It's actually not a bad looking sword, statistically speaking, and Kubrie was rather impressed with how good Bull looked swinging it around. *ahem* ...she may just, uhh, have him respec his talents back to using a two-handed weapon.

Sort of destroys the uniqueness of it when the better goodies come along. I'd love the Blade of Sulevin more if I could add a pommel and grip to it. Dagna, I blame you for this!

Let's go get your lost amulet. Why do you think I'm selfish for trying to get your amulet back? I'm doing this for me!!!

Well, I've got a lot of exploring to do before coming across the Blade of Sulevin, heh. I haven't even looked yet at what kind of 2H sword schematics I've accumulated so far, but as you can see in that screenie, I can add a different (and better) pommel and grip to this sword, and even a rune when I get one -- though a tier 2 rune of cleansing isn't too bad to start with :)

I think it's almost impossible to craft a Superb Cleansing Rune if you do not grind for Revenant Hearts 'cause they're only in specific rifts and most of the Revenants you fight do not drop anything because they are mission or side quest related. I believe if you don't grind, you'll only end up with 5/6 Revenant Hearts total towards the end.

Fine. We'll go look for missing Seekers. It's weird to say "Seekers" after Legend of the Seeker

I dunno, I hardly ever craft runes, TBH. I just use the ones I pick up along the way most of the time. Sometimes if I have good schematics and lots of resources, I'll craft good dragon-slaying gear, or demon-slaying gear, or whatever, in preparation for a specific fight. Of course I then have to remember to use it

I give myself and people runes that would match them.

Cassandra - Demon Slaying Rune(obviously, because her Templar tree is 100% Demon Slaying)

Blackwall - Cleansing Rune('cause Dark Spawn hate it and Warden stuff)

Iron Bull - Corrupting Rune(It just fits 'cause of the Reaver class and how much he likes to slaughter)

Varric - Corrupting Rune('Cause it kills living things, but Cleansing would fit his '"Red Lyrium at the temple was a coincidence" theory'")

Sera - Corrupting Rune(Haven't made up my mind on her, but this is what she currently is using)

Cole - Demon Slaying Rune(Same with Sera, but I have not yet slapped a Rune on him yet but this would match him more)

Solas - Spirit Rune('Cause SPIRITS(Not a turian reference or anything))

Vivienne - Spirit Rune(Knight-Enchanter Tree carries a lot of Spirit damage)

Dorian - Corrupting Rune(Looks cool on Lightning Staffs, but also because he's a death mage already)

If this is pertaining to DA 2 yeah I do go above level 20 late in the game. Not to mention for LEGACY and MARK OF THE ASSASSIN being around level 20+ is not a bad thing because some of the side quests in either DLC can kick your *** like the Avaar alter in the MARK OF THE ASSASSIN DLC because the arcane horror has frost breath which WILL KILL YOU IN ONE HIT.

I just made it to level 22 with still a lot of stuff left to do in Act 2. If I had to guess I might end up at level 25 by the time I start Act 3

I do agree fighting that horror and its minions at the altar was a pain. I used crushing prison on the thing while my sidekicks took care of the low lifes.

Last night I found out how good the Fallow Mire is for level grinding. I went from level 5 to level 10 in around 2 hours. Now I made the Blades of Hessarian my agents and I'm off to recruit the mages after getting the Valamar Key.

I don't believe it for a second.  -_-

How about an example of a crafting loop, simplified for the sake of brevity?

Imagine you could brew a potion of "Improved crafting". It increases the efficacy of any crafted item by a couple of percentage points. Seems harmless, right? Well, what if one of the things you can craft is a ring of "Improved potion making"? It increases the efficacy of a potion by a couple of percentage points. Still seems harmless, right? This is how the loop would go: first make the potion. Then, quaff the potion and make a ring. Then, while wearing the ring you just made, make a better potion. Then, quaffing the better potion, make a new slightly better ring. Rinse and repeat. Finally, when you have a potion of improved crafting by 100000%, make a badass sword worth a kajillion gold. And, since the ring is permanent, you can remake that ultimate potion over and over again, and make the badass sword over and over again, and cash in at the pawnshop.

A 2% buff adds up when you multiply by a lot of loops: 1.02 x 1.02 x 1.02 x 1.02 x 1.02 ... do that 349 times and you get 100000%

BW worked hard to make sure no such loop could happen in DA:I: resale value of crafted weapons is a tiny fraction of the materials that went into it, no way to craft something that helps with crafting, etc. Maybe worked too hard, since they missed the duping bug ...

Wow, that ended up being more lecturey than I intended. I hope I didn't put the old to sleep ... B)

LOL I swear on my mama.  I've never been on reddit.  I've heard things about it (mostly that there are weird perverted guys on it posting pictures of unsuspecting girls on various sub-reddits which makes my skin crawl from the creep factor).  But never been on it!

You probably did put me to sleep, but then the City of Chicago/ComEd/People's Gas decided that 4am was an appropriate time to do routine maintenance (I know it wasn't emergency work because they had the area blocked off two days ago and did nothing save for jack up traffic).  So I'm awake now.  But I honestly would never think to do this.  I just make armor and weapons - use them until they are no longer appropriate for my level and move on.  All the rest of my free time is spent contemplating shoes and whether or not I should get off my arse and go to the gym or sit on the couch and eat cookies.  I'm a simple woman. I just don't think in a single player game EA/BW should care.

Team Holden finished Cullen's personal quest  - we took him along to the temple of Dumat only to not find Samson.  Instead we found a dying tranquil and a bunch of red templars.  Team Ginger Bro has been holding off on going to the arbor wilds because of this quest, so the team is pleased that we can go in there and break his armor. Team Ginger Bro also ran into Rat in the tavern, so we sent out a search party to find Sutherland. Hopefully Cullen will report back to Holden with his whereabouts.

Janet Hawke

My mother was killed. Its a sad day. I will miss you mother. Isabela is nice enough to give me a hug

Took care of some bandits. My lady friend at the hangman gave me coin for getting rid of them. Such a nice lady

Varric killed his brother. I wanted to, but I felt it would be better if Varric did that.

Anders is losing control. If I hadn't interfered, he would've killed that girl.

Help Fenris kill the whatever her name is. He has a sister. He's not sure if he will look into it

Sister Petrice is a bad girl. I wonder in her spare time if she works at the Blooming Rose. Hahaha. I killed her templar bodyguard. The Viscount is not sure what to do. What a wimp. I should kick his fifth point of contact out of Kirkwall and make myself Viscountess. I like that. I will think about it.

I will head to the hangman for a few drinks to wet my whistle.

Now I'm at Skyhold, I can finally look at those new thrones that the Black Emporium added. I love the Kirkwall throne. It's so great.

I also got to use the Storage chest for the first time.

I don't know if anyone has done this before, but I took my femHawke into the fade without any companions. Wasn't too bad. The dialogue for the quest is a lot different without having any companions

Hawke and Stroud were pretty much incapacitated during the fight with the nightmare.  Were they still corrupted w/o any companions??
