It was a fun fight. With Kubrie's new gear giving all those extra hidden blades attacks, The Greater Mistral was really no match for the group by then.

Yeah, ReShade is really amazing. It sharpens colors and adds small graphic changes, that makes it look more 'cinematic'. It cuts my FPS by half, but as I said, I'm gonna use it only when going on screenshot spree. Those are my favourites from yesterday.

After you capture the Griffon Wing Keep, you get a request to deal with the varghests pestering soldiers and attacking caravans. Cullen suggests to send in forces to kill the beasts, but Leliana points out that the problem is partly our fault as it was us who disturbed the varghests in the first place... Sweet little Lavellan, all caring and nature-loving, went with Leliana's suggestion to have the Inquisition's rangers lead the varghests to a better habitat... and got this report from captain Rylen afterwards:

On the subject of Rylen's war table missions, I love when Leliana suggests that your soldiers' morale could be improved with better shoes. It's a lovely nod to Origins. Unlike the Varghest mission, it seems to work well!

Now On Topic: I had a little fight with the graphic settings and.... well, the result can be found in the bad screenshot thread. x"D

 

Bruce went to the Emerald Graves to fight commander Duhaime and afterwards to Villa Maurel.

Being in a Villa, Sera just couldn't help herself.

Sadly they couldn't keep playing around, because they still had to fight general Maliphant. His men died fast, but he was more trouble, killing Sera, Varric and Vivienne with his stealth attacks. So Bruce had to fight him alone, but eventually he won.  Don't try to fight an angry, overprotective mage. You'll just end up frozen and roasted.

After Maliphant was defeated and Sera, Varric and Vivienne back up on their feet, they went on to further explore Villa Maurel. Just when they were about to enter the last room, the last of Maliphant's men appeared, but he didn't last long against two mages and two archers.

Nearing the end of another playthrough. I didn't recruit Blackwall, but he is seen just before the Inquisitor chooses what to do with the Wardens. I would be curious as to why he's there since he seems completely clueless about what's happening when first meeting him in the Hinterlands. The only thing he knows is that there is a hole in the sky. 

 

I saved Celene again. I've never chosen the other 2

 

For now I  need 5 more power points before I can head to the Arbor Wilds.

Well its sad.  Coming to the realization that I am coming to the end of another wonderful playthrough of this amazing game.  And it is kind of sad.  Plus the confusion on whether to up the difficulty and this night has been more depressing then not.  But once I made up my mind on the difficulty struggle.  I got into it more.  DA, and DA I in particular, will always be a more tremendiously sad experience then playing the ME games.  Since without new game plus, or without face codes, it makes it that much harder to play a new play through with the same Inquisitor ever again...the game being so long also decreases those odds a bit.  So each Inquisitor will essentially be the first and last time we will play them.  But boy has it been a ride.  And in my laughter at Cullen and Leliana's antics tonight there was a bit of tears too, realizing that the relationships Kara Trevelyan has come to forge with her people soon will come to an end.  And then getting to know this Inquisitor over the course of the game.  We started off on shaky ground, feeling each other out, shyly, dancing around each other till, without quite realizing when and where we have gotten very comfortable in each other's presence, and the decisions come naturally.  The character who she is is flowing.  And this maybe my most natural RP character to date, letting her make the decisions.  

 

Anyways...clean up is the word of the day.  Started doing companion quests, finished Promises of Desctruction and Well, ****.  Then off to liberate Suledin and kick Imshael in his daddy bags.  Started my one woman mission to rid Southern Thedas of Giants once and for all.  And now I am in the Chateu doing the haunted quest.  

 

It is amazing how powerful my Inquisitor has become, I am doing over a thousand points of damage with the basic attacks.  Mark of Death detonations have resulted in over 13000.  But yet I am still keeping it at the nice comfortable normal...my companions are still a little on the squishy side.  

OH and I had sex with Cullen...erm Kara did...and OH pics will be shared eventually.  If not here then elsewhere.

Final stage of JoH with Rhiannon Lavellan. (spoilers!)

She had a mini-meeting to prepare the Avvar for the Hakkonite battle. Rhiannon was reluctant to lose soldiers, because she's a softie. Totally alien to Avvar psychology, because Svarah was looking at her like.

Storvackr the bear helped out during the assault on the Hakkonite base, which was just marvellous! The party made a few comments, though I kept missing them. Honestly didn’t realise that Rhiannon was getting attacked by floating chunks of ice until Cole said the equivalent of “Nah-nah, can’t freeze me!”  Inside the ruins was even colder, and Veilfire didn’t help to warm anyone at all. We did find an adorable new friend though.

Rhiannon, Cole and Sera are going to make an army of them when they get back to Skyhold. That will scare Coryfish 2.0 away, I'm sure. 

 

Gurd was a tough fight! He kept putting out all the braziers and summoning his minions to fight. Sera took the worst punishment, somehow. Possibly because she was always at close range and didn’t use Leaping Shot to escape.

 

After a gruelling fight, Rhiannon found herself a little starstruck: Not only did she meet the first Inquisitor, but he’s an elf mage too! She shared the sad truth about Orlais since Ameridan and Drakon’s friendship, but lied to him about Telana. Rhiannon said Telana lived happily until old age, but Ameridan knew the truth. Ah well, she only wanted to make it easier for him to pass on into the next world. Cassandra also got to speak to him about the Seekers. You know, my respect for Cass just goes up-and-up all the time. She always takes things in her stride and adapts. 

 

They looted some lovely new armour for Rhiannon, thought it isn’t really her style. Perfect for some of my other Inkys though (Adaar will be thrilled!). Before going to fight the dragon, they went memory hunting. It seems the Hakkonites (or the dragon) destroyed the boathouse. Rude. Rhiannon was pretty disheartened to hear that Ameridan’s final wishes went ignored by the elves. It left her wondering if her efforts would be so easily forgotten when she was gone?  She’s tried to improve people’s lives, and doesn’t want to think it will all be for nothing.

 

The dragon ended up being an easier fight than Gurd, and Rhiannon celebrated her victory in the Basin by trolling Cassandra.

No need to sell Skyhold! Liam has Trevelyan money backing him. He's willing to give to a friend (especially a heartbroken one). First round is on him!

He will not be buying Sun Blonde Vint for everyone though. He pays for that for himself alone (again long story about memories).

Most of the loot containers really are random.  I swear I didn't see this last time, as I searched on the way in....  I shouldn't have looked up.

 

 

On a brighter note, this is why I don't worry about loosing track of lurkers.  I can always pick them off my back later.
