Yep. It's always been there.

I'm going to be perpetually out of likes until I get caught up. It could take a while, but I don't mind. :) ...Thank you, at least I know I'm not crazy, just unobservant. Something of which I've been accused before, heh. Guess I really should take the time to look up once in awhile.

So after a long break, I started a new playthrough on Hard. This is my third Mage Inquisitor (making it 3 of 3 Inquisitor mages. I do love my mages!)

Spoiler

She is young (the youngest of those three), curious, kind, a bit idealistic, and more a scholar than a warrior. She is also a little scared of Cassandra (this is still Haven though), and of all her companions she likes Solas best. Solas seems to like her too, he already calls her "lethallan" (and da'len. My heart melted when he called her da'len). Cassandra in the meantime disapproves of pretty much everything, which is pretty amazing. My previous Inquisitors were best friends with Cassandra from the start, but it all seems to go downhill with her quickly if you roleplay a more gentle character.

Oh, and Blackwall suddenly informed my sweet and completely inexperienced girl he was at her feet. Now she thinks Blackwall is weird.

This is also the first time I recruited templars instead of mages (I'm an ardent mage supporter, but this PT I wanted to get Cole asap), and I was pretty disappointed with Champions of the Just. In Hushed Whispers is more interesting story-wise IMO, plus i really HATE everything time-gated, so a large part of the mission was a major pain for me. Moreover, seeing Cullen hate my Inquisitor was a heartbreaker! (I have a soft spot for Cullen, I admit). Oh well, at least I got a few free attribute points... and, I finally get to meet Calpernia!

So, now to explore Valammar, and I can move on to closing the Breach. I'm in no hurry though... I suddenly realize I might like Haven more than Skyhold

Welcome back to Thedas. I haven't hidden the thread for quite some time, as you can see.

Bruce went to the Emerald Graves again and continued Cullen's Before the Dawn quest. He found all smuggler letters and brought them to Cullen, who said Bruce had to go to Emprise du Lion. I think I'm send him to do first Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts. Otherwise I end up doing all side missions again like last time. (I think Bruce is already overleveled for WEWH  )

So, I finally built up the courage to try the MP again with my Lvl 1 Keeper. (Routine/Elven Ruins)

1. Enter a Lobby with two other Keepers. - I quit because I think we might be too many Keepers.

2. End up in a Lobby alone and decide to solo to get to know my Keeper. - I'm not even through the first door when.... disconnect

3. Go back into MP, again end up alone in the Lobby. - Just went through the door and ready to fight an Venatori archer when again disconnect.

4. Enter a Lobby with a Lvl 13 Katari as host. - I follow the Katari, who fights against Red Templars, so I try to help by shocking them with chain lightning. Katari decides to run off, while I'm still fighting Templars without doing much damage. A moment later I end up in the Lobby. No idea what happened.

5. Enter another game. I think with the same Katari + two other charas. I kill two enemies and turn to shock some others when the game says Level Complete. Seems I joined right at the end.   My Keeper leveled up to Lvl 4.

6. Enter another Lobby. Empty again, so I go alone. My only enemies are some wraiths and nugs. Then I accidentally hit a Druffalo with chain lightning. It didn't like that and run me over. Instant kill.

Spoiler

7. Enter a Lobby with a Lvl 13 Archer. We make a good team, he kills everyone and I barrier him/shock the others. We get to the zone where you have to guard someone for Leliana. Well, the messenger outlived us...... At least my Keeper levels up to Lvl 6 and I finally decide to go to the shop. I open some free chests and get some random stuff, many potions, grey items and suddenly Virtuoso!   :o Didn't see that coming.   :D

8. I join a Lobby with the same Lvl 13 Archer.  Around zone 2 or 3 a Templar joins us. First I didn't see the life bar over their head and tried to shock them, cause I thought they were an enemy.   I'm sorry. There where so many enemies around. As an apology I casted barrier at once. The Templar then went on killing everything, while the Archer and I played support. One zone later a Lvl 6 Necro joins us and we four make it to the flag. I'm the first to die, the Archer and Necro follow soon and then it's the Templar against the Venatori Boss, while we watch from the Fade. A moment later the Templar joins us and we see Game Over. But it was fun.   :D

9. I join a Lobby with the Lvl 6 Necro from before. We're not bad, but the Necro dies and I try to revive them, just to get bit to death by a Mabari. Stupid dog.

