Wandered aimlessly around the Frostback Basin,, taking in the sights and dealing with the neighbors and pesky wildlife. Got the surprise Despair Demons with minimal fuss, then headed north to find Grandin and whatnot. It might have been a good idea to restock potions as I walked through one of the camps. Oh well, next time.

Dwarf Derek on nightmare...
After speaking with Cassandra and getting the advisor introductions over with, Derek had the opportunity to explore Haven. I decided to give him a more sarcastic personality but has elements of a regretful/whining tone with the tear icon. Spent some time at the crafting table and created a sword and a shield and renamed them "Carta Sword" and "Carta Shield". I know it's not very inventive but I couldn't think of anything creative at the time
.
Derek spoke to Solas and doesn't quite understand all the fade/spirit talk because it goes over his head. So he just thinks that Solas is a bit weird. Travelled to the Hinterland to talk with Mother Giselle and he has a havesting herb complex at the moment in order to improve the potions. Closed a rift and started making some camps to improve the power base. The refugees wanted some food (ramen
) so Derek searched for the food source. It began great and got the ram meat stock to 7/10 but then I couldn't find a ram for about 5 mins. It was though they were hunted to extinction and the fennecs had taken their place. Varric tried to the lighten the mood of the ram slaughter by playing "I Spy" but Cassandra and Co weren't in the mood. Eventually got them all and the refugees will be happy for food.
Derek intends to go to Val Royeaux next.
Melbella - I probably found the Elton John reference funnier than I should. I read it this morning and still find hilarious now

Whew what a day! Started off in the Storm Coast and ended up in the Western Approach! Murdering a lot of Darkspawn on the way.
And...it seems the crafting is taking me a lot longet to do this playthrough then the last playthrough. I am doing less of it, but being more careful. Also not sure how the 'masterwork crafting' done. Anyways, things are going good though. Crafted a new coat, and a new grip for Kara's bow, same dex as before, but the cunning is getting up there. So talked with a bunch of my people and even a few of my advisors. That was fun. Still flirting-with-Cullen-but-not-sure-I'll commit.
So off to the Western Approach, and that quest was still a bit grr worthy The 'trouble with Darkspawn' had to go back and forth back and forth back and forth between there and Skyhold to get to the damn place. And then down to the lace fighting through the territory, all the Darkspawn...then the giant...it was a bit of a let down this tim, more of a slaughter then an even fight. But got through it...about 17 minutes later then I wanted to. :/ grrr. *sigh*
So anyways, not exactly wure where to go from there, about the crafting. When buying new schematics you cannot tell when they are 'tier 3' or 'tier 2' or etc. At least I do not know if you can tell, it does not tell you, and I do not feel like throwing good money away at tier 2 schematics at this point, up to level 16.

I just killed the frostback dragon with my level 15 archer. I've been going from one location to another. As I posted before, this playthrough is doing whatever I feel like doing.
Since there were posts about me fighting that giant in dlc at a low level, I'm going to start another playthrough, as a mage, to see how low a level I can defeat the giant. I will probably start that late tonight or sometime tomorrow.

I fought the urge to go back to Inquisition and decided it was time to start Mark of the Assassin, which I had never tried.
There, Anders is... cute. Makes me sad when he says he wishes they could stay like that forever (love). Looks like Justice let him be himself for once.
I'm liking the humor. So yeah. Let's see what we have.

Banter has been few and far between lately BUT today I got one between Cass and Cole that made me LOL. Cole tells Cass that she won't fall like Clarel did since she isn't afraid. Cass then asks him if he also sensed a hidden pain in Erimond.
His response: "No. Erimond was an a--hole." ![]()
Ah, out of the mouths of babes.
Or, spirits, in this case. He's so adorable.
Marcus and team are still puttering around the Basin. Made a quick return to Skyhold for a couple of war table ops after meeting Thane Sun-hair. While there, the advisors were able to find the last 2 throne accessories he needed for a complete set.
I also took a gander at the special deliveries box and was disappointed. All the Avvar DLC armor and schematics I got were medium grade.
So, unless I craft them out of ignore-armor-class materials, only rogues will be able to wear them. Why didn't it include all three types??! It's not like the Avvar don't have warriors and mages.....grrrrr.

Wow. Learned a few lessons today. I learned how the fade-touched spider reappears somewhere else after you think you killed it. As usual, I wasn't using the staff I made for the occasion, and everything on the quickbar was electrical, so I kept an eye on the crew and followed it.

