Rumble in the Arbor Wilds. The team made their way quickly through the jungle, and Trev resisted the urge to swipe a tropical bird and bring it back to Skyhold with him. They probably wouldn’t like it so much in the cold. Perhaps he could just get away with casting a spell on one of Leliana’s ravens? Who doesn’t like rainbow ravens? 

 

The party nearly came to blows with Coryfish outside the gates of the temple, and ran like the wind to get inside before the fake Archdemon could finish them off.

In all my PTs so far, I don’t think Cassandra is ever one of the people to be knocked over when the doors are slammed. As it should be – she’s wearing enough plate armour to act as a human doorstopper! This was followed by Trev and Morrigan arguing a bit, and Cass happily weighed in on that discussion.

 

 

 

 

Trev elected to complete the rituals, reminding me of why I intend to have just one more PT before I take a break. Holy nug, these rituals drive me insane. It would be fine if 1) the ‘hold position’ button worked or 2)companion pathfinding wasn’t so terrible here. I lead them all onto the platform, try to position them so I can light up all the panels in the right sequence and – oh, look, Dorian’s gone off the platform and stood over there somewhere.  Let’s make him come back. Oh, no – the whole party has decided to join him instead.  Certainly is a trial.

 

They were surrounded by some strange elves in chafing armour, led by a guy with no eyebrows. He was intrigued that a human has come with ‘one of the elvhen’, which can only be Sera. Oh, I bet she loves that.  Dorian was flabbergasted to learn that Tevinter didn’t screw the elves over after all – they just picked the carcass clean. Trev agreed to an alliance with the Sentinels. Then Morrigan chased after Abelas because who needs diplomacy or whatever.

 

Trev grabbed a Veilfire torch to investigate ‘Untranslatable Elven Writings’. I checked the codex entry, which is pretty much ‘these writings are so ancient they defy translation’. Thank you, Captain Obvious!  Perhaps Solas can shed more light on them if Trev ever remembers. Perhaps he should ask Sera to translate for a joke. That would probably lead to sudden arrow-in-the-face syndrome.

 

Samson confronted them with his slightly less attractive brother.

Seriously, how could he ever think that turning his fellow templars into creepy zombie rock monsters would ever be a good idea? Trev destroyed his armour and was assisted in the battle by a little elf with a big hammer. It kind of makes me want to play an elven 2-hander warrior sometime. Very entertaining. Trev decided to have Samson carted back to Skyhold. We should tie him up there and then pelt him with Sera’s over-baked cookies. 

 

There was a load of serious discussion with Abelas about the Well, and then he decided to take off. Dorian was surprised he didn’t want to make more use of his ancient knowledge. 

Abelas: Would the elves of your time listen?

Sera: Elfy elves won’t listen. How can that whinge and cry about being victims if they did it to themselves?

Abelas didn’t seem to get the joke. Maybe he can think about it on the way to wherever he’s going. Trev consulted his array of lovelies on what to do next, though there was only ever one option. There is not a chance in Thedas that he would ever drink from something called the Well of Sorrows. It's too bad we can't just destroy it. Abelas already has the information in his head. Let's just take him.

Despite his suspicions of Morrigan, Trev is nothing if not a true gent. He ran straight out there to make sure she was ok, and hadn’t turned into a demon or something. Then they all made their escape before Coryfish could ruin the party. How they got Samson out with them is a mystery. Perhaps he was airlifted out by a flock of Leliana’s ravens?

Finally did Doom upon the World and finished the game. 

 

A few drinks and canapes with the gang and wished Divine Leliana well

 

OK game....in terms of enjoyment would put it number 3 for me behind the first two  (as flawed as DA 2 was I didn't put it down for long spells like this)

 

Still will look forward to DA 4

I was able to complete the one tarder guys WAR TABLE mission and he was true to his word. Malaioniss got Dorian's ring back. Malaioniss gave it to him. Despite Dorian feeling like 'he owes me for life' Malaioniss told him he doesn't need to but to love him. After a smooch Malaioniss felt like the relationship should be serious so they 'hooked up'.

 

 

Hmm, I think there should be another one in between where he asks you to come get drinks first. Did you miss that one? In my current game, since I didn't recruit him until after getting to Skyhold, he was outside quite a bit longer than he usually is and it took me a while to get up to the "meet the random mercs" talk. But after that one, he was inside the tavern. Did you try reloading and going back to Skyhold again to see if it's any different? What happens if you go back to the last time you were at Skyhold, then leave and come right back? Is he inside then?

 

Well I know when you first get to Skyhold all of Sera's, Cullen's, Vivianne's, Cole's and iron Bull's meeting points are outside the tavern because the tavern is being renovated by the inquisition because you guys just got there. Dorian, Liliana, Solas, Blackwall, Josephine, and Cassandra's stay where they are when you first get there. Verric is only at the battlements just to introduce Hawke then goes to the inner sanction of Skyhold. 

