You know, with each post you get me closer to replaying DA2.

This.Killed.Me.
Currently I'm installing DAI on my pretty, really pretty new PC. I'll most likely install DAO and DA2 as well, but I'll leave that for tomorrow. I really want to see what my beauty can do o 3o

Dwarf Derek on nightmare...
Went to Val Royeaux to confront some clerics, where Derek tried to convince the Orlesian populace that he doesn't profess to be a herald of have any holy powers. He isn't Andrastian and doesn't believe in the Stone as he just wants peace restored to the land (I know that sounded a little cheesy
). He didn't have enough gold to do any Orlesian shopping either so returned to Haven.
Decided to romance Cassandra and this will be only the second romance path (so it's kind of exciting to experience something different). Derek isn't a lothario though as the first flirty option taken resulted in getting disapproval from her
. The focus shifted to a recruitment drive and Derek travelled to a back alley (on the advice of some notes scattered on the street). He met an Orlesian noble (I liked this NPC because of his overdramatic nature) but soon received an arrow to the gullet. Recruited Sera and she seems to get along with Derek because of his sarcastic tone.
Next up was Vivienne, Derek was besmirched by a fellow party goer and Vivienne interjected herself into the argument. She asked what should happen to the ice sculpture and Derek let Vivienne decide. Vivienne gave the noble a tongue lashing and decided to let him scurry away (Vivienne isn't so bad after all
). A conversation in the hallway lit by moonlight was a perfect opportunity for a flirt attempt but Vivienne dismissed Derek's interest with a pity chuckle. Vivienne was still recruited and she will be surgically attached to Derek's hip henceforth (taken everywhere because of my favouritism
).
Back at Haven, Josephine was interested in Derek's smuggling background and asked if it was limited to just smuggling. Derek didn't want to sugar-coat his murky past and admitted "It was more violent than that!". Josephine didn't want to delve any further into the specifics and asked if he still liked that life. Derek had another cringe worthy flirt attempt and chose the "I'm hoping you like bad boys" option
.
Derek now has the underworld knowledge perk and ventured forth to recruit Iron Bull and Blackwall. Both were recruited and now Derek has a full house of companions to choose from. Derek went round Haven to interrogate/speak to his companions to learn everything about them. It is an inquisition after all so it's best to ask all the questions and leave no stone unturned. His expert detective skills managed to uncover that Vivienne is a mage, Iron Bull is a Qunari, Blackwall is a Warden and Sera has friends
(so if Herald doesn't work out, he can always be a super sleuth). Finished the day by conquering some landmarks in the Hinterlands.

It's when you ask her about... well, her, right? What I found interesting is that it actually changes if you ger her approval high enough before asking her about herself. Not only what she says to Inquisitor changes, but also her reaction. For example, no disapproval for flirt option.
DAI installed on my beauty. First time getting game running... Woooooow...

Just played a little MP again. It was fun, but somehow MP gives me a headache X__x
I wonder if I should switch my Lvl 13 Keeper for my Lvl 1 Viruoso. Haven't played him yet, but I'm tempted to be full support instead of half guard/half shocker.
I think I'm gonna play a little with Bruce again, I just don't know, if I should clear Emerald Graves first, or if I should face the Abyssal High Dragon again. I don't want to do Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts yet. =/
Oh~ and I ordered The Stolen Throne, Asunder, The Masked Empire and Last Flight from Thalia. Have to order The Calling from a different place, they only had it as audio book. ![]()

The other day I went back to a previous save when I was level 6 to try the Champions of the Just quest. I was terrified to go back and feel awkward without my specialization, but it went well (after crafting the best possible stuff I could for that level, and respeccing everyone now that I knew better).
Things I liked:
-Disbanding the templars. What a pleasure. Most of my companions did not agree, though. Well, too bad.
-More Cole
-I told Vivianne that I was not there for enabling lyrium addicts (poor guys, but I was feeling kind of mean).
-Dorian's appearance in Haven is really cool. By the end of the game I respected him a lot and saw him as a heroic character, but that entrance makes him shine bright like a diamond right from the beginning, baby.
I like In Hushed Whispers much better because I'm a sucker for time travel and I think it's more entertaining. But it was interesting to try Champions of the Just too. And I'd like to meet Calpernia.

My housemate (who has become an MP addict in 2? 3? days) tried a Virtuoso and it looked like fun!
You sound just like my kind of player. Sorry I can't join you. MP isn't for me though, what with my addiction to the pause button and tempermental internet. I kind of look at this forum as my version of multiplayer.
Your approach is one I can understand because the pause button is my friend too.
The first time I played a multiplayer game was with Mass Effect and I did it only because I was forced to. I ended up liking it and got used to the no-pause dynamic, but as you see, I'm still hesitant to try others. I'm too afraid to look like an idiot XD Hell, I still feel that EVEN when I go back to the ME multiplayer.

The no-pause allowed definitely takes getting used to. The other thing I learned quickly from ME3MP is to use hotkeys for powers. Before that I was using the mouse to pick everything which is of course much slower. It really improved my SP game experience. DAI needs more power combo explosions.

Cool =D It also sounds like fun. He makes music and is support, that sounds like the Songstress dressphere from Final Fantasy X-2 all over again.
(I looove FF X-2, probably the only RPG I played more than DA (all games together))

Also, travelled to the Storm Coast with Cassandra, Varric and Vivienne to eliminate the Red Templars and finished Varric's "Seeing Red" quest. Everyone reached level 18 afterwards. Haha.. Love playing Julian as a DW Tempest! He kills enemies at supersonic speed!

