Today, Bull made Kubrie an offer in her chambers in such a way that made it seem like her idea. She would discover that he was very good at this little game. What surprised her was that she kinda liked it, and she acknowledged that she did indeed wish to ride the Bull.
Alright, I wasn't gonna say it and then thought, what the hell. Bull tried to impress her with a show of physicality, pinning her wrists over her head and pressing in close, but she liked that, too. Twice he gave her an opportunity to back out of the arrangement, saying that she really didn't know what she was getting into... but she's a qun'ari too, even if she wasn't raised with the Qun. She simply said, "A little slower, and a lot harder." ...I think I love my my qun'ari inquisitor, heh

*ahem* The next day, it was time to go to the Western Approach, so they did. "They" being Varric, Blackwall, and Vivienne. Bull looked like he was the one who needed a little rest after the night before

and Dorian was stewing over a letter from his father...either that, or he finally found someone to peel grapes for him

...Truth is, there were some minor Inner Circle quests to do here: A couple old grey warden things to find for Blackwall, a couple red lyrium veins to destroy for Varric, and a Circle Mage Tome to find for Vivienne.
So they did all of that, in addition to wiping out numerous venatori encampments, white claw raider encampments, a couple of dungeons -- including one of my favourites in the game; the Still Ruins, and Coracavus, where a giant dropped a couple rocks on Kubrie's head. Silly giant. We toyed with a few astrariums, found a bunch of shards, wiped out some darkspawn, closed some rifts, and tried to make a dent in the local varghest, quillback, phoenix, and hyena populations. Of course, no matter how many they killed, there were always more and more and more.
We captured Griffon Wing Keep and Echoback Fort, briefly swapping out Blackwall for Cassie here so she could track down another rogue on her hit list. We caught up with Hawke and Alistair and discovered what the grey wardens were up to. Silly grey wardens. Why are they so afraid of blights that they would turn to blood magic and ritual sacrifice to prevent one? Haven't they successfully stopped the first five blights in the usual way? At any rate, Erimond is a coward and an ass and Kubrie is looking forward to separating his head from his shoulders soon enough.
We also met one Frederic of Serrault and got wrapped up in his dragon studies. So wrapped up in fact that it appeared we were preparing to slay another dragon. First we had to return to Skyhold and get an ancient book on Draconology translated for the man. It was good though. It gave Kubrie a chance to run around and talk with everyone again.
Did I say that was good?
Cassie wants to find the missing seekers. She also likes trashy romances and secretly hopes Varric is working on the next chapter of his Swords and Shields serial.
Varric wasn't in fact working on the serial, but would write it as a favor to Kubrie, if he could be there when she gave to Cassie. Sigh. Those two.
Solas wants to free a captured spirit friend.
Josie wants to go to Val Royeaux because her family isn't rich enough.
Sera wants to make some wine in Verchiel.
Cullen is addicted to lyrium, and a pretty good chess player.
Cole is burning turnips and leaving plums on windowsills... or is that the other way around? Kubrie gets a headache whenever she talks to the strange young man.
As mentioned above, Dorian is stewing over a letter from his father, and Kubrie may have to drag him by the ear to the meeting in Redcliffe.
Vivienne is surprisingly content for the moment, as is Blackwall.
Which leaves Iron Bull. They discussed some ground rules for the future of their relationship. My My. I gotta say, I'm glad I never spoiled the details of Bull's romance for myself before playing it out first. I liked how Bull brushed off the idea of playing a different role in the relationship and maintained being the one in charge... passively though, saying things like, "you don't have to be afraid, unless you want to." it's a very different kinda romance dynamic, and certainly intriguing.
Turns out that Kubrie needs a dragon's tooth to make the Necklace of Kadan for the two of them, so they will never really ever be apart again. Good thing they met Frederic today

Actually it turns out that since I've already slain the Northern Hunter and the Fereldan Frostback, I already have dragon's teeth to spare and can complete that requisition any time...but it feels more romantic to find out you need a dragon's tooth and
then go out and get one, if you know what I mean.
So that's where Kubrie is at the moment. Back in the Western approach, ready to lay down five piles of stinky dragon bait to summon a dragon to get a tooth to make a necklace to break and give half to the man who likes to slap her on the bum before making out with her... which she surprisingly enjoys. Yeesh. Varric couldn't make this up if he tried
