I think the scars are still bugged on PC. I just went back onto PC again and they're still not showing up. Must I play on a higher graphic setting?

Scars show up on PC. Maybe the intensity needs to be adjusted? Or it could be a setting like you say. Though honestly, I really haven't noticed a lot of difference between low and high everything, other than ultra slows down my machine quite a bit. Except for the plastic hair setting, of course.

Yeah, I can't do much 5 or so minutes at a time. I'm hoping tech support will be able to help me figure out what the issue is, and how to fix it [without having to buy a new card ]. I played ME3 last night for a couple of hours and had no buzzing so I think it starts once the card reaches a certain temperature. DAI is just too much for it now, even after changing all the settings to low/off.

Every time I try putting on scars, nothing shows up. It's like an empty option even with the new patch.

I'm sorry to hear about the computer woes, Spork and Melbella!  :(

Today, Lavellan decided it was time to take Redcliffe back from the Venatori. Also, he has a mighty need for Dorian to join the party.  :P Unfortunately, Alexius hit the party with some kind of strange magic:

Spoiler

Where's a healer when you need one? Of course, things went from bad to worse as they were shot forward in time. Dorian promised to protect Lavellan, and the pair of them set off to find their missing companions. It's safe to say that Solas took this whole situation better than Blackwall. Solas was mostly like "Oh good, you're here, now you can fix the mess." Are we saviours of the world, or a dry-cleaning company making house calls?  :P Meanwhile poor old Blackwall was confused and miserable.

No one fared worse than Leliana though. In the space of only a year, she had been aged decades, and looked distinctly like a zombie. Still strong and limber though. At least in the leg area. What did they do to her? Not just her appearance, but her whole manner. The soft-spoken, calculating and mage-loving spymaster had become harsh and bitter. With that disdain for mages, she could give Meredith a run for her money.  :P

The tools they're finding are both strange and disconcerting.

Spoiler

Lavellan really doesn't want to know. He also hoped that Leliana, Solas and Blackwall were never placed in those strange cages. Hmm... what happened to his other allies back in Haven? Are they locked up somewhere like this?  :?

Spoiler

There were rifts all over, which is a little strange, considering the Fade has merged with the world. Does that mean Lavellan could potentially still fix the Breach here, with ample fuel? Or would the Elder One easily overpower him? Probably best to leave that to academic speculation, and not test the theory.

One thing I'm sure I've never noticed before:

Spoiler

I also saw Connor burst into flame for the first time ever! Lavellan is so lucky to be treated to these things.

The party had to collect some red lyrium shards to access Alexius' inner sanctum. These seemed awfully like the shards the Occularum finds to get into Solassan. Did that give Alexius the inspiration to create these? Is he the one responsible for the Occularum? I've no doubt that Calpernia knew and authorised it, but did he come up with the idea?  :o

They battled Alexius (I miss being able to set tactics!) and the future-companions held the line so that Lavellan and Dorian could return to the past. The last thing that Lavellan saw before he returned was Leliana being killed. He gloated over Alexius, squashing his empathy about the 'dying son' thing. It's harsh to judge someone over what they will do in the future, but Lavellan's a soft soul, watching his tortured friends die was too much.

Queen Anora showed up without her dear husband, so she could deliver Fiona a verbal tongue-lashing. Fortunately for Fiona, Lavellan is willing to offer her and the mages sanctuary with the Inquisition. Anora was pleased, so long as the mages get off Ferelden soil. I thought Haven was in Ferelden?  Does that mean the Inquisition has it's own village-sized kingdom? Thanks, Anora.

Blackwall approved of the choice (I've always thought that interesting). Cassandra disapproved, but was prepared to set her personal feelings aside in favour of pragmatism, whereas Cullen was very angry. Lavellan happily welcomed Dorian into the Inquisition, and all was well again.

Spoiler

He took a trip round to talk to people, and asked Leliana why she liked mages so much. She said it's because she'd known mages who were better people than her? I wonder if she means Wynne? They seemed quite close. Possibly Sketch too? Solas gave some disapproval because Lavellan said he'd defer to Dorian's theories on time magic. Meanwhile...

Dorian: Free mages, what next...?

Lavellan: I'm sure I'll surprise you.

Dorian: I doubt it, unless you strip naked and let the Chantry flog you into repentence. That would be a surprise.

That's a rather specific thing to be thinking about, Dorian.

I'm on PC and scars don't work for me either. It has something to do with the Graphics settings. I have both Mesh Quality and Shader Quality set to Low, because otherwise the game crashes on every cutscene. One or the other of those seems to make scars disappear. I guess it's better to have no crashes than scars (there's a joke in there somewhere ... hmmm).

