Do you have anything from the ice giant fight? That was my
Sadly, no. I was trying to not get my team killed while fighting it. That Ice Giant is very overpowered. I'm not sure if I could take on two, but my mage Inquisitor took it down much faster than my dwarf warrior.

I hated that giant spider. My reasons:
Spoiler
Not only did it look gross, but it kept crawling away when my team roasted and electrocuted it! I thought it was dead at first! So, my team kept chasing this stupid thing down the cave (Cassandra looked awesome running with her fiery ham and cheese weapons raised in FTW style); fought its spider minions and a roaming group of hakkonites until we finally killed it!

I skipped that one on purpose this time. I keep forgetting where to find everything and the rewards are not worth the hassle.
Today I've finished EdL and I'm heading back to JoH.
So progress is a bit slower than planned, but I had a great evening yesterday with a couple a RL friends instead. Too bad I had to leave early, because I had to work today.
I thought Chateau d'Onterre was a lot of fun. Interesting codex and story, and a few t3 schematics and the permanent cunning bonus were pretty nice, too. Plus, dragging those poor companions around a haunted house never ceases to amuse me, regardless of which game it is
Anyway, I ended up respecing Jo Trevelyan twice and cleared out everything in the Hinterlands aside from the dragon testing out which build I liked more. Still not sure.
And I may or may not have, uh, unintentionally, gotten sucked back into Skyrim like a black hole...oops...Sorry, Thedas, please don't get destroyed while I'm off chasing butterflies in another world!

So, all my PC woes were apparently attributable to one slightly loose stick of RAM which, for some reason, windows doesn't like. What that means is, the format+reinstall-from-scratch that I am nearly finished with was very likely utterly unnecessary. D'OH.
I've been keeping up with people's adventures. Glad to see some folks enjoying the DLC , and great to see all the wonderful screenies. I should be back to Thedas, and Kubrie's journey, very soon -- Maker willing. Things are just starting to get rolling now between her and the Bull, and I really want to see where it goes. Not to mention, there are still at least nine more dragons to slay uh, and some other save-the-world stuff too.

im in exalted plains and I've pretty much finished it but i have one problem. one of the areas you have to retake control of had a tower in it, about the middle of the map. (directly west of the rock entrance to kill the dragon and directly south of the bridge marker on the map. where they meet) anyway stand in the tower door way and look out. walk away from the tower and on the left before you reach the cliff face there is a rocky hill you can climb up. get to the to and look over the side. left is empty space but on the right there is another ledge. getting up there is not always easy took a while but there is a chest a little loot. but most importantly there is a elven artefact that solas wants you to activate (in theory) is looks the same as all the others but i can't activate it anyone know why?

Here's a couple from my first run of JoH. He was not fun on NM, as you can see from the health bars.

Oh no! That makes it even worse! Hope to see more Kubrie adventures soon.
I still haven't isolated my noise issue, but from what I've been reading online, it may be a loose gizmo in my cpu cooler that's rattling around. Not really looking forward to trying to dismantle and/or clean it out but if it fixes the problem, I don't really have a choice. This is not what I want to do on my days off!

Really? I think I stumbled across the same one, but Solas wasn't with me and you couldn't interact with it. I think it was in the tower by where you kill Gordian. No clue here.
Does anyone know the graphic setting that messes around with face scars? I need to tweak that setting on DA:I if I actually want to see scars, but I don't want to make false moves and go through long loading screens.

In keeping up with the thread, I've used up all my likes again, but I'll reserve a like of commiseration for having to play 'computer' instead of games on your days off, like I did. Hopefully a loose part is all it is... Although suddenly loose parts in CPU coolers doesn't sound like a particularly good thing either

Thanks. On the plus side, I've been able to catch up with my most recent Shepard in ME3, which doesn't seem to cause as much rattle as DAI.
I will remember that the next time. I shouldn't assume everyone has played the dlc
Don't worry about it. Just about every post after yours was a JoH spoiler. I figured that would happen, with the DLC on consoles now. I'm pretty good at just stopping reading if I see something JoH. Though I did catch that bit about spiders ...