 

Note: I noticed if you have the "checking out Skyhold's fortifacation's" conversation with Blackwall you will be automatically teleported to your room and I believe the main lobby will be cleared up. Also if you do have Solas's conversation about "being at haven/having conversations in dreams" Sera's, Cullen's, Vivianne's, Cole's and iron Bull's meeting points will be in the tavern while Vivianne will be in a second floor section above Solas's section. I had this happen to me while playing Vyre Dite.

Came out of Halamshiral with 99 court approval and a dead Celene. Made Gaspard sole ruler.

Next I finished Iron Bulls, Solas', Josephine's Blackwall's, Cole's, Vinvienne's, and Leiana's quests. I kicked Sera out after doing hers.

 

I also earned some new trophies. Now the only ones I need for plat are unlocking all astrariums and collecting all the shards.

 

Cool beans. I may try to judge Flortine this time around instead of 'the box'!

Anyway the only two achievements I need is collect 50 herbs from Skyholds garden and fully upgrade one throne. Frankly the fully upgrade one throne I have no bloody clue. I seem to find parts randomly, by luck or via WAR TABLE nonsense. I may look into it via a guide or something.

 

I may try MP myself out of random curiousity.

Still puttering around the Plains....blech. Did both ops to open the new areas so will probably get to them later tonight. Ended last night with this convo with Dorian, but didn't save afterwards so I get to do it again later. Nope, that wasn't intentional at all.....   I'm trying really hard to space out the romance content this PT, even though I want to do it all RIGHT NOW.

Out of left field i decided to hit MULTI PLAYER for a bit. i am kind of mixed on this mode. It's kind of fun but glitchy too. I have been working on Archer and Isabella. Archer is defenetly my forte and honestly Isabella hasn't changed to much other than she has some debuffer gun abilities. I do love her chit chats:

Lol. She hasn't changed at all as far as her personality. I still wonder if she's got ALL HANDS ON DECK which is basically like HIDDEN BLADES in the assassin rouge specialization pool.

 

I got Isabella at 6ish while my archer is almost 10ish. Again it seems ok. I am miffed though that my group had a dragon beat but the %%&&$& dragon glitched/wouldn't die. I had this happen long ago on single player where the first dragon in Emprise Du Lion didn't die for some random reason when it had 0 health.

Up to my neck in DA multiplayer (nabbed a purple card Maul of the Dragon for a perilous dragon match last night...FINALLY!) and drafting/editing a couple of fanfics. I really wish I could draw or put a picture together. I have so many art ideas and no skill to produce them

Thought about it early on, then saw this thread and...well, nothing could've prepared me for how amusing it is to watch a druffalo trample demons into goo piles for an angry dwarf

Went to the Forbidden Oasis. I was allowed in since I'm part of the Inquisition. Ah the perks of working with the Inquisition. 

 

I gathered all the shards. I feel like Bugs Bunny with all the hopping around I've been doing. 

 

Found the front door to a temple. The shards are keys to opening these doors. I open 2 fire doors and one cold door. I got some fire and cold resistance. And picked up a lot of coin. I still need some more coin to get that Bow for Sera at the Black Emporium. I could wait for Black Friday after Thanksgiving and get it for half price. Nah. I don't want to wait that long

Still not done in the Plains.  However, I've just got the Dalish to meet and run errands for, a tomb to ransack, and then the dreaded Citadelle du Redeadening to conquer. I finished my evening session with another sneak peek at the amulet story. Taking Dorian along to talk to Ponchard is very hilarious. Not sure when I will do it for realsies; replaying it multiple times is too much fun.

So I ended up booting up my PS3 and playing DA2.    Also, as a random aside, I originally had DAO and DA2 on the 360, but my 360 stopped reading discs, so I repurchased both games for my PS3.  I did that for all my Assassin's Creed games too. 

 

Anyhow, I'm playing as a rogue.  I really like playing as a mage but I hate that Bethany dies and you get stuck with Carver.  So  I'm going against my nature and roguing it up.  I've specialized her as a shadow assassin.  Fun times!  Also,  Marian is trying her best to get Fenris to love on her, but he is rather crabby and not taking the bait.  I'm in act two already, but I've had the whole week off to sit around and play video games

I miss Fenris. I'm debating going back to DAO once I finish my current game, to complete my Brosca playthrough in Awakening and then import her to DA2. It's been too long since I romanced that elf!

Wheeee! Finished up the Exalted Plains except for great bear pelts but technically I don't need them since I already max'ed out Dalish approval and recruited Loranil. All the undead are re-deaded and the elfy ruins have been ransacked. Marcus didn't tell the Dalish about that last bit, of course. But he did rid the place of all the demons infesting it, so that should count for something, right?

Had a couple of crazy graphics glitches. Marcus is literally in the belly of a beast, and Keeper Hawen appears to be having an identity crisis.

Ponchard reminds me of that merchant Hawke meets in Kirkwall when trying to get into the city, the one Aveline calls a toad.  I loved the intimidate option that actually worked this time. Olinar tried it but apparently being able to spontaneously combust someone isn't as scary as having a big sword.
