So, in replaying Awakening after so many DAI runs, it seems like many things the Inquisitor does/can do, have already been done, at least somewhat, by the Warden. I had forgotten that after you get back to Blackmarsh from the Fade that you have to close the tears the Baroness/Pride demon creates (the Warden also closes tears in Witch Hunt and doesn't have Justice around to put the whammy on their weapons first). And, of course, the Warden also is the first to recruit a spirit exiled from the Fade as a companion. I wonder if the similarity was intentional, or just forgotten? <_<

Spoiler

I've done all main quests and can start the end game anytime, but I still have a few side quests left, mostly in the Wending Wood. I think Natia is going to side with the Architect. For her, anything that can help keep the darkspawn away from Orzammar is a good thing. I think probably the only companion who will approve is Velanna, but if she saves Amaranthine first, hopefully the rest won't disapprove too much. :?

I noticed that too! We were already sealing "rifts" before it was the in thing to do in DA!  And I found Justice a lot like Cole.

I started a playthrough as a female elf. Her name is Dudu because I always give my characters the silliest names (I have no patience to think of cool names).

I feel like a cheater because I made the Vallaslin completely invisible. I know this will make things weird in a future scene, but oh well. I should think of a reason... maybe ignore the backstory given by the game and think of her as a rebel who left her clan before the ritual, hehe.

And I lied in the World State I imported this time. I said Alistair was with the Wardens (and romanced a noble dwarf). Which is not my preferred option... Alistair should be king! Always king! XD But I want to see the content of him as a Warden, so yeah.

I don't think I'll be able to kill Alter!Alistair, but I also don't know if I'll be strong enough to sacrifice Hawke in this case... the problem being that I used the Hawke that romanced and spared Anders this time (the last time I used a Hawke who romanced Anders but killed him). I don't think Anders would react well to the death of a Hawke who has been taking care of him and keeping him/Justice at bay. Maybe him not having that safety net would be a problem in the future. Oopsies.

My elf should be careful, check Skyhold for explosives XD I'll see what I'll do when the time comes.

I decided to take Solas on one last adventure, at the Temple of Dirthamen.

No idea what's going on here, but...weird.  It's as if Nukem's glowing.

Destroying the Highest One with lightning and fire.

And for once, I didn't even have to look to find the exit.

Wow.

I see everyone were busy while I was away :)

Connie had dragon hunting day. But to tell full story...

Exalted Plains. Viv still needed heart and there was that fort with idiots trapped inside. That trip turned out to be ladies party - Connie, Cassandra, Vivienne and Sera. Suprisingly they were nicely working together... although sometimes it looked like Vivienne wants to shoot Sera. While they were searching for heart, they 'accidentally' walked on dragon. Yay for having wrong staff once again!

Spoiler

Then, after short visit at Skyhold and small talk with Vivienne, Connie took Solas, Sera and Cassandra to Western Approach. There were two things she needed to do - get her shiny new keep and take down dragon. First - the keep. While going there Connie checked that huge door which's twin couldn't be opened. No luck here either ("That's the grandmother of all locks. We're not getting in here."). After getting new keep and changing Solas for Bull, the party took down Abyssal High Dragon (I spent half of the time making screenshots...).

Spoiler

Since the dragon hunting went so nice, Connie decided to take down Vinsomer (crazy girl). It took all heath potions, around 9 reg potions and a lot of ressurecting Dorian and Bull, but Connie's party managed to take her down.

Spoiler

Now she's level 18 and still haven't done Here Lies the Abyss... I'm not sure what to do next. HLtA or finish Western Approach. I only have Servis to track down...

Also, after a bit of thinking I changed color of Vallaslin of my elven lady I created for Solas. She turned out quite alright... and I start to feel sorry for her. Her poor heart...

Playing through Jaws of Hakkon. The more I learn about the Avvar the more I kind of wish Anders went to them to help him with Justice, either to work with Justice better or to separate from the Spirit.

Finished up Awakening and moved on to Witch Hunt. I decided to skip over Golems because....eh, the companions suck. Also, I didn't want to fight the Harvester on Hard again. I do like the creepy atmosphere though.

