I created a new character. :D Tanith, elf mage, will romance Solas (probably ) and become a rift mage. If she romances Solas, after she drinks from the Well she's gonna dump his elfy a$$. You know, to pay him back for breaking Andariel's heart. :crying: That's the plan anyway. Whatever happens is still a looooong way off.

So far, she's managed to not get on Cassandra's good side and isn't real thrilled to be in her current situation. Stupid shems always blame elves for everything! :pinched:

Edit: Also note, by playing a female quizzy, there is no chance for me to get distracted and romance Dorian.

Edit 2: Whoops, accidentally deleted my first note about the bear head in the first cabin you come across. <_< Foreshadowing much? :P

Spoiler

In other news, my computer has apparently decided it's tired of being operated on and has worked fine for the past 3 evenings. No cranky noises, no fan not running, everything normal. Still want to replace the fan if I can, though. It's going on four years old this month so it probably needs a rest.

Your Inky looks great and I'm glad to hear your computer is working again (even if you do need a replacement fan), but...the first time I read through this post, these flying pants were the only things I could focus on

@Gilli-chan - Great screenshot, with the dragon! Rift Mage is the only mage spec I haven't tried yet, it's nice that Cole appreciates it ^_^

i know I'm getting boring now but it has been tried tested and proved. (tried and tested 7 times today now. the only way to do all the quests (including the red jenny one if you bring sara along is..

1 look properly.

2 get everything in opening place (including opening the door with the stone halla.

3 make sure you get all 6 coins in phase 1 (and all 6 halla) thats 1 coin in start, 2 in palace before servants quarters and 3 in servants area) as well as 1 stone halla  in start area, 1 stone halla up by the library {up the lattice work to the right} and 4 halla in the servants area)(use second halla to open door on the left up the lattice work for the letter in there to progress to next phase.

3.1 remember to get there on second bell before entering servants area. (easy way ignore the cylinder {hall of hero's, far room balcony ignore till ready for timer) and get everything else. (after talking to morrigan, talk to liliana, ( spelling :(  )and give the 13 info on blackmail so far, it gives you a small court rep boost)

3.2 (IMPORTANT) if you want to finish all quests and get max influence (400 from doing coins) do not open the vault where the locket is with the halla, you need them for the door in the gardens to go downstairs to get a coin and a chest for red jenny.

4 remember to get into ball room on second bell for "fashionably late" boost 10 court rep :) dance with the creepy lady with the bad hair cut {is it just me or do all the bad guys had terrible hair?)

5 after the dance in theory if your quick and choose the right things you will have 100 court rep happy days.

6 do not enter the royal apartments but explore everywhere (not servants quarters) again for coins and blackmail things. (great library included)

7 by this point you should have 7 halla statues. 13 coins and 27 blackmail info. {you opened 3 halla doors, 1 outside, 1 up lattice work and one going down from the gardens.}

8 now go into the royal apartments (remember to ignore the door that takes you to the fade rift) search everywhere else, you will pick up 4 stone halla (3 give you the quest and 1 bonus for some reason), 1 coin and 2 black mail things.

9 now open the halla door in the royal apartments you will find 1 coin 1 black mail thing (which are the last pieces needed to finish those 2 quests)

10 leave royal apartments and go to the fountain throw in all coins. get your influence and finish quest. (each coin throw gives +1 court rep)

11 go talk to liliana and give the last of the black mail info which should be 17 pieces. get influence, quest end and if your not already at 100 it should throw you up to the top  :D

12 now its time to deal with the fade rift.

13 rest is up to you guys and good luck  :)

sorry if your not interested but thought it might help, if not its what i did over and over and over again today to get it right  :wizard:

Not much to report. I haven't had a serious chance to play DAI since Monday. Not to mention at one point I was on TEKKEN REVOLUTION trying to get my groove back. All i can say is Emerald Graves is clear (claimed all waypoints, cleared KNIGHTS TOME,

Spoiler
) and I sacked Storm Coast's dragon (three left: last two in Du Lion and Hissing Wastes) and saved Sutherland's posse. I got a garbage ton of missions to do in Hissing Wastes and I got that route mission to do in Du Lion then I will be off to Arbor Woods. I may do the DLC afterward but I want to do Draven then Chasimess first before I do Maliaoniss for the DLC.