Wow, either you were very unlucky, or I was very lucky my first time out.

I went as a Keeper also, there was a level 1 archer and a couple of level 8-ish warriors. I was completely lost and just followed the L8's around. They kept doing something weird. They'd run back to me and the other noob, do some kind of command, stand still for a few seconds, and then run back to the front line. So we'd follow to the front line Then some boss would come out and wipe out us two noobs, but the L8's would revive us.

Finally, I figured out what the L8's were trying to tell us --- STAY HERE OUT OF THE G-DAMN WAY CUZ A BOSS IS COMING AND WILL EAT YOU ALIVE!

Lol, I have to say, I was really impressed with that willingness to help out a couple of stupid noobs.

I'd say I was unlucky and am/was not used to use barrier. I never use barrier in SP. Who needs a barrier if I can just freeze people where they stand.

When I had figured out how to use my Keeper it was fun, but the few attack spells were a bit annoying. I'm a freeze/burn person, don't give me only lightning spells.  :?
Today I switched to my Virtuoso and omg it's so much fun! *__* Leveled up a little to Lvl 7 and decided to go Routine/Random and ended in the Fereldan Castle with a Katari, an Elementalist and a Keeper. They called the Dragon and We. Won!

Nice work! Virtuoso really seems like fun from what I've read.

Restarted Crestwood, because I wanted to explore this rainy area with new settings. Lightnings totally startled me.

And I finally found out from where that heavy-dragon-breathing was coming. I feel stupid for discovering this just now >.<

Cool. I didn't know that dragon is asleep in Crestwood. I thought the only sleeping dragons were Sandy Howler and Highland Ravager.

Back on Mr Cathair Lavellan today, and the first thing up was to send Cullen to protect clan Lavellan from ‘bandits’. I’m pretty sure that Josie > Cullen > Cullen will lead to them all surviving. There is a method that involves Leliana... but last time I tried it, they all died.

The party went to deal with ‘Freemen of the Dales’ in the Emerald Graves. Lavellan will have you chaps know that the only Freemen of the Dales are the Dalish. You don’t get to desert from your army and start squatting on Dalish heritage. He’s picked up a lovely double-bladed dagger, so all his attacks involve whirling and pirouettes. Very pretty to watch! It also distinguishes him from Cole’s ‘repeated stabbing’ style.
Cole: Your sword is big.
Blackwall: *snickers*
Cole: It’s bigger than mine.
Blackwall: Now you’ve just made it weird.
Tsk, double Sera’s age and just as childish! I see why she likes your company.

They headed up to giant-and-bronto land to get the red templar letters. In a fit of suicidal bravado, they challenged two giants to a fight. For a while, it seemed ok (if by ok I mean “they drank all the potions”). When Dorian and Cole were cut down for the 100th time, Lavellan entered stealth and watched Blackwall. He’s not planning on running away, I swear. Just deciding on a strategy. :P Anyway, when I checked the health bars and saw they had about 10,000 health left (with Blackwall doing about 5dps), we gave it up as a bad job and ran away.

Onto safer places, Lavellan met up with Josie in Val Royeaux. Leliana’s people had taken care of that contract so  quickly, no assassins were able to get close to Josephine. She shared some stories with him, against a pretty backdrop of the harbour.
Spoiler

Lavellan attempted to get Dorian’s amulet back, but the sleazy little merchant wanted to extort them instead. Lavellan agreed, and that just made Dorian annoyed. Why so difficult, moustache man? He only wants you to be happy.  :P

I'm going to be behind for a while because i decided to indeed go "What did you do today in the DA verse" as opposed to DAI because I started up DRAGON AGE ORIGIN's and started up a male noble rouge. I may even start up a outcast male dwark rouge and a female cityelf warrior on DAO. However for my screenies I may take a page out of Birefringent's playbook and put in my own dialog for my pictures. However i did hit up Draven Vollsa Sera on the DLC and took some screenies. I am a bit tired at the moment so I am not really in the mood to edit 89 pictures. I did learn something interesting though from DAO. There was a battle between the Howe's and the Couslands years before DAO started at a fort called 'Fort Callenheld'. the interesting factor is in DAI (10 years later after DAO) you ACTUALLY enter the place....or at least what's left of it. It's in the Hinderlands.

