Iron Bull retorted that he didn't knew 100% all that well but knew from a tactical perspective that if you were to be ever invaded from a large imposing army that you would need your vault, castle, fort, kingdom built a certain way to protect yourself from invaders in case they may try to defeat you and what pros and cons you should and shouldn't have. Solas completely saw the logic in Iron Bulls conversations about how the dwarf ruins were built from a war perspective and not a history perspective.

I'm on my 4th PT now, and planning on sacrificing the Chargers for the first time. Not looking forward to it, but... gotta do it once.

I did that for Draven Vollsa (third playthrough). I was fine with beating Draven the way I did. While playing as Draven I wasn't really using Iron Bull (and was mainly playing and controlling Sera 80% of the time minus dragon slaying and portal busting) I decided to do it. I felt like I didn't get much out of it but it seemed like it made sense for the Draven side of things. Draven and iron Bull were on so so terms so it made sense for Draven to be all like "f the charges, Let's get the qunari army here". 1st PT was Amolla Vollsa. I didn't know what to expect so losing the charges felt meh to me. Vyre Dite was very ally friendly so she didn't want to sacrifice the charges. 4th PT was Chasimess Winters (First NIGHTMARE completion). Since i always took him everywhere I went (and almost romanced him) I didn't want to sacrifice the charges. I don't plan to for Malaioniss since he is on my list to romance if I cannot do Dorian. I am still running a few other characters. Lylia On I intend to have her romance Sera but unsure about the whole sacrifice ship/charges part. Rubbleocke I was tempted into not recruiting Iron Bull at all (I'm role playing here. My dwarf hates qunari people). Meltelwin I am unsure. Vlah'Nu I may actually do the whole save ship thing since way back in DAO I intended to have her as a snooty elf mage so i'll make her a snooty elf mage in DAI so it would make sense.

Uh, cuz crafting loops to break the game economy are like the first exploit everyone posts about on Reddit? ;)

I equally hate that myself. I think even getting the discount perks won't help much either. I do agree about the quoted comment to where I wound up making this bad*** armor for Chasimess that she wore forever until late in the game she got something much better. When I went to sell it, it wasn't worth tar. I still wonder how the bloody hell in my first few PT's that I made crazy bank because I wound up with like 400,000,000 or something.

Hehe, I forgot about the dragon. I'd just sneak past her, since she's fast asleep. Unless she wakes up when you get too close? In which case, I'll be using someone as bait

I did that a few times. I was able to investigate the dwarf dungeon to complete the dwarf ruins mission without fighting the dragon when I played Draven Vollsa. I killed the dragon later on for different reasons.

Nice. Hopefully you post more moments of your current DA 2 playthrough.

I had some good stuff going on with Kelbaton. I am a bit fuzzy with them but i'll try to put them out:

Sebastian: "Do you believe in the maker?"

Fenris: "No."

Sebastian: "Why is that?"

Fenris: "Well i just don't."

Sebastian: "Well I always believe in the maker. I believe the maker watches everyone."

Fenris: "So the maker watches those that become slaves."

Sebastian: "What?"

Fenris: "The maker watches people get captured and is made into slaves."

Sebastian: "Well i uh-"

Fenris: "That's why i don't believe in the maker."

Later conversation

Sebastian: "You know how you said you don't believe in the maker because the maker allows people to become slaves?"

Fenris: "That's right."

Sebastian: "Well the maker still watches over them in hopes that they will overcome and persevere."

Fenris: "But why didn't the maker come down and strike the slavers and not let those people to roam free."

Sebastian: "Well...maybe like you it was the makers will to let you and those slaves to become what they were."

Fenris: *Scoff* "Makers will."

Later conversation

Sebastian: "I was thinking that maybe it was the maker that gave you your powers."

Fenris: "But I didn't get these from the maker but from my master."

Sebastian: "But you do use it to do good now do you?"

Fenris: "I don't follow."

Sebastian: "You have used your powers to strike down slavers and free slaves. Maybe that is the makers will."

I am pretty sure there was more. Again I am a bit fuzzy on this conversation but I loved the debates between Fenris, Sebastian and Kelbaton about the maker, the maker towards slaves and mages.

I dramatically changed a new tapestry in Dragon Age Keep, and I'm starting a new playthrough! I'm excited to see what differences there are. I changed key whenever lime Alistair, and Morrigan having a "God baby" with him.

Cool. I would like to read how this DAI run goes.

I should get back to Lylia On because Alistar is my warden ally not Logain or Stroud. Would be interesting on how this goes.