Re-spec'd my archer to a DW Assassin. About level 14-15. Having a blast with the daggers. Sneaking up behind some unsuspecting AI baddie and planting two blades of steel into his back is pure bliss. Bought some legendary dagger schematics from Black Emporium. One looks like a giant meat clever. Burst damage from rogues is incredible.

I'm surprised you did that. Why the change? I like being a tempest archer. I think being a assassin archer will be good too because on DA 2 I had that class for Kelbaton and man was he practically a archer god there. Corypheus on DA 2 was a sinch.

Yeah xD

Oh, yes

Ah, it's okay, I know that feeling. I have to play DAO and DA2 in german, but I could play DAI in english, it's just, I actually like the voice acting there. I think there are only two things that annoy me about the german voices: 1) Alistair and Zevran got different voices (Alistairs voice in DAO was wonderful, in DA2 and DAI he sounds so snobbish   and Zevran's VA voices male!Hawke, which is why they had to change Zevran's voice   in DA2 grrr) and 2) they can't decide how they should pronounce elfish and qunari words. In DA2 Tallis talks about the Ben Hassrat and in DAI Bull calls them Ben Hässräf. (I think the second would be closer to the original  ) Maybe I'll change the language later, but not now.

So, Bruce finished some Inner Circle quests, did the Dead Hand quest and then fought the last Venatori Rift Mage. Rift Mage spec accomplished.

tumblr_nphi4nKK3G1rr7n8lo2_1280.png

(he died fighting the Dragon, but there's always a next time xD)

Nice work on everything. Bummer about the dragon but as you said you'll get him next time.

Thank you =) It's fun and Cole will like you if you choose the Rift Mage spec.

Cole: "You're like me." =D

Lol. That's so Cole. Taking him along for team sausage fest (Iron Bull, Dorian, Cole, Malaioniss) has been awesome. I got a garbage ton of good quotes from the guys. Not to mention I find it interesting on how Cole digs up Iron Bull's childhood horrors on why he is afraid of demons and hits some family oriented nerves with Dorian. Despite him digging things up he seems to mean well. Besides:

Cole: "I am glad we helped".

Hearing that a-lot sounds better than:

Inquisitor: "I think Blackwall would of liked to be here for this".

I can think of some gutter oriented situations that would make that statement sound....

Man I wish this can stick around somehow. I find this to be possibly useful. Dang. I wish I knew where everything is/was. I still wonder how i botched up with Maliaoniss anyway. i wanted to get Celene's blackmail agent

Other_78_zpsgy3un9zp.jpg )

but I oopsed and opened the underground route which got me a coin and that's it. I did pick up on the red circles though where at times your inquisitor will go "boring" or "nothing useful" but after letting random chatter end then going to the circle again you will get "Well that's useful" or something and get +1 to the blackmail quest.

I'm curious. Who was your 4th party member? ouo

Dorian~  favorite co-mage (and my lifeline if I should die  )

Cool. I'll have Cole in my exploring team more often.  :D

Do it, I love having Cole with me  :D I enjoy his conversations with Solas and Dorian.

@Gilli-chan - Great screenshot, with the dragon! Rift Mage is the only mage spec I haven't tried yet, it's nice that Cole appreciates it ^_^

Thank you  :) Yeah, my spec in my first PT was Necro, Cole didn't like it, I felt so sorry  :crying: I'm gonna try KE in my next PT. (which will be Nightmare...Maker help me...)

Nice work on everything. Bummer about the dragon but as you said you'll get him next time.

Thanks. =) Yeah, it's like in my first PT, always the Fereldan Frostback that makes the most problems.

Those three are my Dragon-fight-team xD Yeah, I love taking Cole along too, I always get goosebumps when he's happy x"D

I think my favorite line from Cole is, when you make him more human and talk to him on his spot in the Tavern and say that you'll talk later to him, he'll say:

"I look forward to it."

----

So~ Bruce finished the Fallow Mire, rescued Sutherland and his crew and is now on his way to the dam in Crestwood.

He tried fighting the Frostback, but the party died again xD

Nightmare's not bad. My first and second playthroughs (one on hard, the second on NM) were both KE and I did remarkably well, all things considered. Hope you don't like being a squishy mage, I'm not sure a KE can be considered "squishy" :P

I haven't actually had a chance to play much the last few days. Aud apparently forgot to ask Varric about Bianca, though, because I just talked to him about her and when Aud asked where he got her, he said there's a shop in Kirkwall called the Black Emporium. "I found her in a barrel labeled "swag." The owner sold her to me for a ham sandwich and a pair of yellow ruffled pants." Well that's great, Varric, why won't he accept the excessive amount of breaches Sera gave us, then, hm? Everything is so expensive...