Never had an issue with scars not showing. I'm running the game with Ultra on Mesh quality, and High on Shader, my other options are sadly always going down the drain.

I just made the perfect looking male elf, but something bothered me about his chin (he had something, that looked like a scar, even tho I had scars turned off) and because I couldn't figure out what it was, I decided to remake him from scratch.
Just to realize that that 'scar' was a part of the complexion I had chosen. Dx Ugh and that only because I wanted him to have freckles T__T

So went back to the Hinterlands for a few quests.  Well like 2...which turned into 4...which turned into 4 and some Shard collecting...with a lot of bear fighting and bandit robbing....but I am just rolling with it.  Lol.  Last playthrough when I HAD to get to an area I HAD to get there.  So I would stay up and push and push and push to get a quest done or to do something, staying up late, not getting sleep, and just not enjoying the experience too much.  I think it got really bad once.  But anyways, this time, I know better, so am rolling with it.  I HAD TO get to the Fallow Mire...and I did...but if I didn't...it would have been ok.  And had a lot of really cool fights in the Hinterlands.  One with a bunch of bandts, then Mabari...then BEARS.

Those Hinterlands fights are so chaotic! I always get ambushed by bears and mabari while trying to run around that statue to revive grandpa in "Playing With Fire."  Apparently in my current game I got so distracted by them that I forgot all about grandpa. I couldn't figure out why the quest was still active until I went back and there he was!

Marcus has been taking it easy the last few days due to technical difficulties, but he managed to get a couple of quests checked off the list.

Located the Cradle of Sulevin and found pieces of its legendary blade. Dagna was able to make something useful out of them though (and I'm finally playing a quizzy who can use it! :D). For an elfy ruin, there really wasn't much elfy art to look. Mostly just statues.

Spoiler

They've been on the trail of Samson for months and finally caught a break, and a way to possibly break his armor. Dagna is researching it now.
Spoiler

Progress in the Wastes is slow-going. He's managed to find 3 tombs (and 3 mosaic pieces) and set up a few more camps. Also finally made it to the dog shop to buy T3 armor schematics, but haven't crafted anything yet. Whatever is hidden out here better be important; this could take a while.

No. Those are among the few things that are only doable before the main questline's conclusion. Better make sure you clear them up prior to your final strike!

EDIT: I think I read your question wrong. They are still available after What Pride Had Wrought, but you cannot go back to them after the final boss battle. In fact, I'm pretty sure post-What Pride Had Wrought is your last chance to do them.

In other news, I finished Jaws of Hakkon recently. Now I'm back to 100% again:

Rage inducing DAIMP on X1 today

Silly arguments, no teamwork, hardly any matches were completed today in the PUGs I ended up in.

I want to prestige my DAIMP inquisition level on X1 but the quality of folks playing lately really annoys me to no end. I need to find more friends on X1 to play with because I'm on the verge of no longer playing DAIMP on X1.

Just wish it wasn't naked grandpa

On another note - a little disappointed with the BE. No Crumbum. Apart from being able to get schematics and materials (which I prefer to outright weapons and armour) there aint much. The mirror needs more stuff - like hair, new tatts, new colours for hair and eyes and tatts and makeup etc.

Maybe it's time to think about downloading mods. . . :pinched:

Played the siege of Adament and then allied with Wardens, saved Hawke (it was a really hot fem hawke that I made), back at Skyhold I executed Erimond(sp?) myself.  Also realized I need to up the difficulty.  Maybe I am just getting better at the game or I just crafted overpowered gear but the fear demon gave me very little trouble in my fight with him and I didn't have much trouble with envy earlier in the playthrough when I recruited the templars.

My latest Trevelyan (Judd) was supposed to be for Dorian. When he went to talk to Cass at the practice dummies in Haven it was simply - no, you actually are Cass' are'nt you? Love will find it's way, what can you do? <3 <3 <3

Jo Trev got her butt handed to her by Frosty. Repeatedly. Then she crafted some relatively decent-ish fire-dragon-fighting gear. And died. Again. So, uh, maybe I'll wait until I can get some better abilities and gear to try again  Afterwards, she hauled her sad level 8/9 team back to Skyhold, where she finally got around to talking to everyone. Picked up a few quests (already did Sera's to, uh, *cough* romance her again) and got everyone's disapproval simply by being a Necromancer. Tried to smooth things over with a few of 'em; just made it worse. Story of her life, right? Guess she'll go talk with Varric's friend next. Or maybe stand around in the rain or muck on the Storm Coast or Fallow Mire. Lots of options, none of them pleasant to a Circle nerd mage :P