Natia took Sigrun, Velanna, and Nate with her to protect Amaranthine and later attack the Mother. She decided to ally with the Architect, which Sigrun didn't like, and it knocked her approval down far enough that she left for her calling rather than stick around afterwards. Anders, Oghren, and Justice were left to defend Vigil's Keep. I usually bring Anders with me, but I think having him and Justice in the same location makes what happens later make more sense. I prefer the Anders from the epilogue, however, and wish they'd found another mage to merge with Justice instead. Oh well. My epilogue ended up bugged anyway since it said Natia went back to Alistair. Uh, wut? Al died killing Archie and Natia ran off with Zevran. Speaking of Zev, Natia is going to have a long chat with him about the Crow assassins still coming after her, not to mention the ones who (supposedly) stole Vigilance. He needs to take them out. :pinched:

Some epilogue slides:

Holy geez... that's exactly my ending and choices! Including Zevran, but my epilogue stated it. You've got a bug there for sure. Lol

And I will never forgive BW for not making Nate a romance option.

So, after finishing WEWH Bruce decided to fight the Abyssal High Dragon. It was a hard fight, Dorian kept dying, but eventually we won.

tumblr_nqbo7bu3JA1rr7n8lo5_1280.png

Then Bruce talked to Vivienne about the Snow Wyvern heart and went with her, Dorian and Iron Bull to the Exalted Plain.

tumblr_nqboh1EmAo1rr7n8lo2_1280.png

Didn't take long to find the Wyvern and kill it, but Bruce decided that he didn't want to go back to Skyhold yet, but fight the Gamordan Stormrider. The fight wasn't bad, but a bug happened and I wasn't able to switch characters. At all. I only could switch when the chara I was controlling died.  The second and even worse bug (imo) was, when I finally ended up by Vivienne and wasn't able to use her Focus skill. Even tho the Focus bar was full (1 bar) I couldn't use Resurgence.  :( I did manage to revive the others, only to get wiped by the dragon.  :pinched:

Is it just me, or does the Winter Palace mission take really long? Sweet little Lavellan went to Halamshiral today to save the empress, and spent, like, ages there. Now, back at Skyhold, she can barely believe it was just one night. It's like time went differently in there. By the end of it she was exhausted, to the point she couldn't even dance when Solas asked her to. That was okay, however. Cuddling felt nice also.
Turns out, sweet little Lavellan hates politics, Orlesian brand of it in particular. She doesn't understand it at all, it depresses, frustrates and angers her. She also hates large parties full of unfamiliar people. What she'd give to trade it for a quiet night with a book. Or with Solas. She didn't just think that
Funny thing by the way, Solas seemed to be the only one enjoying their time at Halamshiral - sweet little Lavellan was annoyed and tired, Cole was totally confused, and Bull was threatening to wear some noble's skull for a mask. Sweet little Lavellan never liked the Qun much, but when afterwards Bull pointed out that whatever its faults, the Qun was better than Orlesian politics, she couldn't help but agree.
Actually, Sera put it best:

Spoiler
This. So much this.

Well. At least sweet little Lavellan looked absolutely stunning in black.
Spoiler

Solas, you lucky bastard.
Spoiler

Back on topic of Orlesian politics, the night at Halamshiral bore quite unexpected results. The empress ended up dead, grand duke Gaspard blackmailed into obedience, and Briala put in power behind the throne. Sweet little Lavellan was so fed up with all their mess at that point, she didn't even feel guilty.

Well, dying laughing isn't the worst way to go :P Great screenies as always, by the way!

In my own news, I booted up an old save of DAO, since I have no idea where I left off with DAI and my PS3 ate my most recent Warden, and found a decent character to do some of the DLC with, since I figured it'd be quick and not too terribly involved. Apparently I forgot how much I enjoyed reading every little codex entry I could find. So, Aubrey Tabris and her faithful friend Barkspawn Harbinger went in search of Morrigan! The shack that amazingly didn't burn down in the Great Battle of Bard, Duelist, Elderly Mage, Templar Drop-out, and Huge Surprise Dragon of 9:30 Dragon, did not turn up much of an answer. On the bright side, we did pick up another friend. Two, actually. I think the Warden just sort of collects them at this point.

Grumpy Hero Lady dragged her new band of misfits around the old Cadash Thaig, where we may or may not have run in many circles to, um, get to know each other better (Maker, I miss banter trigger locations...) and find some lost lore, and the Circle of Magi, which is looking slightly less bloody-demon-war now. We even heard a reference to Kirkwall, which was a nice little easter egg that Tabris of course has no understanding of at all

By the time we finally tracked Morrigan down, I was kind of in a hurry to get things done. So there may have been a fight with a Varterral on NM. With fire bombs. Not realising that friendly-fire was a thing. Oops?