I tried and failed to follow instructions for solving the Dead Hand Puzzle.  It's not a big deal, I just got tired of running into everything in the dark (man, do I hate the floor in Valeska's Watch) and went to go gather herbs.  I'll be able to get it when I have the patience to deal with it.  Still got the mosaic piece.

Valeska's Watch is awful!  Every time I go there I think, "This time I will not fall down the hole." And every time, no matter what class I am, what abilities I use, or where I stand and/or fight, I always fall down the hole.  :pinched:

Maybe next time I'll just hang out by the stairs and let everyone else fight. :?

Marcus didn't get much done today but he did accomplish some goals. He finally made it out to the Forbidden Oasis and hunted near and far for as much witherstalk as he could find. Enough to upgrade all his tonics and grenades, which means he can now be properly equipped to face off against the cold-blowing dragons in Emprise. He also had enough shards to open all but the last Spirit door in the temple. He needs to find a couple more in the Oasis and the last 7 in Emprise, located in dragon territory. He also discovered a secret bunker hiding a nice 2H sword. If he'd found it back when he was level 10 or so it would have been great. But now he's level 22 and toting around the Sulevin Blade instead. Sadly, there's not much in the way of art in the Oasis; just some weird black statues that he can't identify. They don't really look like anything he's seen before though.

You're still OK, I think.  Varric does explain how his crossbow came to him a few different ways.  And, he knows about the Black Emporium from DA2, even if Hawke didn't, because the shop was there, just not visited by Hawke (if you didn't have that DLC.)  I like how your reference the prices.  It does underline the implausibility of how he got her.  I've heard that one (before the DLC was released, this time), the dragon-bone chest, and another one that escapes me, but the random line doesn't mean anything about where you are in the storyline or his approval of you.

Aaaaanh, Dorian

Have you used the same party? Maybe switch Cole/Dorian for S&S warrior (I would change Cole). Killing it might take longer, but there's always that survivability part. And I always kill Dragonlings as soon as they appear. With ice staff (I see you have one) you can almost always one-shot them. But if you let them loose they can attack your back when you least expect them xD

I remember how scared I was before my first nightmare run. I went for dwarven rogue archer. By the time she was lvl 10 she was killing mashine. And I had my whole run in Carta gear, 'cause it looks so cool on dwarven females *o* It's T2 schematic, but who needs protection when enemies are dead before they see you xD

And I went KE for a sword. Not skills, passives or anything. I wanted sword for my mage

Today... I realised I really should return to play Connie. She's my canon Quizzy and I should finish my pt with her, but... I made a worldstate especially for Deo and it's sooooo different from what I normally play that I want to see those changes (and it has Loghain in it).

So, Deo decided to talk with templars. It didn't end well *cough*for them*cough*, because she got pissed. Note: never anger people who are normally really kind.

Spoiler

Now, that she has Cole, she's off to turn in some quests in Hinderlands (approval, yay  :wizard: ). Soon IYHSB...

And...

Yes, I did. I think I'm gonna switch IB for Blackwall. Bull is always the first who dies, idk why  In my last attempt to fight the Dragon, Cole was the last one standing  :D

Actually I have/use two ice staves. Bruce uses the Virulent Staff (upgraded with each a healing grip and blade) and Dorian uses Staff of the Void (idk with what I upgraded it x"D). Funny thing is, the Dragonlings didn't appear in my first fight. The Frostback flew to the ledge and I waited for his babies, but nothing. It was weird xD What I really need is more fire resistance accessories.

That sounds cool, maybe I shouldn't be as scared of it as I am xD Hmmm, this tempts me, to go as a rogue on NM too, but idk. (it's just, I want to romance Solas in my next PT, but I also want to romance Cullen with a mage  :pinched: )

If you really want to take Bull ('cause lets be serious, approval from Bull is worth it), maybe respec him to S&S for that one fight. Also I found him way easier to keep alive after giving him upgraded Unbowed and putting it on priority (to get it you need one of taunting skills, but I always switch that one off). The difference is huge. I don't know if it would work for you, since everyone has different playstyle.

