Just decided to craft a new staff, only to see that I don't have enough Everite/Stormheart for an Electro-staff -__-

*send Leliana to gather metals*

You are more patient than me!

Do you have EdL open? You can harvest at least 4 Everite per zone-in without fighting anything, two in the river, two just above the first templar camp, behind the logging stand. You can get 10 Everite in the Still Ruins in the Western Approach, with Deft Hands. If you loot-1 glitch the Still Ruins, you can get infinite Everite. ;)

How did you do your renegade/evil PT in DAI? I ask without sarcasm, because I always try to do at least one "Jerk Shep" PT. In DAO I defiled the sacred ashes, let Alistair turn into a drunk, etc. ME* is easy -- though killing everyone killable so that your final ship memorial is full is a challenge (haven't finished that one myself).

In DAI I guess you could acquire all companions and get them all to quit the Inquisition through disapproval? That's a challenge, since few things gain disapproval across the board. You'd really have to work at it.

I'll try and list some of the memorable evil  actions:

Marcus killed Coryfish again. Things played out pretty much the same as he remembered except Leliana was named Divine this time. <_< He took that as a sign he made the right decision when he went back in time, that this is how things are supposed to be. Dorian is staying with the Inquisition for the time being and Marcus is pretty sure he will be able to come up with plenty of reasons for him to stay even longer. First reason is already on the table: explore the Frostback Basin. But that's an adventure for another day.

Does anyone turn on the Pause feature when performing an AOE power? I just realized that turning it off gives the characters special animations, especially that Mark of the Rift ability. Maker, how I love that animation! Reminds me of the game cover(but the game cover is incorrect, sadly).

My rogue playthrough is going well. I just got to skyhold with my level 8 archer.

I sided with the templars and found something interesting that never happened before. When Barris mentions about putting the 3 flags in whatever order the Inquisitor wants, I chose not to. The scene went straight into the room where I encountered the Knight Captain. Instead of Lord Abernache getting killed, he ran away. After killing the envy demon, Lord Abernache apologizes to the Inquisitor. I like this version. He's not a bad character. The only downside is that the player loses out on experience points after doing tha flag thing where he/she can look around the area before entering the room to encounter the Knight Captain

In this playthrough, I've beem picking the bottom right dialogue for most of the time. I have not recruited anyone at this point. I will talk to Dorian and welcome him to the Inquisition.

Since I'm at level 8, I'm tempted to try the dlc and see how that fairs. I can see a lot of crashing and burning.

@themikefest - yeah, that is a pretty cool solution.  Any missing XP will be forgotten when the fighting starts, so really cool.  I would suggest waiting a few more levels before JoH.  JoH isn't scaled, and the difficulty spike gets pretty steep once you leave the 1st camp.  You would really learn new ways to fight, though, in very short lessons.

Not really, but you don't believe what you can do in Skyhold to get 12mins over in no time xD and if it's only going to the garden to get herbs, or tinting armor xD

I have EdL open, but I didn't go there yet.  :o That glitch sounds cool, I'll have to try that some time.

So, here my new staff: Saturated Solid Stick

And I crafted a new armor for Bruce (tho I think it looks a little silly  <_< I just wanted something else than always wearing those coats  <_< )

Making Thedas a better place... for someone.

Spoiler

"IT was short lived"

lawl.

****

So yeah another busy, busy, busy day in the DA universe for me.  Busy but productive.  Lets see started off by selling off all my crap from Adamant then went off to buy an amulet of cunning for myself because....well with my new hat I need more cunning.  Then went to do two judgements, set some war table missions to run and did my thing in the universe.  Then off to the Black Emporium.  Changed up Kara's look a bit.  ( :( )  Gave her the scar, and well it looks painful and I am wincing a bit.  Ma change it, and did up her hair a little.  Also took pictures of all the sliders and positions and stuff to recreate, maybe for later.

After all that was done.  Off to the Storm Coast to shut down the Templars and destroy some Lyrium.  Then decided to try going one round with Vinsomar.  Thought he was level 17 (I'm 16)....and he was 19.  *wince*  Did surpsingly well all things considered.  Was not instantly killed and actually did some damage.  But, had to stop and run away.  Or well...erm...reload.  After that went to seal more Darkspawn tunnels, and then collect more Shards.

Next time finish with the tunnels, then off to the Western Approach...eventually.

Good luck. I suggest you wait until you are level 20 or above. I went in at level 12, because I knew the area from a previous play-through. I just ran to a location where I could buy high-level gear and fast traveled back to Skyhold. That way I could avoid any foes. If they wink you will be dead at low levels. ;)

I'm currently at level 9 now and will do a few more things in the Hinterlands to reach level 10. At that time I might start the dlc and enjoy watching myself getting killed. Since I'm an archer I might head straight for the giant and hopefully kill it from a distance to get all the goodies.

I was a bit surprised by the Before the Dawn chain when I resumed playing last night. It's the first time I got to Maddox and the Shrine of Dumat and heard more about Samson's story (I guess the guy wasn't a total jerk...). After clearing out the red templars and making Dagna happy by getting those lyrium-crafting tools, I dragged my lazy Inquisitor's butt to the Arbor Wilds. I should be getting around to the Temple of Mythal itself at some point (but my Inquisitor will probably continue to be lazy today because I'm trying to finish reading The Scarlet Gospels).

Dwarf Derek playthough on nightmare...

Followed Cassandra along a snowy path and Derek encountered another explosion but it was different as this type caused demons. He managed to salvage a sword and shield nearby (how fortunate! :D) and fought on. I am still not comfortable playing as a warrior but this will probably change in time. An example of my inexperience with this class is during one of the first fights with a couple of shades because I pressed the ability button thinking it would repel the nearby enemies only to find out it was the taunt ability :pinched:

Derek's carta instincts haven't gone completely as he still has a habit of looting dead corpses for gold and entering burning property for loot. His boots are apparently fire resistant as he just walked over the flames casually :P.

Encountered Solas and Varric. It turns out Varric is a prisoner of sorts as well and this has now caused Derek to be more vigilant around Cassandra. It seems that Cassandra has a habit of making dwarves her prisoners :P. Derek and Varric have developed a brotherly bond early because Varric said "shifty smuggler types stick together". Already had a few Cassandra disapproves but I don't think it will develop into a hateful relationship like last time.

Went to the Temple Of Sacred Ashes via the direct route and reached the chamber located at the heart. Tried to close the breach but didn't work completely as Derek only managed to stop the growth. He awoke in Haven in the famous beige pyjamas and people are seeing him as a saviour. This is the first time anyone has called him that and thinks maybe it's time to put the carta life behind him. Needs to see Cassandra next, so he is going to meet her (with caution).

Managed to stay alive with no deaths ^_^.

You should file complaint with Origin that it charged you twice for a single transaction.

Yeah. I'll phone them in the morning. It's after midnight where I live.

To be fair, one should not buy it for its quality. The game offers better armor. For RP it is fine. One of the hands clips through the Stone-Bear Armor, though. So I guess the forums will riot. :P

Buying something like this is like saying thank you for the good times. Mind you, I don't think the game is perfect. Far from it, but I have spend a silly amount of time in this game.
