Marcus spent the last couple of days clearing out the western half of Emprise du Lion. He rescued the villagers and shut down the mine, then headed for Suledin Keep to kick the rest of red Templars out of the area. Once that was done, he helped Blackwall find the last two Wardeny artifacts, and made a special trip waaaay down beneath the keep to find a special prize. ![]()
Not sure what I'll do next. I kinda want to go dragon hunting, but I have no upgrades on my cold resistance because there is no witherstalk anywhere in the world except places Marcus hasn't been to yet.
So, maybe the Oasis and/or the Wastes for his next trick.
Yesterday I posted that I received no experience points for killing a high dragon, but a short time ago I defeated The Gamordan Stormrider, a level 13 dragon, with my level 22 Inquisitor and got the experience points for slaying it. Go figure I guess.
The Stormrider is level 15, but still, sounds like a glitch.

According to the collectors edition guidebook it says its a level 13+ on page 253

Now that's an interesting way to role play.

Lol I used to do that with Hawke too. Change her hair and style as she aged and became rich. Ponytail's and mercenary clothes became long flowing hair and fancy Mage clothing, etc...

I did that with Alex. Trimmed his beard and things.
Kara is really the first character of mine that I have used to make more then cosmetic changes too, granted i have only really had the opprotunity to do that with two characters.

It keeps things interesting and for RP fun I even add some scars that they obviously would get after Haven because no one can come out looking perfect after all that sh*t they go through. Lol

Thinking of doing that after Adamant.

Indeed, My worry is finding the right scar.

I tend to go for lip and head scars since my poor mage gets it bad when snuck up on. Lol
Gah! I accidentally broke up with Dorian!
Hit 1 instead of 4 on the dialogue wheel.
Yes, I reloaded! ![]()

NOOOOOOOO!
Whew thank goodness for multiple saves!
Inquisitor Lavellan and the mystery machine made one more stop in the frostback basin, took care of business, discovered a little history, walked in slow motion away from an explosion er... quickly downed a dragon.
Jo Trev's only just arrived in Skyhold and I've already locked in a romance with Sera
I'm terrible at pacing, it seems.
I also worked way harder than I should have to get the ingredients for the Necromancer specialization. Not really fond of it so far. Maybe it gets better when you max it out? If not, I may reload and go Rift Mage instead. Anybody played Necromancer and have tips? I'm pretty much a mess for the other elements, but I'm leaning more towards fire for the panic bonuses.

I'm playing a Necro at the moment and I love it. ![]()
Horror may not seem really useful at the beginning, but as soon as you upgrade it with Despair, you won't only panic your enemies, but also give them Spirit damage (useful against Pride Demons, Nightmare and some High Dragons).

I highly recommend the right side of the skill tree, tho I'd also get the passives from the left side.

I'm doing that with my Tempest Archer guy too. After finishing the Exalted Plains, he gets a haircut, shops for new wardrobe and shares kisses with Cassandra when he gets back to Skyhold. Most of the time, I never changed my Inquisitor's looks aside from their outfits until now.

Thanks! I only have Horror, the two right passives and Walking Bomb so far. Neither ability is upgraded yet, but Virulent Walking Bomb has always been a favourite of mine, so I mostly just wanted to get that right away
Do you use the left ability much (I, uh, forgot what it was called...) or just get it to max out the tree? Only having 8 ability slots makes choosing things a bit difficult, since I'd like a few fire abilities and maybe Static Cage.

Tbh I never use/d Spirit Mark. (even tho I got the skill, just so my skill tree would be maxed out
) The skill sounds cool, but as you say, 8 skill slots makes choosing the skills a bit difficult. Which is why I let Dorian use Walking Bomb, I just can't part with Winter's Grasp. x"D
My Skill slots at the moment:

Edit: What I did today (more yesterday night)
I did The Final Piece and went to the Altar of Mythal
That...was...totally...awesome.
From going from slogging and puttering along to not wanting to put the controller down. And look at the time too.
Did Champions of the Just for the first time, and man, I have seen lets plays, and heard the rumors of how good that quest was...but man. It was so cool and epic and creeeppy...totally blows In Hushed Whispers out of the Water which that quest might have been a little bit of a slog in the beginning. The boss fight with Envy was probably the toughest one in the entie game, and it forced me to think. lol. Hard to rank it in the Pantheon...but that just goes to show you with bare few exceptions how well Inquisition's main campaign was designed.
Anyways onto the more role play centric aspects. It was interesting...maybe more for me at this point then the player...but this quest spoke to something. Kara is chaaotic good to chatic neutral, so her future and the future Envy offered could have been very easily 'Kara gone wrong'. And could easily happen. Not just the power mad stuff but its a narrow bridge to walk from 'proactively doing good to change the world' to 'evil despot.' ANd it was just so well done and picked up.
Also...she disbanded the Templars, again role play...hates the Order...but did not trust anything about the situation in Tevinter with the mages...well you know what i mean. But she did manage to make it sound nice and did not lord it over them...proud of her.
Anyways lots of vids and pics to share...which I may not share...later. \
Got back home to Haven and instantly hit the crafting table...I seem to be hitting that early and often this playthrough...oh well I hope it all works out in the end. But wanted to craft up some armor for Bull, did not really have the materials I wanted...so off to the Black Emporium got the materials i needed, and decided to check the schematics table...found an awesome coat for Kara...did not notice it required metal for one of its slots...oh well though I am still happy. Crafted everything up, distributed the proper uprades...so now my party is ready for IYHSB...but first back to the Hinterlands, talking with everyone, and then onto the Fallow Mire to rescue some soldiers so the Templar Vets can arrive. Ahhh roleplay ![]()

That's fine. I don't fight the dragon because of what level it is, I fight it because I want to at that particular time
I have discovered that the RNG gods REALLY seem to favor my rogues in multiplayer: I ended up getting a Bow of the Dragon from the victory chest for the last weekend challenge. Then I did a bunch of MP yesterday (not much work to do, so I pretty much had a free day - lol) and got a level 23 epic dagger. I was like: hmm, cool! I kept playing after dinner and did a perilous Fereldan Castle run with someone I keep running into...and I ended up with a Dagger of the Dragon as well - lol! Thanks, RNG gods!
Closed all the rifts in the Hissing Wastes.