I tend to forget which element my staff has xD Fire staff against fire dragon is... interesting xD

I rarely go for elemental resistance accesories, dunno why. I just don't like them *shrugs*

I found nightmare easy with rogue, especially since I knew archer/assassin mechanics quite well from my previous pts, but that may be different for you....

The hell I'm talking about, go rogue xD

And speaking of romances... NEVER ROMANCE BLACKWALL WITH DWARF! IT'S AWKWARD! Seriously, angles and their height difference were handled sooooo poorly. Maybe except his judgement, I like how it looked here.

 I can't wait to finish IYHSB and start my Solas romance... also Champ spec

here i am wondering how the hell they got the giant mirror of Morrigans in the door?

She looked at it through a backward magnifying glass to shrink it, picked it up with a pair of tweezers, and carried it in.  Either that or she got Gatsi and the construction crew to move it while she supervised.  Can you imagine?  "Watch the finish, that's an antique!  Not that way, you fool, you'll scratch it.  Watch the handle!"

I spent the day collecting loot for my next shopping trip, I mean collecting resources to fund my next intelligence gathering operation.

Ooooh.  Really cool screenies, Gilli-chan!

True~ You know what? I think I'm really just gonna respec him. Not as a S&S but to put the points from his Reaver spec it into Vanguard. (he really could need it :D)

I mostly don't forget it, but I noticed that I prefer ice staves in general (why are they so strong? ) idk how it is to fight a fire dragon with a fire staff, but it was fun to fight Hakkon with an ice staff in my last PT xD
I prefer spirit resistance to other elemental resistance accessories, but sometimes they come in handy.

I'm used to play a double dagger rogue (both my Kita Mahariel and Sabrina Hawke were double dagger rogues), but I don't know how the gameplay changed between DAO/DA2 to DAI, cause I've only played as mages in DAI till now. I think I have to control Cole a little more and practice with him.
When I read your Go Rogue my first thought was:

Edit: What I forgot, I wanted to try MP and went into Routine, just to see that there was someone on Lv 15 and that intimidated me so much, I just quit and went back to SP  (seriously, the only MP experience I have is from playing Mario Kart x"D)

 -snip-

I put points in Reaver spec only if there's nothing more I want xD He can handle himself quite well with 2h + Vanguard (I do that for almost all my pts).

If I take multiple mages, I like to have mixed elements. I think I prefer fire staves, only because there's a chance for burn o 3o

I played dw in both DAO and DA2... and getting DAI dw may be a shock. Although I really enjoyed that sneaking part and with proper skills you can actually be in Stealth almost whole fight. Sneak, attack, stealth, run away and leave rest to Cass xD

That gif is perfect!

Thanks xD I'm in a middle of IYHSB, so wooho

 About MP... I'm strange one and from time to time I play it solo. I have yet to complete it once, but who cares. I like characters there.

Yeah, I've heard this one before the DLC. I'm still at the start of the game (just thought I'd gone through all his dialogue already - guess not), but it amused me that he mentioned it right after I returned from the Emporium with him :P I've heard a good half dozen responses. The most common for me seems to be winning it from Branka in a game of Wicked Grace. She got so mad, she took her entire house and stormed off into the Deep Roads

Maybe I'll get that one next time.

@Gilli-chan - if you decide to risk a virtual itchy beard, you might get a cute reference to it.  I like his romance best of any of them, but I haven't tried Sera's, and it might not be your taste.

BTW, does anyone know what the deal is with the giant human skeletons outside Var Bellenaris and near the Emerald Graves' dragon?  I just found the sack of loot next to the one in the Graves and remembered the ones in the jars by the gate, and noted that since it was holding a maul, and the giants use their arms, it wasn't a giant.  Is there any connection?  Is it the "lost race?"

To quote Jack O'Neill:  They had asses?

Played Inquisition today.  Now onto Adamant fortress and the siege.  but first crafting and talking to all the peoples o the fine Inquisition.  Now she has a red cowboy stetson to go with her red Longbow of the Dragon...hmmm there is a lot of red.  Went to Adamant, and things did not exactly go her way but she did get to troll Cullen so that was cool.  Had to attack the Wardens there at the end. :( But yeah hence roleplaying.  And she had some trouble with some of the Demons there.  And hence she may get her scar after all.  Anways there we go.  Stuck in the fade right now.  May have pics to share.

I'm so sad 'cause in the E3 demo in the Hinterlands, mages can shoot with their hands instead with their staffs and they could move around. :'( Why, biovare?