MP has been driving me batty to be honest. Here's why:

1: Loaded up lvl 17 archer. Chose quick match and highest difficulty setting. Found myself in a super duper laggy game where I cannot move. Dragon was killed. We won. ><.

2: Loaded up lvl 17 archer. Chose quick match and highest difficulty setting. Found myself in a super duper laggy game where I cannot have my character move in a straight line at all. i quit the game.

3: Tried out Virtuoso (I don't know how I got it by the way) at the easiest difficulty. Despite being new to the AT I survived and my team won.

4: Loaded up lvl 8 assassin. Chose quick match and medium difficulty.  Found myself in a super duper laggy game where I cannot have my character move in a straight line at all. i quit the game.

5:  Loaded up lvl 8 assassin. Chose quick match and medium difficulty. Had a stable connection but I had a Katari who insisted on rushing everything. I was playing it careful. Team won. (put Katari on avoid because he was insisting on rushing everything and kept having his character say "COME HERE!" which was driving me nuts because I was trying to play tactical and flank my foes and not bum rush everything. not to mention I needed certain people to open certain doors so we can flank but again the other three were rushing while I wasn't trying to).

6: Loaded up lvl 15 Templar. Chose quick match and medium difficulty. I got hit by a fireball spat by a dragon which downed me. A female legionare kept insisting on reviving me when I was near the fire. i did appreciate the revival but I was disgusted with this current team and previous team insisting on rushing. I kept walking into the fire to burn myself over and over again. i quit because I was very unhappy. (put the other two players on avoid for being to aggressive).

7: Loaded up lvl 11 keeper.  Chose quick match and medium difficulty. The above six situations left me unhappy so I dropped out and kicked on single player.

I get more misses than hits with DAI's multi player because I feel like none of the team I ever team with have ever played NIGHTMARE for the single player on the campaign mode.

Got tired quickly of the DA2 look for my Kale in Origins, so I redid the game (didn't feel like cheating with a mod and fixing her look using saves, and wanted to change her personality a bit too), so I made a new Kale without any mods for her face and ears, and she's just gorgeous! It's no wonder Loghain called her pretty. Lol

0caDVVm.jpg?1

She is pretty!

I started up DAO myself. I'll try to put in my pictures too myself but it's going to take a while since I got 89 picture to edit already.

Cool. I didn't know that dragon is asleep in Crestwood. I thought the only sleeping dragons were Sandy Howler and Highland Ravager.

The third Du Lion Dragon starts off asleep too. It had quite the meal because you find bones n stuff on the way down to it. Lol.

I tried the multiplayer since today the PS3 was free when I arrived home (yay!).

After reading this thread, I decided to try an Avvar since I was afraid to go as a Keeper and find myself surrounded by more Keepers XD My housemate (already an expert after 3 days) gave me some tips.

It was good, actually, pretty fun. My Avvar could help the party by destroying some walls and got to kill some enemies. The other players seemed to be from Brazil (why were they all from there?), and at one point there were two Keepers in the party. They were strong and nice to my poor Avvar, long live the Brazilian Keepers.

My fav Inquisitor is a female Lavellan. Her story and romance actually adds to the main plot in a way that makes it feel canon to me, while the other romances are like breaks in the game for fun and fluff.

Question on multiplayer....is voice chat enabled like it is for ME3?

It's well hidden. If you find the ruin where the battle happens, read the Codex note and peer over the edge, you can see the dragon way, way, way down at the foot of the cliff, on the dry side of the dam. When you drain the lake, you flood it's nest. That's why it's so huffy when it flies overhead.

Yeah =/ Oh, same, I'm too nice too, otherwise I would've just left him there. Idk I started playing MP, because I wanted to practice a little until one of my friends can get DAI, (she doesn't have internet atm) so we can play together in the future.

Should've continued with Bruce, but I dislike WEWH  :pinched: not even because of the court approval, but because I don't like getting rushed. It makes me nervous and then I miss stuff. =/