After that, he did Cassandra's Promise of Destruction quest and her romance scene. ![]()

Finished HLtA with Deo. It was quite interesting, because the world state Deo uses is different from what I'm used to.
*cough*Loghain*cough*
After that there was a time for mandatory talks with companions. Varric, Cole and Leliana needed help, but Deo had some time to help. She surely avoid her duties.
Since I got quite addicted to playing with Flycam, I discovered something...
I'm not the first one to discover it, but it's a nice feeling when I discover things like that all by myself ouo
...and it turned out Obsidian is totally Deo's favourite material.

Worked my way through the Fallow Mire & Storm Coast today. (Dwarf rogue archer, 6th playthrough.)
2 amusing incidents stood out. Firstly Vivienne was just about to light a veilfire beacon & summon demons when Sera, with impeccable timing, ruined the moment by suddenly announcing she needed a pee.
Secondly I'd just bent down to harvest a herb when a firebolt from an unseen dragonling just off-screen whistled over my head nearly setting my newly-acquired Inquisitor hat on fire!

I just indulged into one of my favorite past times in Skyhold.
Trying to jump on the tower next to Herald's Rest. And I did it!
Then I tried to jump onto the broken wall, first I couldn't get Bruce to not slide down, bit then I hit jump at the right time and.....ended up in the wall. XD

Back with pics of Dhiren's adventure at Therinfall Redoubt-

A pep talk from the noble before they entered the gates
Barris voices his concerns with Dhiren about the Order before he meets the Knight-Captain
Of course things are crazy and before he knows it, Dhiren is caught in some weird dream world where he met someone (or something) named Cole who helped him navigate the world.
With the help of Cole, Dhiren is able to escape the weird dream world. The creature that whisked him there was not happy.
Dhiren regroups with the party and Cassandra is flabbergasted at the turn of events. Barris seems to know more about the demon that held Dhiren in the weird dream world.
After helping find the remaining templar lieutenants and an untainted supply of lyrium, Dhiren and the party along with Cole head off to fight the demon. Here's the pre-fight taunting of the demon. {Fight was too hectic to capture shots during
}
After they wiped the floor with the demon, it was time to decide what to do with the Templars. There was still the matter of the Breach needing to be dealt with. The Templars stood before Dhiren and the Breach arrived, he felt they should stand after so he allied with them instead of disbanding them.
The advisors were not happy with Dhiren's decision to make them allies and allow them to stay independent. He didn't care though. Tough decision needed to be made and he made it.
I wonder how Dorian will feel about Dhiren going after the Templars instead of the mages. Guess we'll see at Skyhold since he won't see him until then.

I'm playing around in the Keep, trying to create a worst possible everyone-who-can-die-does-die scenario and I'm wondering.....is it possible to have both Loghain and Alistair executed at the Landsmeet, and then the Warden die killing Archy? Hmmm....now that I've typed it out, I guess the game requires you to have a second Warden for the final battle so.....nuts. ![]()
Edit: Got a question for those using PJ mods: can I have more than 1 installed at a time if they are for different Inquisitors? I know I can't have multiple ones for say, female elf, at once, but what about for both male and female? Or human and elf?

Well since i don't have to much to report than this:
Instead of rushing to taking down Corypheus I decided to hit the DLC instead. I sacked a good chunk of the map except the east side.
I'm not sure why/how those not-Fade scenes turned out so well, but they did. I didn't use any flycam (although it's been a temptation) nor any texture upgrades. Most of my settings were between Medium-High, save Meshes and Textures on Ultra. Since my vid card died and locked up my computer in the process, I don't know if the game got a chance to save after the mirror. If that's the case, then I'll be back around here again and show you guys how it looks. I have missed this thread.
I have been playing DAI on my XBOX 360 and have been using a HP M417 camera. I admit a kind of F'd up the camera a tad bit (covered flash when taking a picture at one point on accident because I thought I took the flash mode off). I also got a new TV since my DAO/ MASS EFFECT TRILOGY picture (just burned out). I have noticed if there is to much blue on screen skin tones become blue which makes me like meh. I kind of blame backlash too.
You can play as a new Warden in Awakening, but you can't import a dead HoF to do it; you have to start fresh instead. The import mechanic is all messed up. I'm not sure it's been fixed in the Keep either?
Mondo bazarro. Way back from what i read about DAA before it came out I remember reading an article from BIOWARE where they clearly said "you can import you dead warden save file but your character will be a 'new warden' filling in for the dead warden". If BIOWARE fully did away with this then barfaroni.
PS i tossed Azul Hwallo in favor of a Qunri fem mage on NIGHTMARE.

R.I.P. Azul Hwallo. I didn't finish her but I do plan on posting my new Qunari mage pictures soon. Also i am planning on playing my qunari mage similar to how I did Azul.