I have it on PS4 and PC(I mainly play on the PS4), and honestly, I prefer the game without any mods besides mods that give extra incentives. If I can't play my own Inquisitor without mods, that means I can never truly like them with honesty.

I'm on my 4th PT now, and planning on sacrificing the Chargers for the first time. Not looking forward to it, but... gotta do it once.

I did sacrifice the Chargers once, but I had to reload and save them again since I had an open war table operation that got removed but didn't free up the advisor doing it. So, technically I did side with the Qunari after all.....

Hehehe Marcus's "oh, you're joking" face is wonderful

He looks like he has a "Oh...sh**" look on his face like he saw his grandparents doing it or something....Lol.

LOL....I love that comparison. He was definitely very shocked that Cass would even attempt to make a joke.

I finally got all my pics uploaded. Man did that take forever last night; I didn't even get a chance to play at all. :pinched: Will post more of Marcus' romantic adventures shortly.

Question: how tough is Samson if you don't weaken his armor? I am playing on Normal this run, and Marcus just leveled up to 17 (I think).

Since BE was released, I had to go back and tweak Dorian's future beau Dhiren (2H warrior, future Champion cause it's good to be Champion). His beard seemed to contrast against his skin enough in the Fade CC but of course it wasn't enough in daylight so I had to make him lighter since I didn't want to change his hair color. I also tweaked his forehead a little.

Top pic, left side was Red Templars and wyverns were fighting & the two wyverns on the right had just killed a gurn. Next shot another gurn had come up and joined the fight (we took out one of the wyverns while everyone and everything was distracted lol). I didn't even capture all of the mayhem. So Cass wants the ideal romance, eh? Marcus was determined to deliver just that, and more. While Cullen and the others prepared to assault Adamant, Marcus decided to go shopping. First, he checked in with Bonny Sims to see if she could help him out. She didn't have what he was looking for, but was able to direct him to some merchants in Val Royeaux who would. First up, flowers. Not only did they have to be ideal, they had to survive the trip back to Skyhold. The shop owner said she had just the thing and, for the Herald of Andraste, the delivery wouldn't even cost any extra.

Spoiler

So, flowers. Check.

Next up, candles. Skyhold had tons of candles everywhere but they were just too blah. Marcus needed something much better than just to see by. A merchant round the corner and up the stairs from the florist had just what he needed:

Wait...only one?! He needed way more than just one candle, even if it was "The Most Romantic Candle in Thedas." Luckily, that one was just the display model :P so Marcus was able to buy two whole cases of the things and lug them back to Skyhold. So, candles. Check.

Last thing he needed was some poetry. The library at Skyhold was filled with books, but most of them were boring old histories of people he didn't care about. Not even the cobweb-filled basement library was any help. Most of the stuff down there was just arcane gibberish that made little sense to him, and that was if it was in a language he could understand. He was starting to get desperate, until he remembered that sky-fearing dwarf back in Redcliffe. He had some books to sell. Maybe one of them was a book of poetry? So, off he went in a rush before Cullen could tell him how the assault prep was coming. But when he got there, all he got was bad news: all the bookseller's stock was missing or stolen or lost or...just gone.
Spoiler

This was terrible news, especially since the dwarf said he DID have a book of poetry in his collection. But, ever hopeful, Marcus was determined to find it. Once he discovered the merchant's path to Redcliffe, he decided to call in some backup. He might be looking for just a simple book, but the dwarf's cart appeared to have been lost smack in the middle of bear country.  How embarrassing it would be to have to fight a bear for a book....and lose.

Spoiler

Finally! Book of poetry, check.

It was time to sweep Cass off her feet

Or at least make her giggle like a school-girl.

The rest is censored.

I love the similarity between this scene and the scene where Dorian circles around the quizzy in his room.

Alrighty then....speed run through Adamant and the Fade, exile the Wardens, and lop off Erimond's head. Next up: the Winter Palace. I normally don't bring Cass since I know she hates it, but of course this time I did since: girlfriend.