Just solved my own problem. Mesh Quality needs to be on High or Ultra. What crap optimization is this? Does your PC or Laptop need to be a high or mid-end PC to put Mesh quality on at least high?
Tuesday: Had three places give me bad customer service when I had to work. People at work were being lazy too.
Wednesday: Was sick from taking my medication the night before. I did notice the Harkon DLC is out. Lacked brain power to say much about it.
Thursday: Had a 2-4pm shift. Went home dehydrated. Trying to take care of a phone call regarding SSI.
Friday: Trying to recover. I got more brain power but i'm still headachey from yesterdays dehydration. I hate having ADD.
DAI wise I got 6 out of 10 dragons sacked. Iron Bull and Cassandra are making me mad about how they dragon bash. I get the HISSING WASTES and second CHAMPAIGN DU LION dragons down to 10% health left and they can't finish the bloody job due dragonlings and bloody straight incompetance. I know I should choose "ATTACK MY TARGET" and off the dragonlings but if I don't hit the big D at some point it's going to keep calling out leaving me unable to hit the daddy dragon. I do have adequite supplies (ice resistance potions almost maxed except for the added bonus and fire resistance potions almost maxed except for the added bonus) so potions are no object. However for some random reason Solas seems to run in like an idiot and get into trouble which causes him to eat my potions. I kind of need to make a killing for dragons so I can get a kick butt bow I can craft. I did a garbage ton of other stuff...
Talked to Josephine about next divine.
Had Liliana deal with the rival chantry sister.
Spoiler
chantry sister was killed.
Did Varric's Bianca mission. Things went very well between the two since Malioniss is on good terms with Verric.
Malaioniss talked to Morrigan and asked her about her and Goketsu. Funny thing about this conversation is despite the fact that she wants to dump him really badly she deeply cares about the guy. She says it herself...
Spoiler
Morrigan: "Yes I do deeply adore him but i really rather talk about something less revolting."
Lol. By the way I seem to be wrong about someones book picture. My only guess is you get that cinematic if Morrigan doesn't get the Grimoire? I do remember giving Morrigan a book in DAO that I believe was meant for Wynne but Morrigan accepts it and despite being meh with it she finds it funnier than heck. I cannot remember which book it was.
So I learned a few things today while playing DAI:
1. Cullen's tag-alongs look suspiciously the same...
Spoiler
2. Cole follows you into Therinfal Redoubt at the beginning of the Champions of the Just quest. I only just figured that out today with the help of a well-timed screenshot!
Spoiler
and 3. My Inquisitor doesn't like to sit like an Inquisi-lady....
Spoiler
I never noticed these things.
1: I do admit everyone does look the same no matter who they work for...
I mean seriously did you know this guy worked for Liliana? Lol.
2: Man I never noticed. i did see Cole in the picture though. I had to play a game of where's waldo though. Cole wasn't kidding by the stuff he was saying to your inquisitor in the fade about "i was always there".
3: Yeah...At times your fem inquisitor isn't lady like.
Would you down pissmonchango in one sip with no fear? Lol.
True. In my first PT my Adaar (Haya) was meant to romance Bull, but she didn't like him, then she met Josephine
For my Lavellan it basically went like this:
Lavellan: You know I believe into the Elven gods and not your Maker, right?
Cassandra: [....] I just believe you are destined for something big. *smiles and walks away*
Lavellan: ..........
Spoiler
Also he's modeled after Bruce Banner from the Earth's Mightiest Heroes cartoon. Bruce canonically likes strong woman so it could only end like this
Lol. Sounds kind of my case except mine went for Dorian. It may kind of go something like this.
Dorian: "I hear you dumped the bull."
Malaioniss: "Indeed I have. He was a bit to rough with me the second time he tried."
Dorian: "Hmm....a pity....I figured you to be the type to be into rough play with handsome devils."
Malioniss: "No one as handsome and devilish as you."
Dorian: *Laughs*. "Me more handsome than the bull? Do tell me more..."
Spoiler
Dorian: "Was i to rough?"
Malaioniss: "No you were perfect. At least you didn't bring a harness and expect me to call you master."
brother was playing and as usual was doing tons of crafting in the Undercroft. I swear 50% of his game time has been crafting
He briefly left the room so I sent his Quizzy off to the Western Approach
He was not pleased
Nothing wrong with crafting. I kind of go crazy crafting myself. I went wyvern bashing in HISSING WASTES just for WYVERN POISON GLANDS so i can create a EFFECTIVE VS DRAGONS orb add on.
Not DA related but related to your post: I'm in the middle of The Witcher 3, I leave my brother on the console while I take a nap and I wake to find Geralt in a brothel not being faithful to his beloved fiery haired mistress...I was not pleased
ON TOPIC: Had a much lovelier time on DAIMP on PS4 after the rage fits I had on X1. Purchased a few more good items from chests too.
Sweet!!! Frankly if I had a XBOX ONE or PS 4 I so would be playing that. Frankly I liked WITCHER 2 and wouldn't mind playing WITCHER 3.
Still in Hinterland.....Oh Hinterland...why can't I get out yet ? lol
Trying to ****** off Solas and Vivi this turn....should be fun
Making Solas mad is all kind of cool. I wish I could of recorded my inquisitors punching Solas in the face. However for Malaioniss i super duper made Vivianne mad by not recruiting her. She poutty faced and walked away.
trying to find out what approval and disapproval you get for saying that an elf will lead the inquisition when you first arrive at haven.
Haven? Well if you mean Skyhold I know the biggest kicker is picking "I am doing this for my own self" or whatever that choice was this gives you EVERYONE practically disapproving you. As far as Haven it's really hard to get hate mail right away from your allies. If you're trying to get hatemail from people if your a guy hit on Sera or as a girl tell Sera what is the facts and disagree with her. Iron Bull it seems like if your Qunari just act pro Tal Vashoth for disapproving points. Cassandra just treat her like crap. As far as Solas don't bring up anything about the fade and be pro elf since he's more into "the elves of old". Varric, Dorian and Blackwall just act over confident and or get all "I was sent by Andraste herself". Vivianne be pro mage and act like a mage activist where mages should be free. Treat Cole like crap by telling him to stop being emoie, doing crazy stuff and 'be normal'. the aides are really hard to treat like crap. It seems to only way the aides can hate you is if you don't do their personal stuff like telling the whole Montelyet financial issues are unimportant, Liliana shouldn't dwell on the whole chantry thing and should just do her bloody job and Cullen should keep being a templar. These are ways I know of to be semi hated among your own ranks.
PS: How many likes can one spend? I have been sending a-lot of likes to as many people I can send. Lol. Again sorry everyone for being a bit behind here and there. Lol. I swear with four days past or whatever you guys are like four pages past my latest post or whatever. Lol. No biggie. I still love posting here and seeing what's up. Props to you all.