Whatever, it died and we finally got to talk to Morrigan! Of course, talking never really got anywhere with her. Despite being BFFs, Tabris couldn't convince her to stay and couldn't go with her (Leliana might disapprove a bit of that. Also, who would take care of the dog, the bickering mage and elf? No thanks), so after all of that, we watched Morrigan walk through a mirror and disappear from poor Tabris's life. But hey, she's pregnant with a child that has the soul of an Old God, so Tabris'll probably hear something about that in the future. Perhaps from her nice tropical island where she'll retire and totally not run off on some mission or another when a certain delusional Magister-God shows up ;)

So from the Wastes to Skyhold.  talked to the 'support people' of Skyhold.  Mother Giselle, Dagna, Harrot, etc.  Then off to do more crafting, crafted Cassandra a new shield.  And in the tradition of pissing Corypheons off named it the 'Organe Templar'.  Speaking of which, on that subject, yesterday changed the Inquisition's banners to the Tevinter ones.  I am going to do as much possible to mock the living heck out of Corypheus.  :P

Then after that off to the Emprise.  I did a little dance when I got my first batch of Silverright.  I love that stuff.  Plus murdering more of the helpless wildlife of Thedas (yeah right helpless wildlife :P) Ran into like 3 great bears and 2 pack of Wolves back to back to back, did upwards of 13000 of damage with Mark of Death once.  Also did the same thing to two Pride Demons pretty much.  lol.  Lots of death.  Met Michel De Chiven and began taking back the Emprise.  Again I hope to start crafting some Tier 3 gear while its still worth it. :/

On an aside note ran a couple of interesting war table missions.  One of them 'the powers across the sea', we got a note...from the actual powers across the sea.  One of the things I love about Inquisition and the DA lore in general is that, to the best of my knowledge, many Sci Fi/ fantasy settings have a single continent setting but a legend about someone being the 'first' of their kind to settle on it.  The first men in DA, Humanity in Halo and SG franchises, and in Elder Scrolls.  In Dragon Age you have both humanity, and then the Qunari being realative new comers.  The question is "what were these groups running from?"  Especially in the Qunari's case...DA points to an answer.  Then the other one being we had some Orlesian nobles that were up to their being Orlesian nobles and mercenaries...Leilina suggested poisoning them all.  My mouth went agape.  It was a bit blood thirsty...and Kara went for the more peaceful, yet still quite evil option, of letting Josie at them.  lol.  She hates nobles but its probably not a good idea to poison your allies.  Meh either way it was still tempting but Josie's language still indicated she was putting the screws to them.

i am about to enter battle with coryphytit, have done pretty much everything else from maps to the war table all done, i forgot to buy the golden nug and spent most of my remaining cash of rep for inquisition points. sadly i didn't realise it maxed out and i spent 30k on things i did not need….should have loaded. i have either found of bought all the crafting recipes i can. so wish me luck.

decided to make some armour before i left. so i made some armour that required a rogue elf. which yeah i could wear but i made it to get the achievement not because its better then what i already have so i decided to give it to a companion.  so i think. it must be a rogue, i have cole (no not elf), maybe varric, hmm also not elf. have to give it to Sera, but oh wait she can't wear the damn thing….

amusing though i have a few questions i have literally (and i mean that in the correct sense of the word) done the first part of origins over 100 times. i did all the DLC and the bonus campaigns like the dark spawn, and hunt for the witch and all the rest, but Alistair never has that nice warden armour at the beginning. how is it that you've got him in nice stuff.  (and a side note, before i do the joining ritual and strip  Jory and Daveth of all gear and sell what i can't use. i do this for a little extra spending money at the start of the game)

Lol why does everyone strip the destined dead? Their clothes always end up in my inventory after they die automatically. Same with my Cousland's mother.

I do it because my first ever character was a dwarf, which i promptly swapped over to Dalish. anyway i went to preison and lost everything before even leaving the deep roads, kinda annoyed me so i sold everything after that.

Better safe than sorry, eh? Lol seriously though, that bug sucks. At least I'm assuming it's a bug. It's never happened to me, but I'm keeping my eye on it from now on. I remember someone did it to poor Alistair before the Landsmeet. Stripped to almost nothing. I try and get some Noble Clothes for him to wear before he leaves me for good.