Spoiler

Marcus is easily my most popular quizzy. All my previous ones lost 10 approval points immediately, while he gained 5 instead. He was almost max'ed out before climbing the trellis the first time.
Spoiler

He also remembered to switch into his armor this time. :P

And proceeded to wrap all the nobles around his little finger. "Remember to smile." He decided he didn't like any of the three main players much, so "convinced" them all to get along and do things his way. B)
Spoiler

With that out of the way, he decided to try his luck with Cass again. She was much tougher to convince than the others had been but she couldn't resist his charm in the end. ^_^

Next up: power farming (or maybe buying?) to get to the Arbor Wilds

I kind of was looking for somthing and am going to see if I got any responses on "Stuck on quest" because as i mentioned in a few posts ago when I was in the Hinderlands I did a garbage ton of quests. Well....One of them was killing one of Cassandra's targets for her "UNFINISHED BUSINESS" mission. that was between the game time of 5 to 10 GT hours. Since I'm roughly 23 GT hours I just got the mission and well...the guy being dead isn't confirming for "kill X guy at Hinderlands". I am not a happy camper about it. Cole: "We can camp here". Shut up Cole! Cole: "I like to camp". GRRR!!! Lol.

Anyway...

true but its still about 2 hours away and to me it takes away the realism of how my guy looked to start, so it has to be perfect the first time, luckily I managed someone decent, and the habit of keep starting over wore thin, I just don't think I can do anything better on the ps4 version, no mods to work with

Well I have been playing the XBOX360 version and I am a mod free type person. I am tempted on trying to dig up a scar pack or something. Just tattoos is a bummer to me. I can still make good characters regardless if I put enough time into them. I'm still happy on reworking Malaioniss. I still love the buck teeth but really needed to fix his back jaw. It's noticable in certain pictures like this one...

Mally_04_zpsb4gdul4n.jpg

Talk about 'blocky'.

I have it on PS4 and PC(I mainly play on the PS4), and honestly, I prefer the game without any mods besides mods that give extra incentives. If I can't play my own Inquisitor without mods, that means I can never truly like them with honesty.

Agreed here. Regardless of what I can or can't get out of mods I am still happy with the way I make my character. I am still ehhhh with Lylia On because she looks kind of plain to me and i swear one of you posters or a poster on another thread made a near exact copy of her...

Lyllia_08_zpsqxtxuljp.jpg

I still intend to finish her but man...maybe I should of spent more time trying to make her more distinct like how I made Kaetlissa way back in DAO...

DAO_Kaetlissa02_zpstr1gmfyc.jpg?t=143096

Almost same look but something about her just jumps out me more about her.

I did sacrifice the Chargers once, but I had to reload and save them again since I had an open war table operation that got removed but didn't free up the advisor doing it. So, technically I did side with the Qunari after all.....

Hmmm...I did have Draven save the qun but I remember reloading old save files to try to find a way to take a picture of Draven Vollsa so I am unsure if that is why this has not registered in my Dragons keep. I do have the "Chose to save the qun battleship" but not the second option for Iron Bull. Unless there's something else i need to do to get whatever the second choice since the first choice is "friends with iron Bull".

I at times am on super late posting close to 100 pics myself. I sharpen, crop, shrink then save. It takes me a garbage amount of time to do it lol.

As far as would it be hard to beat Samson...I don't think it would be super hard...I don't know..All I know is On NIGHTMARE he does this insane continuous MIGHTY BLOW type attack which I swear is a instant kill nonstop for a short period of time. He does this "GWAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!" thing then swing swing swing swing swing swing on and on thing for a bit until he finally runs out of steam. in other difficulties he was easy but man...on NIGHTMARE...ugh...like the templars weren't bad enough.

Well Malaioniss is going to be off to the Storm Coast in hopes to get the Tempest specialization. It's bad*** for bow rouges since I used it for Sera on my Sera....i mean Draven PT.

I better go before Malaioniss pulls a Kelbaton on me like how Kelbaton pulled one on Corypheus. Lol.

I don't reddit..  And have no idea what a crafting loop is.  I told you, I'm an old.

I don't believe it for a second.  -_-

How about an example of a crafting loop, simplified for the sake of brevity?

Imagine you could brew a potion of "Improved crafting". It increases the efficacy of any crafted item by a couple of percentage points. Seems harmless, right? Well, what if one of the things you can craft is a ring of "Improved potion making"? It increases the efficacy of a potion by a couple of percentage points. Still seems harmless, right? This is how the loop would go: first make the potion. Then, quaff the potion and make a ring. Then, while wearing the ring you just made, make a better potion. Then, quaffing the better potion, make a new slightly better ring. Rinse and repeat. Finally, when you have a potion of improved crafting by 100000%, make a badass sword worth a kajillion gold. And, since the ring is permanent, you can remake that ultimate potion over and over again, and make the badass sword over and over again, and cash in at the pawnshop.