Finished Jaws of Hakkon this evening. My thoughts:
Spoiler
The overall story about the previous Inquisitor was cool. I like how my present Inquisitor was able to finish what he started and RP wise, in many ways, she can relate to him on what he went through as a leader.
The final two boss battles were quite challenging. Varric and Dorian were knocked out a couple of times, but my Knight Enchanter saved them. Haha.. Bestie Cassandra was a powerhouse charging at the bosses head on no matter what was thrown in her way. Including the kitchen sink!
However... The ice giant and level 30 despair demons were a pain in the backside! No one in my team died during these fights thankfully. But at least there was a lot of gold and good rewards after killing these enemies.
and now that i am playing I'm having a bad time of it. I've lost war table things and i can't remember what they are called. i don't think I've done them but i don't have them any more. they are the 20hour ones. i like to wait till have enough agents to reduce the time to about 12 hours or less. I'm pretty sure i had about 6 of them but now i only have 3 and they are all things i want cullen to do. i don't know if i truly lost them for taking so long or if i wasn't paying attention of what i was doing yesterday and the times had dropped to 6 hours without me toting because i did some of those yesterday.
Chateau d'Onterre was a really sad place. I wish there was more follow-up to that place. It didn't feel right to claim the family's ring just to sell it off. Mages back at Skyhold should do something about preventing that tragedy from happening again.

my brain hurts, i did research that was supposed to finish in 10 hours and its done in 45 min. maybe i erad it wrong and said 10 min and i wasn't paying attention