Well, it's a sad day in DAI-land. It's time to say good-bye to Marcus.
I think he's turned out to be my favorite Inqui so far (and, no, not just because I think he's pretty...ahem...easy on the eyes
). Not that I would notice something like that.....
Sigh....I can't believe I'm jealous of Dorian! ![]()
Anyway, his last official act as Inquisitor Trevelyan was to adopt recruit Storvacker. Then he dragged Dorian, Varric, and Cole all the way back to the Hissing Wastes to find 2 tiny notes in the ginormous desert. He also may have ran around on his new white hart, and even let Dorian and Cole each take him for a spin as well. Varric said no thanks in a hurry.
On the way back, he did some shopping in Val Royeaux. One can never have enough beds, window glass, or draperies, right? He bought all the mounts Master Dennet had to offer, but still came up two short: 1 hart and 1 exotic is missing. Not sure what they are or how to get them??
Final stats for Marcus (pre/post JoH):
Char. lvl: 24/27 (about 50K from max)
Inq. lvl: 17/18 (did not buy any power/influence this time)
Power: 223/271
Gold: 71541/40232
Divine: Softened Leliana (in alt timeline: Cassandra)
Romance: Dorian (in alt timeline: Cassandra)
Not sure what I will do next. I have a barely started DAA game I could finish and then import into DA2 (say hi, Fenris
). I already have my next DAI character started; she is using a default world state (first time for that) but I think I might wait a bit before continuing with it. Since I can't seem to ignore anything, all my games tend to take a long time. I felt guilty in my pseudo-speedrun when I walked by any kind of loot and didn't pick it up. ![]()

So to change things up a bit (and challenge myself), Kale went to get the Dwarves help first, but sadly Alistair is not fairing well with her plan.
Can he even lift a sword with that many injuries??? ![]()
I remember my first DAO game....I was sorely unprepared for Orzammar. I hadn't discovered the joy that is crafting (and hoarding) health potions yet, so I was always on the brink of disaster. I think Al is well past it though, by that screenie! ![]()

Finally however I've resumed Kubrie's adventures. When I left her, she had just finished slaying the Northern Hunter in Crestwood, the first of many such slayings before her adventure is done. Josephine has already set aside a trophy room in Skyhold for all the nobles to visit and marvel over, and it'd look kinda silly to have only one dragon skull on display. Am thinking it's time to take on the Fereldan Frostback next, but we could also investigate a couple of things on the Storm Coast as well. There have been reports of darkspawn activity there, and Bull has also arranged a meeting (or something) with the qun'ari with hopes of a potential alliance (or something). I dunno if I'm ready for that, though. That's The Charger Decision dun dun dun, and I'm probably gonna chicken out of my plan to sacrifice them. I'm blaming the new Mass Effect Andromeda trailer, and the fact that Krem is voiced by Jennifer Hale.
*ahem* Anyway. Been getting re-acquainted with the game and controls by touring around Skyhold and talking with everyone. Kubrie just went to say hi to Solas and sometime later woke up in her bedroom, alone, with no memory of how she got there. Creepy.

Nukem rediscovered the joy of crafting through using a holistic approach to designing a perfect weapon. Check stats. Wow, magic's way out of proportion to willpower and constitution. Eventually arrived at a balance between willpower and constitution, but it took forever.
Can't remember where the Hissing Wastes dragon is supposed to be, so I'll check the guide. Meanwhile, Nukem will be playing with some lurkers.

I finally had time to check out different zones, spells, etc. more carefully.
I'm speechless. Emerald Graves are so green! And... are those butterflies? And in Frostback Basin... are those flies around torches? Everything is so smooth... especially movements of my Quizzy... Wait? Is water moving while I walk? I'm a little overwhelmed...
I feel like I'm discovering Thedas once again.

So after a long break, I started a new playthrough on Hard. This is my third Mage Inquisitor (making it 3 of 3 Inquisitor mages. I do love my mages!)
She is young (the youngest of those three), curious, kind, a bit idealistic, and more a scholar than a warrior. She is also a little scared of Cassandra (this is still Haven though), and of all her companions she likes Solas best. Solas seems to like her too, he already calls her "lethallan" (and da'len. My heart melted when he called her da'len). Cassandra in the meantime disapproves of pretty much everything, which is pretty amazing. My previous Inquisitors were best friends with Cassandra from the start, but it all seems to go downhill with her quickly if you roleplay a more gentle character.
Oh, and Blackwall suddenly informed my sweet and completely inexperienced girl he was at her feet. Now she thinks Blackwall is weird.
This is also the first time I recruited templars instead of mages (I'm an ardent mage supporter, but this PT I wanted to get Cole asap), and I was pretty disappointed with Champions of the Just. In Hushed Whispers is more interesting story-wise IMO, plus i really HATE everything time-gated, so a large part of the mission was a major pain for me. Moreover, seeing Cullen hate my Inquisitor was a heartbreaker! (I have a soft spot for Cullen, I admit). Oh well, at least I got a few free attribute points... and, I finally get to meet Calpernia!
So, now to explore Valammar, and I can move on to closing the Breach. I'm in no hurry though... I suddenly realize I might like Haven more than Skyhold ![]()