A 2% buff adds up when you multiply by a lot of loops: 1.02 x 1.02 x 1.02 x 1.02 x 1.02 ... do that 349 times and you get 100000%

BW worked hard to make sure no such loop could happen in DA:I: resale value of crafted weapons is a tiny fraction of the materials that went into it, no way to craft something that helps with crafting, etc. Maybe worked too hard, since they missed the duping bug ...

Wow, that ended up being more lecturey than I intended. I hope I didn't put the old to sleep ... B)

I didn't actually play DAI today, but I did find this gem of a thread

My first PT I didn't know the cutoff for the quest, so that was the only time I did it like that, but I still don't recommend it :P I was on hard and I spent the entire fight running up the stairs, taking potshots, jumping down, rinse and repeat with the rest of my team dead. I sided with the elves and they weren't much help, either. If you've already got the power/areas unlocked, I'd say just do Before the Dawn quickly so you don't have to deal with it later. If not, it shouldn't be a big deal. I think you've done a NM PT? You should be fine either way.

Yep, agreed on the Black Emporium. It's a godsend for those of us who must have their inquisitors look perfect   ... As for Xenon, I've been reading that they picked a new voice actor for him this time around, but according to imdb.com, it's the same VA in Inquisition as in DA2 -- Nicholas Boulton -- coincidentally, the actor who does MaleHawke's voice as well, which I did not know :o

I did that a few times. I was able to investigate the dwarf dungeon to complete the dwarf ruins mission without fighting the dragon when I played Draven Vollsa. I killed the dragon later on for different reasons.

In my rogue archer PT, I snuck past the Fereldan Frostback in search of some obsidian so that I could make the Dwarven Puzzle boxes for the troops. Almost didn't make it back out of that valley alive. Next time I was in Haven, I had gained enough influence to pick another perk. I chose Deft Hands, Fine Tools because what self-respecting rogue can't pick the tough locks, right? When I lefgt haven again, I went o Redcliffe to open up a couple locked doors that i couldn't access before. Insode one of the buildings? Ten pieces of obsidian, which was more than enough for the puzzle boxes. :pinched:

Wasn't that kinda the same bug that happened with the "Present For Bianca" war table mission? Except there, the advisor was free to do other things, but the mission would never complete. I think they patched that one. I've noticed since getting to Skyhold that a couple missions involving Qun'ari have come up. Maybe I'll make sure I'm not doing anything in their mission chains when it comes time to go back to the Storm Coast.

I'm just pleased as punch that I'm not the only one who takes 2 hours to create a new character AND is not just girls that want to mess with their looks lol (and now we can change thanks to the Mirror- hallafrickinlullia!). I've deleted 2 characters before making my favorite chica.

Since I installed the Black Emporium on Tuesday, I've spent more time messing around in there with my various inquisitors than i have actually playing the game, so you are definitely not alone, heh. So far I've decided that only one looks perfect enough not to mess with.

EDIT: Just heard this from Xenon the Antiquarian: "We had a visitor the other day. He was.. a venatori! We fed him... to the monster under the floorboards! He made a delightful crunching noise. Ah-haha... are they all like that?"

Today in the Inquisition, I've finally had enough of the Black Emporium for now *ahem* and am ready to continue Kubrie's journey. We pick things up in the Forbidden Oasis after a whirlwind tour of her new digs at Skyhold. She'd heard a rumour about an ancient sword somewhere out there, so she brought Bull, Varric and Vivienne to check things out for herself. Turns out there was also a rift to close and some venatori to deal with. There were bound to be some other interesting things going on as well. But first, they found the sword...

Spoiler

Why she wandered way out in that direction away from camp is beyond me, but she did hear that rumour  ...They found this hole in the sand, covered over with some weak-looking planks, so Kubrie did what anyone else would do when faced with a strange hole in the desert, covered by some weak-looking planks. She jumped up and down on those planks for awhile. B)

Spoiler

Kubrie ended up down in the hole, with Vivienne's cultured tones wafting down to her ears, "Is everything all right, my dear?" ...no one else reacted in any way, but Kubrie already liked her better than Blackwall :P

Spoiler

At the bottom of the hole was this treasure chest, that must have been some interdimensional portal or something because a fairly large sword was inside, called The Verdict. Bull was the only warrior in the group so he was chosen -- with one stern, uncompromising look from Vivienne -- to model the blade for everyone.

Spoiler

It's actually not a bad looking sword, statistically speaking, and Kubrie was rather impressed with how good Bull looked swinging it around. *ahem* ...she may just, uhh, have him respec his talents back to using a two-handed weapon.
